DO NOT PURCHASE FLOORING FROM THIS COMPANY. The parent company is EMPIRE. I spent about $12,000 for Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring. The vinyl planks were installed in January 2023. The flooring is in my small condo. I live alone and keep a clean house. I noticed the floor buckling at the seams, back in September. I contacted Luna and sent pictures. Luna sent the original installers to evaluate the cause. Luna's website states that a soft mop, water and a mild soap could be used for cleaning their vinyl plank. Now, I'm being told that using water negates their warranty. This flooring has now split and peeled from some areas of the plank. I had another licensed flooring installer evaluate the flooring, which was deemed inferior and the workmanship deemed shoddy. Luna sent a copy and paste response, but continues to deny responsibility. SAVE YOURSELVES! read more

We had a one-star experience with Luna. A friend of mine recently had a 5-star experience with Luna. The terms of condition for a Yelp review is that it must reflect my personal experience. We wanted vinyl wood laminate flooring for all floors in our newly purchased, 60 yr. old ranch house. We were realistic in knowing that it was going to be a big expense. The soonest we could book an appointment with a salesman to come out was about 1.5 weeks. Doesn't sound like much but we couldn't move into our new house until the floors were completely done. The salesman was fine. I signed up for the 1 yr. same as cash promotion so I did not need to leave a deposit that night. The 2 floor guys came out several days later. They pulled back the carpets and said 'We can't install the flooring. There is a crack in the perimeter of the foundation and the floors are not level". I was seriously panic stricken. They spoke to their manager, waited for 15 minutes or so for the manager to call and speak to us. That didn't happen so they left! What???? I spoke to a couple of house inspectors and learned that a crack in the perimeter of the foundation and the floor sinking is not an unusual occurrence. It is fixed by mixing a compound to fill the crack and to level the floor. Once it dries, the laminate can be installed. We never received a call from the manager. I was glad I did not leave any down payment. We brought in another flooring company. They assessed the situation and said 'No problem. This is not uncommon. Normally we do not even mention it to the home owners. It is just part of how we install the laminate.'. A couple of days later, someone from Luna called and asked my husband what the installers told him. They confirmed the contract was cancelled. This whole series of events cause at least a 2 week delay in getting the floors layed and getting us moved into the new house. For us, Luna - Not recommended. read more

We didn't feel comfortable with the way business was handled with Luna. Our down payment was taken before I was able to look at the contract, and the contract didn't have any breakdown of pricing or any square footage on it at all. The original price was stated in the contract, rather than the "price matched price" our salesman gave us (which I was told when canceling the order that there was a note from him about our sales price). Therefore, I wanted some type of contractual proof that I was getting my floor for the lower price, and all I received was an unprofessional email stating my deposit and price. It was literally an email from the salesman who wrote in lowercase letters. Also, I like all of my information up-front and explained, which it wasn't. At our initial estimate, I didn't know our HOA had regulations about flooring, but our salesman did ask about any. Later, when I reached back out to our salesman about continuing business with Luna, when explaining our HOA regulations of a sound transmission test of 45 for flooring, I asked if we needed to add underlayment for our floors (which I asked about underlayment on our initial estimate meeting, as well, and our salesman said we didn't need it, but then once I stated the HOA regulation, he said we'd need cork). However, we received NO info about what the flooring sound transmission was without the underlayment (the new company we went with gave us a sheet with all of this info right up front, and we learned we DON'T need underlayment because the vinyl is thick enough). With Luna, no proof was given that underlayment would actually be needed. Our salesman just claimed we needed it and said, "Well in that case, you will need cork underlayment." Overall, I believe transparency and communication were both missing during my experience with this company, and we believe we made the right decision to cancel the order. read more

I had luna install my laminate and vinyl flooring and I do not recommend them to no one. The installation was bad and customer service is horrible. The person that has my account name Mandy Corona was not helpful at all. She took to long to respond to my emails, and at first wanted to discard me by saying that I no longer was under warranty and that was that. So the second time around I told her that I was considering to pay the extra the ridiculous amount more just to have someone come and take a look and give me an estimate. To fix the floor that they badly installed in the first place. She sends a guy over and goes around writing on his notepad and says that the damages were to much for the material that he had. Leaves without even giving us any explanation. Do not hear from anyone for several days. I reach out to Luna again and this person Mandy tells me that the repairs will come out to 5,000. At this point I was done. That is half what I'm still paying for from the original installment . So my advise is do not go with Luna for your floor replacement, lousy work and lousy customer service. They do not hold themselves accountable anything after they install. I will never go with them again. I decided to go with someone else. read more

