Additionally the coaches run a tight ship while keeping kids on task. During this tough time - covid shutdown- they have offered Zoom practices. My kid has had other Zoom practices and classes and they're always sort of a mess. Rob and his coaches run theirs just like a regular practice - tight! It's clear that a lot of thought and planning go into each one. And, more important she's learning. She loves the practices. She says they almost make her feel like life is normal for a minute. They've been like an anchor during this tough storm! Thanks for doing the right thing for these kids.

I also enjoy the track that circles the complex. I have seen as many as 8 species of birds. This would be a 5 star revue except for the people who toss trash all over. There are plenty of trash bins but the parking lot and basketball courts have too much trash. Another issue that might only upset me is some people let their dogs use the facility without having them on leashes. And in October of 2014, some idiot let their dog use 2 basketball courts as a toilet. Great facility, poorly behaved citizens.

Most recently, they discounted a couple of players by nearly all of the membership fee. To offset the loss they made the other players pay hundreds more. I was told it was director hussman's decision. The irony is, after the first tourney, one of the players (who got the massive discount) quit. While at a tournament, i heard hussman get asked by a mom 'the team keeps losing. what's going on w the team?' He pointed his finger at the players and listed their faults. It was shameful. Fyi, there's really no speak on college stuff. The college that they hv any connection to is the director's former college. You should call and ask and decide for yourself/kid. In the end, what's important is that they stretch the players. I'm not concerned about falling into line and hv the facade that everything's okay. Sportime volleyball needs to do better.

My daughter went on Sail Caribbean for the third time this year. She loved it the first year, the…read moresecond year she enjoyed herself but not enough to go on the following year. This year she went againn. She was loving it, she loves to scuba dive and sail. After one week I received a call from Mike that he was sending my daughter and a group of other kids home for having their cell phones. He also sent others home for drugs and Juuling. We had no idea that having a cell phone could send our daughter home, it was not in the contract. They actually talk about how the kids contact you while at camp, via their cell phones at certain times. So clearly, everyone brings them. When we did not comply with brining our daughter home immediately Mike decided to make her as uncomfortable as possible, leaving her and the other cell phone users outside on a concrete floor or wooden bench for the day. It ended when she contacted me and told me she was being eaten alive by mosquitos. I called Mike and told him that he had to let her inside. He got off of the phone with me and berated her for contacting me, keep in mind he had given her phone back to her. We actually have recordings of him yelling at her. He kicked out at least 3-4 kids so far for cell phones, one for using drugs, one for Juuling and one for not doing chores. There are much better choices out there for your teenager. Kids should not be sent home for having a cell phone, keep in mind, its at our expense.
