The battle of athleisure continues in La Jolla with Lululemon and Vuori located right next to each other. While I've recently become more of a Vuori fan, there are certain staples that Lulu does best, especially their align leggings. (The 1 star goes to the La Jolla store not Otay Ranch. They get a 5 Star I went to the Lululemon store on Birch Road, Chula Vita and found a rain repellent coat. They only had a size 12 it was a bit small. The sales clerk told me the La Jolla store had the only size 14. On March 7th I drove 35 minutes to La Jolla store and they had two size 12 on the rack. I asked the clerk if they still had the 14 ? The clerk helped search for the coat using a hand held scanner. I assured her I checked each coat on the rack and there was no size 14. The scanner found a coat labeled size 14 but the coat was actually a size 12. She went to the front desk to double check the size only returning to apologized saying the coat was entered in the computer as the wrong size 14 not a 12. I later asked the clerk if she could order the size 14 jacket with a discount since I was inconvenienced driving 24 miles out of my way being told that the jacket was in stock at there store. The clerk checked with the store manager only to return to tell me they could not give me a discount since the coat was just mislabeled and not ordered as the wrong size. Very disappointed with Lululemon and their customer service after driving 48 miles round trip. read more

I was very resistant to this brand at first. I've been a Nike guy my whole life. I randomly tried a pair of shorts and quickly became a fan. High quality, great fit, and you can wash it as many times as you want and it still looks brand new. I absolutely love Lululemon now, and this is easily my favorite location. Located in the village, it has a great, clean set up and phenomenal staff. Morgan was very helpful with honest opinions when I was trying out different items. I felt like I had a personal shopper! Dee helped me at checkout and she was so warm and personable I felt like I was talking to a friend. I would absolutely buy in store from them versus online. Customer service is pivotal to business now and Morgan and Dee were a shining example of going above and beyond. Personally I would give them nice bonuses or raises or both! read more

I needed to overhaul my entire wardrobe and decided to do it with lulu because the quality is insane. I have worn Nike my whole life and thought those were the standard for athletic clothes. Heck no, I was wrong. Lululemon makes the best clothes of all time and you pay accordingly. This review is for the store, specifically. The first time I went, I was super lost. Someone noticed and was very friendly and helpful and I got a few things that I liked. I then returned to get a few pairs of joggers hemmed. Again, someone helped me out further than I expected and I really appreciated it. My pants were ready in a few days and I once again returned to pick them up. Was in and out of the store in 5 minutes. There was a slight issue with the hemming however, and I had to go back. They fixed it immediately and then some. This Lululemon store always has the pumped up music playing. I am happy that it is smaller than the Fashion Valley location because I spend less money. LOVE LULU. LOVE THIS LOCATION! By far the best one i've been to! Because this one isn't in the mall, it's really bright, big, and very open. It has all your lululemon essentials and even more! There's a ping pong table as soon as you walk in as well as a lounge area located in the back. The store is super cute all by far the nicest employees i've encountered. They guys that work here are VERY VERY VERY outgoing and are so welcoming- thanking me as i came in and made great conversation overall! Thank you to you educators as you have made me love lulu even more as they made great recommendations. Spending $$$ at this location makes it all worth it because they actually treat you with respect and are not snobs. Thank you guys! Street parking is limited but can be found. I have a couple of the little and wanted the large. She then asked if I wanted white or black. My husbo joked that the only reason I shopped there was for the bag. Hurray! Free yoga! On Sundays 9 am they clear out the store and push all the racks of clothing back to make room for yoga classes. The classes get crowded (since they are free) and mats are just a few inches apart so if you're one who needs room then probably not your cup of tea. The classes are taught by certified yoga instructors, from various studios around town (check the event calendar to see which studio is hosting the class) The instruction is more beginning level since you cant really ask people to do advanced inversions and balancing poses with the mats so close to each other, but it's a good class and free so no complaints there. Be sure to arrive early to sign your waver form and secure a good spot, i like being on the perimeter so i can have one less neighbor, or maybe even a wall or central post to give me something to hold on to in balancing poses just in case. read more

