I've been a loyal customer of Luna Grill Aliso Viejo since they first opened. Over the years, I've consistently had positive experiences--I've shared compliments with managers and regional leadership, brought clients and colleagues for lunch meetings, and even used them for catering at my son's school. Our company has also relied on Luna Grill for catering. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I was informed that ca sh was no longer accepted as a form of payment. That experience didn't align with my expectations, and as a result, I've decided not to return. We will also be exploring other options for catering. If management plans to respond, I would respectfully ask that you don't. This policy simply doesn't make sense to me, and there isn't anything that would change my decision for myself, my family, or my company. I hope this feedback is helpful. The Wife and I were in the area and I typed "Mediterranean" into Yelp and Luna Grill popped up. So we sauntered on over to grab some Greek tasty bits. We reviewed the menu and with the help of the very friendly person behind the counter (manager?), The Wife ordered the chicken plate and I ordered the gyro plate. We both chose Greek salad and hummus as our sides. We got to choose one side for our plate and I cannot pass up tzatziki, same with The Wife, but I saw a Garlic Feta sauce that was calling my name, so I added that to my selection for a minor fee. We were issued the number 59 and wandered off to the drink fountain and then to our table. Soon after, our food was brought to the table by another cheerful employee and were asked if we needed anything else. Nope, we were ready to dig in. There was nothing on my plate I did not like. Greek Salad - fresh and cruncy veggies - BOOM Salad Dressing - a lot for a small salad, but on the side you could regulate the covering. Delicious. - BOOM Pita - warm and soft - BOOM Hummus - creamy and tasty - BOOM Gyro Meat - warm, some crusty edges, not dried out, perfect and oh so good. - BOOM Tzatziki - on point and bright refreshing taste - BOOM And the winner is: Garlic Feta Sauce - holy moly, this was fantastic. What a great flavor and so much garlic punch. Yum, yum, yum. BOOM, BOOM! Get it, you won't regret it. Get it now! The Wife had nothing but good things to say about her chicken plate and shared the same accolades about the sides as I did. Her chicken kabob was perfectly grilled and juicy. Overall a great experience and we will be back when we are in the area. It also comes with pita bread and a dipping sauce. Today I tried the Chickpea Medley instead of a salad and I regretted it. The chickpeas were hard and flavorless. Won't be getting that side again. I love this place very much because the food here is super delicious, the service was awesome, the ambiance was amazing, and the upbeat music was really good. I eat at the RSM location all the time, and the meat here is so much better. The chicken kebabs have more seasoning and they are more juicy and not overcooked. The pita bread is better, too. I would give this zero stars if I could. We received our two entrees delivered and the chicken in both were not fully cooked. It is really upsetting and unsafe to consume chicken that is undercooked. I paid for the meal, waited for it to be delivered and when I was going to eat it, I could not. It's ridiculous that a restaurant cannot cook chicken properly. Luna Grill was always my go to for a quick healthy meal until they changed their salad options. I still enjoy their protein options but I really miss their Fuji apple walnut salad. Their new salads are not as fresh & it seems like they are mass produced because some old wilted pieces show up in my meal. I imagine the salads were always mass produced but somehow they don't seem as fresh now. Not sure changing their salads was a good business move because I wonder if less people are buying their food as often to avoid the salads like me. read more
