I visited the mansion for the We May be Right band concert and enjoyed the experience. Whenever you…read morego for a concert, you also have the opportunity to visit the outdoor areas such as the fountain, gardens and take some nice photos. We brought a cooler with some snacks, drinks along with our beach chairs and it was a very pleasant afternoon. They also have a vending machine selling water and some other items should you need. Every single staff member I dealt with was super friendly and the place is beautiful. It's a good opportunity to take some nice photos. And the "We may be right" Billy Joel tribute band made our experience even more pleasant. I haven't visited the Planetarium or the inside part of the mansion so I can't comment on that.

I get free tickets through AARP for the first show of the month and this month is The Grateful Dead. As we were guests of the band often (our friend was Brent Midland's assistant) we saw many a concert. My husband was blah about going, but really happy after. It blew my mind - and I don't do drugs. The sound system was amazing. The lasers were surprisingly good, although quite antiquated. My favorites were when you felt you were enveloped in the lasers. I was lost for an hour, in a good way. Luckily, hubby has a handicapped placard and we were able to park steps from the front door. I would have liked to have parked in the regular parking lot and walk, but that's no longer in the cards for us. The grounds are beautiful for as much as we could see in the dark.We would have loved to see the meteor shower, but that was not in the cards either. The show was from 9:30pm to 10:30pm (way past my bedtime) and over an hour away which was a complete bummer. In any case, this was a wonderful event. Join AARP if you're over 50 as the benefits are great.

Came here on Saturday and from the moment I walked in there was a bustling good vibe. I spoke to a woman in the bathroom and she said even if you don't have a reservation, you can always find a spot on the grass or chairs. There's plenty of room to hang out. Our server Les was incredible! You can tell when you have a great experienced waiter that is truly good at their job and love what they do! Pay him whatever he wants and never let him go! He truly made the dining experience above and beyond. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and he asked me if I wanted a glass or a bottle and I told him I couldn't drink a bottle because I had to drive home. He told me if I was gonna have two glasses. It would end up being about equal to the bottle price and that I could take the rest of the wine home! What a nice surprise, and the fact that he pointed out made me feel like he goes above and beyond for his customers! Now let's talk about the food! I was in a party of three and they had ordered the appetizer sandwich for the table which was gigantic! Both of the other guests love the sandwich, but I didn't try it because I do not like prosciutto. The truffle chips were fantastic; I'm still thinking about them and I didn't even know I liked truffle! I ate 90% of them. The portions are massive but in a good way because the food is exceptional! One guest was so full from the sandwich that she opted to not order an entrée I ordered the margarita flatbread and it had to be over a foot and a half long. I ended up taking half home and my husband ate it and said it was delicious as well. The other guest ordered the meatballs and I tasted them and they were quite delicious. By the time the meal was over we left with half a sandwich half a flatbread and some extra meatballs. For dessert: we got a llimoncello flute and I got the largest lemon beautifully presented with lemon sorbet! I told us I don't usually take pictures of my food, but this was photo worthy! The wine was one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc that I've ever had in my life! We will definitely go back for the food and definitely will be purchasing the wine again! 4/5 food 10/5 for the service and ambience Thank you for a wonderful experience on a beautiful afternoon! Overall, ranking above five just due to the experience

The potato was pretty good took. I didnt mind so much grass (lettuce) for once. The cheese on top of the lettuce is pretty salty but the creamy dressing balances it out. The spicy sauce on the side was way too spicy for me. 3/5 Bavarian pretzel $17- pretzel itself is standard, comes with honey mustard, spicy brown mustard, & mayo sriracha. I liked both of the mustards. 3/5 Meat & cheese board $59- didn't try the meat or bread but comes with grapes, cranberries, dates, olives & nuts. Everything I tried was decent.
