I should have checked their reviews prior to purchasing from them. The 2.5 rating is high in my opinion. They did a terrible job and we have had nothing but problems since. SCAM ALERT - I was scammed by LL Flooring in North Hampton, NH. Dan Stefanski is the manager who refused to credit back to me my returns. Their pushy sales strategy is to have you over buy items and then refuse to allow you to return them even though they push you and scam you into buying more product than you need. Dan Stefanski is an unprofessional and rude person who smirked at me when I was trying to return items even though he told me they still carry them. Worse company ever. Update 4/20: corporate office has been in touch. They sent install company back out. The man was rude. They said nothing wrong with this install.. that it is normal to have flooring not go to the wall and installing a threshold in a floor to abutt door threshold is normal. Having exposed raw wood is normal and they see no issue with this install. Then corporate called me back several times telling me this nightmare is my fault. they tried telling me I told the installer to put all my furniture out in the rain. I was not here when it was done. I had my dog at an emergency vet visit. Then they told me that the store tried to stop the install and have me come in to pick out a smaller board which never happened. I had contracted with them do install 2 condos and I canceled the 2nd condos install. They offered to have me pick a smaller board for the 2nd condo. l have been told they are not going to throw money at this issue. I keep saying I want the install fixed. I have not been demanding money. trying to make me feel unreasonable. DON'T DO IT. HORRIBLE CO. DEPRECIATES YOUR HOME'S VALUE! I only give 1 star because I can't give less and still write a review. I contracted with Lumber liquidators to remove the wood and tile floors in 4 rooms and a hallway. It has been a disaster. 1. I called the store in Seabrook and spoke to Adam when the 1st room (my living room) was installed to inform him that the flooring has spaces and are not tight together. I sent him pics and he told me the space was expected and well within the hardwood flooring guidelines. I was told they do not see this as a problem. 2. The installer told me that it was happening because the boards are cheaply made and do not line up. 3. I was told that after he finished the install I need to but wood putty and fill in all gaps.... this after paying OVER $13000.00 FOR THE INSTALL I NEED TO FINISH IT... ARE YOU KIDDING ME. 4. The installer put my cream color sofa, loveseat and livingroom tables on the porch. He did not cover them. My husband and I put a tarp over them because it was raining. My livingroom coffee table is ruined from the rain. 5. They damaged woodwork and chipped the pain. 6. They left gobs of floor glue on the door frame. 7. They damaged walls I had just had painted which now need to be repaired/redone. 8. The installer moved my center island outside also. They broke 2 of the feet off and never said anything. They balanced the island on the broken feet and just left it. 9. The floor at the front entry door is incomplete with raw edges. 10. I have 3 boxes of wood left because they required me to buy extra. Dan in the Seabrook store told me they will only give me a store credit (as if I will ever give them business) because none of the pieces in the box are 7ft. So the installer used all long boards from the packages leaving me with hundreds of dollars in wood that is useless. I don't need 60sqft of flooring and would only need a few extra boards in case anything happens. 11. I spoke to a woman in the corporate customer service dept. She was very sympathetic and agreed that this was a terrible install. I sent her pics and now no one is responding. They scratch the lingerie chest and gentleman's cabinet that we had just bought. When they put our bed back together they did not do it correctly because we new have extra nuts and bolts. Bottom line... save yourself the heartbreak. Go with a specialist for wood flooring. Lumber liquidators does not stand by their product, their install and their warranty. I paid over $13000 and get asked by friends and family why there are gaps. We now thousands in damage because of lumber liquidators and they only ignore us. I am hosting Christmas this week and will now have more family point out what I see and cringe about every day. DON'T DO IT. YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED. We purchased beautiful flooring and did as recommended for the acclimation time frame in our home. The floor boards cupped and subsequently heaved. Upon filing a claim I was informed that I hadn't followed the directions and that I was SOL. We purchased the padding that was required, so as to not void our warranty, as we were warned by the sales reps, when I asked if this should be nailed down or glued they said nailed, there was absolutely nothing said about glue and nails being required. I was also informed that the 5 days recommended by the manufacturer was a bare minimum for acclimation. Diane at corporate told me there was no recourse and that we had simply done it incorrectly. I inquired as to why the sales rep didn't share any of this information, relative to glue AND nails, and her quip was "they can't possibly remember all those installation requirements." I will never purchase anything from this company again and neither should you unless you enjoy being treated like an ignorant child. I recently purchased a new exotic hardwood floor from LL Flooring in Hampton, NH. Truthfully, I REGRET giving them any business. In the middle of a $2200 purchase, the manager stopped waiting on me and handed me off to a salesperson as he wanted to "go run a personal errand." As we loaded the boxes of flooring into my vehicle, I asked about returns of any unused supplies/products, as they oversold the quality of flooring needed. They gave me a ripped box of flooring as part of the order. It was not used, so I went to return it to them. The salesperson accused me of ripping the box and argued about returning the ripped extra box of flooring they oversold sold to me. Oh, three days after I purchased the $2200 flooring, LL Flooring sent me an advertisement showing the exact exotic hardwood floor I just purchased on sale for a $1.00 less/foot than they charged me. I returned to the store. I showed the salesperson the ad from the company. He reluctantly credited my account for the $200 plus difference. Today, I went back to the store again for another very unpleasant experience. I went to return the extra threshold sold to me for $90.00. I was told that if it wasn't used, then it could be returned. I was purchased just over three weeks ago. The threshold was mailed to my house as they did not have any in stock in the store. It arrived in a plastic sleeve with a sticker that had my address on it. There was NO shipping box. Well, today's salesperson attempted to argue with me and didn't want to accept the unused and undamaged threshold back for return or credit to my account. I refused to argue and refused to leave without a refund. The flooring came with a fifty year warranty; let's hope I NEVER have to seek assistance with any issues under this....NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. POOR SERVICE and THEY BLAME CONSUMERS FOR THEIR POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES. I dont leave a lot of reviews but I felt like their service was so exceptional I wanted to let others know. Both times we have come in the staff has been so accommodating and very knowledgeable. Even when we had to return some flooring we decided not to use the staff member took the time to talk to us about the newer methods of install, pros and cons of different choices and this was all 15 minutes before closing. I cant review their install since we purchase and install ourselves. Overall a great experience from start to finish. read more