This company and Empire are one in the same. They're owned by the same people. I totally turned off. They came out to look at a floor that Empire had already looked at; Empire said they couldn't do the installation b/c a small piece of concrete was missing. I question why the rep even came out--knowing that Empire couldn't do the work and the two companies are the same. All of this might have been fine except I could overhear the rep's supervisor on the other end of the phone telling the rep how to "play" me and how to "handle" me. Luna came and installed my wood floors for close to $6,000. When doing a walk through I noticed my hallway looked crooked. I then was walking to go down stairs and the top step was not even attached and is now sitting at about a 45 degree angle. After further review of my floors I moved all their garbage they left an saw they had covered up a vent in my floor! I called to have someone come look and resolve the issue. They sent the gentleman who originally was a very nice guy who also installed the floors. So that being said they sent the most biased person to come give me a resolution. This gentleman told me that the floors look good and my walls were crooked. He also told me that he forgot to tell me not to step on the stair for 24 hrs. He left and I called them back again to send a non biased party to come look at my floors. It has now been over 12 days and I have not received a call back. Also every time I call to talk to someone I literally sit on hold waiting on the next customer service rep for 1 hour and 15 min minimum and don't have anyone answer my call. I don't recommend Luna as they hire sub contractors to do their work and have no accountability for any work performed. I assumed that being a big company as they are they would at least care and try to do good work. And if they do mess something at least try to get it resolved in a timely manner. Instead I get no response and my calls blocked. The first picture is the step falling off. The second is the vent they said was never there. And the third is the crooked hallway. I forgot to mention where they started laying the floor goes from almost a full board to literally 1 inch of a board. I will attach that as well read more

We had engineered hardwood flooring installed about two years ago. Warranty issue 3 tickets have been issued and this is been going on for 8-month keep scheduling an appointment for repair. No one shows up and no one calls. I keep promising to call back and don't know why the installers didn't show up, nothing was noted. Problem not resolved and nobody seems to care. I highly recommend not doing business with ****!!! Their "run you around" approach and tactics are old. It is designed to wear a customer out, *********** does not have to be held accountable for their quality lacking product and workmanship! We had carpeting installed in several rooms and hallways/staircases. After the job was finished, we noticed that the installers cut a portion of our existing vinyl flooring when they cut the carpet to fit on the staircase. The installers denied doing this, despite having never noted it on the initial walkthrough. Luna did not do anything to resolve this issue and we had to file a claim with the installer's insurance company. After a lot of phone calls and headaches, nothing was done to resolve the issue. The insurance company took the side of their client (the subcontracted installers), who completely lied and claimed that we told them that our dog chewed that piece of vinyl flooring. We tried to, once again, resolve the issue with Luna and they have refused to do anything to make it right. This company has the worst customer service that we have every seen! read more

Ask for an itemize invoice!! I purchased carpet and laminate. I asked for an itemize list of charges and was told that Luna does not do that as it is a "bundled" price. I insisted and only received the total price for each carpet and flooring. I estimate that I was over-charged $3000-4000!! Approximately $24 sq/ft! for laminate. When I brought up this issue I was simply told "you signed the contract". A month has gone by and I still have not received an itemize invoice and have been ignored by the manager with this request. It is my right as a consumer to receive an itemize cost of what I am purchasing. Shame on me for signing the contract. I regret dealing with Luna. Do not make the same mistake! Shop around! Demand an itemized cost of doing the job! The installers of the carpet and flooring did a good job. This review is not about the installation. read more

DON"T do it..... they don't care about you after they have your deposit. There are no windows for installations or service calls....... so you need to be at home ALL day.... NO work, no running your kids to school. And if the installation goes bad.... yep... those calls to fix the carpet are also ALL DAY.... so factor that into the price of the carpet.... no work... I am not one my 2nd service call to fix the carpet....nails sticking out.... so yep... that is 3 days without work... do they tell you this when they sell it to you.... Too bad there is no rating's lower then 1 star. This company---LUNA CARPETING-- are literally crooks. The sales person who came to my home tried 1st to get me to pay $20 thousand for 3 bedrooms, not big. 1 living room, also not as big as you would imagine aprox. 12'x 23', and 1 den 20'x18'(no measurement on the contract or price per sq.ft. AND HE SAID HE DIDNT' KNOW THE SQ,FT. PRICE--I WONDERED LATER HOW HE CAME UP WITH ANY PRICE AT ALL.) . That was easy to say no to. So then he comes down to 11,968.00 and like a fool I actually just took that, and even put a down payment of $968.00. It was not a good decision, but I also new I had another company ( CENTURY TILE) WHO WAS GOING TO GIVE ME A QUOT FOR EXACTLY THE SAME STUFF.) Century, with out knowing the other price from LUNA, told me that with the best padding, I would have to pay them $6,500.00, I got that quote from them the day after getting Luna's ridiculous price. Having the 3 days of grace period I called right away and canceled the contract with Luna, until the salesman (BRIAN STERNSTEIN) told me "They would match the price exactly, no problem." That's there guarantee. Then my worst mistake was to trust this Sternstein guy, and let them install the carpeting. They showed up with the wrong carpeting, for 1 room, but were able to get it that day anyway. Unfortunately, they showed up with no updated contract, and this sales person promised to have it out to me that day also, never showed up, never called ( ever again), and did not update the contract at all. leaving the charge for this carpeting, still at $11,968.00 rather then the $6,500.00 I was promised. This also should have included the buy 1 room get the 2nd room free-LOL. Learn from my bad mistake's--- don't do anything with Luna flooring, don't trust them at all, and if you ever have this sales person (Brian Sternstein) in your home because you want to give Luna a try. Throw him out as fast as you can, and OBVIOUSLY, never trust Luna Flooring for any thing at all, especially promises about price, unless you have it on a contract BEFORE they start to install. This also has to be considered when dealing with EMPIRE. Since EMPIRE bought Luna out before this even happened. read more
