Delicious. Dinner is lengthy, but worth it. They're happy to make allergy accommodations, in my case, shellfish. A lot of value for cost. Thank you Lumbre

We had a good experience at this restaurant. The highlight from all the food we ordered were the bread and smoked bone marrow and the bluefin Tuna. The grilled salad needed a little more dressing (it was a little too dry). I really loved the Muhammara sauce they served with the cheese fondue.

Food was a spectacular experience, Cheff Fabian Came to our table because my girlfriend is an executive Cheff as well, after a long conversation seem that a collaboration is about to happens. Service was amazing, the knowledge of the food it's on point. Wine pairing variety was really good. The ambience was relaxing and inviting, decoration it's delightful and I love the picture of Anthony Bourdain by the entrance

So many nice things to say about Lumbre. Outstanding ambiance, vibe and staff. They really make you feel welcome. An elevated dining experience and we were very happy with the experience. Kitchen is open concept. It's dark and romantic. Went for my bday and tried quite a few delicious dishes. This seems like a place the menu will change seasonally so we can't wait to return next time. I will say we didn't have a bad option. The yellowfin tuna crudo was divine with the flavors and detail, definitely recommend. We made a reservation, definitely recommend you do so. There is a private dedicated parking lot, though it's in the central town area so not sure you need to drive. Incredible staff and attention to detail. Definitely go!

We had a great dinner here recently. They have seating inside and on the patio. The lighting sets a cool vibe. You can view the open kitchen/grill from your table. They didn't have a high chair, but my daughter was able to sit on a pillow at our elevated table. The complimentary bread and bone marrow butter were fantastic. The ceviche, oysters and blue fin tuna were phenomenal. The New York carne asada, roasted chicken and pork belly were all great entrees. They all had great flavor. The only down side was they were out of filets. Our reservation was for 6pm but they were out only an hour after opening. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and an anniversary. The restaurant gave them each a dessert, which was a nice touch.

Babymoon dessert

Lumbre was truly incredible. All of the staff, from the hostesses to the servers to the general manger were all so nice and attentive. We mentioned to the hostess that we were having a baby and she arranged a special dessert for us, so thoughtful. The food was also incredible. Highly recommend the crème brûlée donut dessert, one of the best desserts l've ever had!

What a find! This place came recommended by a friend, who is frequently in Cabo San Jose. We opted to give it a try & what a nice surprise. Tonight there was 6 in our group. We started off with a few cocktails & a starter of fresh bluefin tuna. There were about 3 salads: the compressed melon salad with endive & smoked tomatoes, the grilled romaine salad with avocado, seaweed & Parmesan cheese & lastly the bean salad - All 3 salads got devoured. Onto the mains: there were 2 fish specials consisting of halibut & served with fresh tortillas; an order of the New York carne asada just heavenly melted in your mouth: an order of the shrimp with spices that fit it perfectly; picanha barbacoa - a soup of sorts & an order of Brussel sprouts. Just screaming goodness all around! The flavor combinations were so well done, things you would not think to put together & the blend of flavors - BRAVO . Lastly desserts: there was 4 orders of the donuts which is filled with Crème brûlée served with a side of hibiscus ice cream & a pineapple cake of sorts with roasted pineapple & ice cream as well - scrumptious doesn't do the description justice. Definitely delicious & amazing. The service was on point, the chef visited the table, offered a suggestion or two for our vegan companion. This is a must stop if you're in the area.

Cuisine: 9 Service: 9 Decor: 9 Value: 9 Overall: 9 Give this restaurant a Michelin star please. Dark wood and stone decor, paired with open kitchen and live fire, makes the space very moody. From the outside, it appears trendy. Once you walk in, it's like a log cabin built for a comfortable cold night. I didn't go upstairs and therefore cannot give a description. Service was inviting and makes you feel at home. Other then our hostess and waiter, even one of the chefs came by to describe some of the food we could order that night. This helped a lot in my decision on what we want to try. What a creative and exiting menu that really opened up our appetite for the evening even though we were not very hungry walking in. Here are what we had. Bread & Bone Marrow Butter (9/10) - Complimentary from the restaurant. Wow! Glad they did because we would have missed one of the best things we ate that night. We liked it so much that we got a round two, then three. Lol Thai Coconut Clam (10/10) - Maybe the dish of the night. The amazingly rich, creamy, and sweet flavors balanced so well with the crunchy and briny chocolate clam. Wow! Fatty Tuna (7/10) - Being a sushi snob, this dish did not necessarily impress me, but still delicious nonetheless. The cut used was chutoro and it was tasty enough, but I feel that the dashi was a bit too overpowering. Allowing the fish and truffles to shine would have been better. Stone Grilled Oysters (8/10) - First of all, beautiful presentation. This was quite a delicious combination of shellfish grilled over open flames in a rich buttery sauce. Not to be outdone, the super crispy fries with avocado & ashes puree was awesome. Wild Shrimp (9/10) - Another major winner. Perfectly grilled on skewers with a delectable sauce. Honestly, I can't think of the last shrimp dish that I lobed so much. Tender & Crispy Octopus (7/10) - The sweetbreads on this plate actually stole the show. They were absolutely magnificent. The octopus was tender, almost to the point that it was slightly mushy. I would have preferred a tiny chew to remind me what I am eating. Also, there was definitely some crispiness, but I would certainly be okay if the chef charred the octopus some more. With that said, still a good dish overall. I found Lumbre through Yelp, so thank you for turning onto this wonderful place. This will be a must visit for all future trips to Los Cabos.