They made promises that they could never deliver on and wasted our time as well as the time of multiple tile installation companies. I had originally bought the laminate that had the formaldihyde that I had to return. I thought after that fiasco that would have their sh** together. I decided to give them another try and buy hardwood Bella floor. That was the worst decision I ever made! I just bought flooring that was discounted and they said it would have imperfections which they told me were little dings or wormholes. When my contractor opened the box it was different colors, chips in the wood, boards that weren't even usable and should have been tossed and not sold. My installer said he wouldn't even put this in a cabin! Then they sold me material that I didn't even need! They make you sign off sight unseen. If I would have seen the flooring I would have never signed off on it. By signing this it makes it almost impossible to return. Plus they charge you a 20% restocking fee. These do not seem like very ethical business practices. I looked at other Yelp reviews for other stores and they are similar to mine. Save your money and don't go there! There are many other reputable flooring stores in the area that have similar costs! What is the most comical is that they have a Yelp sign on the front door! read more

If I could give this company 0 'stars' I absolutely would. As a contractor, I have done years of business with Lumber Liquidators, spending thousands of dollars. Though in all my years, I've never had to cancel an order or return merchandise. My most recent experience was a different story. I went in and paid cash for Bella Wood flooring for a flooring project we would be starting the following day. I had called weeks before to check on the availability and they claimed to "ALWAYS have it in stock"... It was not in stock. They said there would be some in on Friday but I would need to pay that day to "lock in the price". Today when pulling up the carpet on my job, I found (to my surprise) original hardwood floors hidden under the carpeting that the customer decided she wanted refinished. I quickly called to cancel my order. They were able to quickly cancel my order over the phone but, to my surprise, I found that they REFUSED to give me a cash refund. Even worse, they refused to give me a refund from that location at all! They explained that cash refunds are handled by issuing 'corporate checks' and that I should call their headquarters for more information. No product has changed hands, nothing was special order, nothing was shipped from the warehouse to my local store. The only thing that ever changed hands was my cash less than 24 hours prior. I proceeded to call their corporate office and was met with the most abrasive customer service rep I have ever experienced. He informed me that they would send a refund check somewhere between 3-5 weeks. 3-5 WEEKS? I could wait over a month for them to return the money I handed them the day before for a product I never even had my hands on?! Lumber Liquidators obviously does not care about their repeat customers and I can see why their online reviews have been so awful. Shame on you Lumber Liquidators, you just lost a loyal, repeat customer and I will certainly put the word out to every contractor and homeowner NOT to order materials through any of your locations. read more

Got 13 boxes of Bellwood Select Red Oak 3 1/4" and installed it. Expected good quality. The wood had not knots and a nice finish. But when I was done, I noticed that the milling was off and many, many boards were different thicknesses and widths, leaving gaps or lips on the surface of the floor. Complained to LL and they said I should have measured the thickness of each board and width before installing and brought it all back to them, as defective. I felt they should have paid for refinishing the floor, so the surface was at least smooth. I could fill in gaps with filler. The idea that I best their best product and have to check for thickness on every board is infuriating. They must have know about this product defect, since they buy it in shipping container sized lots. So they knowingly sold me junk and said it was my fault I didn't measure each board before installing. That is not how flooring works.. somebody tell LL. Don't buy from them, if you need flooring to be the same thickness and widths. read more

Ended up NOT purchasing any flooring from this store. The salesmen were both unhelpful and seemed annoyed by my questions (which were not that many). When inquiring about availability I was asked to shout the stock numbers across the store so that the salesman did not have to get up from behind the counter. He seemed most interested in directing me to the higher end options than what I was interested in purchasing. None of the sale prices I had seen online were offered or available. I ended up going down the road to Uncle Hildes and finding just what I was looking for with salespeople who at least appeared to appreciate my business. read more

I purchased an in sock item and brought it back as perfect and still in the box and manager did not care . I called a few days prior to inform of the return and was not informed over the phone and the associate confirmed to the manager as such . Bad business .. Home Depot to Lowe"s do not have this bogus policy . Keep on driving by . Also when you are purchasing they tell you buy more square feet in case you need it,,,, really ???? and a re-stocking fee. read more