We truly enjoyed our meal here. The food is excellent although the menu is a bit limited. That being said, we all loved what we ordered. I would highly recommend the tuna tartar appetizer. They grate truffles on top at the table. Pretty epic. The only complaint I have about the experience is how loud the restaurant is and how uncomfortable the chairs are. I would go back though.

Great ambiance! Great food! Great service!! The food wasis delicious! Great flavors. Food was presented well , like edible art. The decore was unique and custom which suited the menu well. "Zarandeado" Fish- Toasted Garlic | Chiltepin | Grilled Avocado | Eggplant Made with catch of the day, halibut which was delicious . Very flavorful and not too spice-y. Baked beets- Labneh | Sweet Pistachios | Mustard Leaves | Smoked EVOO | Endives So yummy and refreshing!! Bluefin Tuna- Fermented Habanero | Dashi | Black Truffle Great taste and quality of fish. Habanero however, not too spice-y. Brussel Sprouts- Caramelized Seeds | Champagne Vinaigrette So good. Perfect crisp and crunchy topping was a great pairing!

Complimentary bone marrow butter

Fantastic service, cool space, fun menu, decent food. Came in for drinks and a snack after a Thursday Art Walk. The bar has a fun feel and the bartender was really attentive and nice. We ordered the octopus with sweetbreads which had good flavor but the octopus was a little mealy. The sweetbreads had a great texture though! We were incredibly surprised to find that the kitchen sends out a complimentary bread and butter (even though we ordered one entree to split) and the butter is whipped with bone marrow and smoked! My cocktail was decent and I had a glass of bubbly which was good. Would love to come back for a full meal!

Wow! What a great experience we had at La Lupita Taco and Mezcal…read more This is a taco place. Don't expect any else on the menu except soup & salad and a couple of apps & sides. There is an indoor area or outside courtyard you can choose from. We had the pleasure of working with several Staff members including our main waiter, Marco as well as Ivan and Miriam. They were all so fun and attentive. They brought us a small serving of soup as an appetizer. My husband had a taste of the tortilla broth which had a little kick to it and I had the bean soup. Both were a nice sampling of the soup they offered. We ordered the chips & huac to start. The chips were thick and crispy. The guacamole tasted super fresh and bright. Now, the tacos are some of the best tacos we've ever eaten in MX or the US. The creativity and variety of toppings were outstanding. I really enjoyed the EL TAKESHI 190MX Rib Eye, Sesame, Hoisin, Ginger, Chives, Crispy Shallots, Flour tortilla. The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavor they developed was delicious. I also ordered the MEXICAN FLANK STEAK $150MX. Fresh Chiapas Cheese , Arugula, Crispy Leek & Potato, Macha Sauce, Yellow Corn tortillas. All these flavors worked so well together. One of the tastiest tacos they have on the menu is a cheese based tortilla taco called CHEESE CRUST PASTOR $100MX. Talk about a flavor bomb. Marinated Pork, Asadero Cheese Crust, Cilantro, Onion, Pineapple. My husband also ordered the CHIPOTLE SHRIMP $165MX. Shrimp, Chipotle Cream, fried parsley, flour tortilla. He loved it. For my Arizona friends, they will be opening a Scottsdale location in 2027. I can wait. Add this to your must try restaurants. Also, they just opened a location in Dallas Texas.

It has that energetic taco-bar vibe people rave about, but still feels relaxed enough to really enjoy your meal. We started with the guacamole and it was excellent -- fresh, bright, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made to order. A great way to kick things off. For tacos, everything we tried was outstanding. The cheese shell al pastor was next level -- crispy, savory, and indulgent in the best way. The pastor had that smoky-sweet flavor people always mention in reviews, with just the right char. The miso fish taco was a surprise standout -- super flavorful, slightly sweet and umami-forward, and perfectly cooked. The milanesa taco had great crunch and seasoning, and the chipotle shrimp packed just the right amount of smoky heat without overpowering the shrimp. You can tell why so many reviews mention the creativity here -- these aren't just standard street tacos. The flavor combinations are bold and unique while still feeling authentically Baja. Service was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. Drinks were great, the energy was fun without being overwhelming, and the whole experience felt memorable. If you're in San José del Cabo and want elevated tacos in a vibrant setting, La Lupita is a must.

We were treated to bread service as well as a little bite to get us ready for our meal. The filet was cooked to perfection, medium rare and like butter. The mushroom sauce was delicious with the buttery potatoes and vegetables. The wedge was a little presentation, the half iceberg covered the big pieces of fresh shrimp, blue cheese, tomatoes and cucumber. Fresh and a great side for our shared steak. Flor de noche is in a great setting by the pool. Late night it is quiet and perfect for a nice meal. Music does turn off promptly at 10pm although service doesn't end until 10:30.