Since when is there a limit to what you can purchase with your R&D discount??!! And how dare you accuse me of trying to buy for a friend of mine when she ended up getting rung up from the other sales gal after me, you idiot! I don't need to justify why I want two of the same items in two different colors when fitness is my PROFESSION and I live in gym clothes 5 days a week!! Surprised my SIL with her 1st piece of Lululemon and the educators could not have been nicer. I ordered the crops online and they were ready for me to pick up in a snap of a finger. We tried them on but saw another color she liked better, swapped it out in a jiffy. I also rediscovered the Nulu with Lycra and decided to treat myself as well. I'm shameless. But the staff was super helpful and even gave me an extra reusable bag when I told her how sad I was that online orders no longer came with bags. I am a new lululemon addict and love this brand! At first, I was a skeptic and told myself it was overpriced but I went in to the store today (just to browse) and fell in love with the pants. I dance from 11am to 8pm on Monday and Wednesdays and workout for about an hour on the other days so I need something durable and comfortable. The pants are extremely comfortable and they feel like they will last me a very long time. If you are a skeptic, I'd suggest you go into a store and try the clothes on! Oh! I also fell in love with the sports bras. They are more comfortable than any other bras that I have tried on including Victoria's Secret sports bras. Since I wear athletic wear at least 5 times a week, I definitely think it is worth buying items that will last. The sales people at this store are incredibly nice. About 2 to 3 sales people came up to me and asked me if I needed help. I found some great-priced items on sale and bought a pair of pants today. I loved the attention I got in the store and loved that this store was well-staffed. Will definitely come back again!! read more

If I could afford it, I'd buy all my workout clothes at Lululemon, but I can't, so I can only frequent there every so often. The times I have been to this location, the staff has been very friendly and helpful. In my recent trip to Lululemon, I was greeted as soon as I walked in. While I was trying on some tops, one of the gals checked in on me. Afterwards, I asked about similar tops and one of them showed me where I could find more tops. Checking out was fast and friendly as well. In another trip to Lulu, I purchased a giftcard to send to someone. Unfortunately, it got lost in the mail. I contacted the store to see if they could do anything, and they couldn't but they gave me the corporate number to contact. (Corporate could only tell me that the giftcard hadn't been used, but couldn't do anything with cancelling the giftcard and providing me with a new one. Pretty poor system if they can view the card but can't make any modifications to it...) My experience at this location has been great and they often have sale items. I definitely recommend stopping in if you have some extra cash to spend and are looking for quality workout clothes. read more

I've been to this storefront once for an earmuff-style headband and the staff was very friendly. The rest I have ordered online with delivery often in 2 days of order. Lulu has designs you won't find anywhere with consistent turnover. The beauty of lulu clothing is the bright colors that motivate me - even on gloomy days - to go out and do something active. I came last Friday to exchange a gifted mat for a different color and find something minty green and was astonished by the lack of professionalism in this store. No one bothered to ask me anything, which is fine. BUT, when I did have a question and finally found somebody to ask, she barely answered my question before becoming enamored with a friend's/other customer's dog. Not cool, lululemon. Not cool. I used to love everything about lululemon, but lately I haven't really liked what they have been coming out with. I have gone to every lululemon store in San Diego and this one is by far my favorite. I like how it is not in a mall, I hate malls. The staff here is always helpful and friendly. I usually tell them the different styles I like and they will walk me around the store and help me pick out similar items. Now back to how I feel about the actual clothes, maybe one of the employees that works here will read this and pass it it on to the higher ups. As a man, I am only talking about their men's line, I can't speak for the women's clothing. I love their sweat pants but I don't know why they don't come out with more colors. All they ever have is black, heather gray, and the dusty blue color. I am dying for some light gray sweatpants. If you came out with some light gray anti gravity sweatpants they would sell out, I guarantee it. I also don't like all the crazy colors of the shorts. No, I do not want red stripped gym shorts. Last season they had better gear I think. I am looking forward to what they come out with during the summer, hopefully they will go back to the basics. read more

You will never find work out gear with a better quality than at Lululemon. My very first pair of pants that I ever bought from Lululemon are still in one (out of three) of my dresser drawers (dedicated entirely to Lululemon) and in good condition - these were from 5 YEARS AGO and worn constantly!!! Yes, Lululemon is expensive. But you will wear the clothes FOREVER. Go ahead and buy a pair of cheapy Target pants that you get to wear 5 times or invest in Lululemon that lasts wear after wear after wear. If you do the math, you're actually saving money on a pair of $90 Lululemon pants. But, BEWARE of the addiction you'll get to this store. Every couple of weeks new colors and styles come out - you'll become a slave. Always wanting the new color in the same style you have 20 of, or always wanting the new style in a color that you have multiple pieces in. Tip: Lululemon fit runs small! Don't be discouraged because of the number on your tag. The very tiniest size they carry is a 2, where in most stores it's a 0. If it's bothering you that you're a "size 8" when you're really a "size 4 or 6," forget about it! There is no evidence. The tags are meant to be ripped out! read more

Lululemon Rocks!!! I started doing Pilates early in the year. And I need new yoga pants. So I went to Lululemon to try their selection of pants. Let me tell you, once you try a pair of their reverse groove pants; you'll be hooked. Not only does it make your bottom look booty-licious, it is comfy too. Thier pants are so great, they don't chaft, nor fade. They stay in place during even the toughest positions. I love how functional their pieces are, you can wear them all day. The only down side about Lululemon is the prices. It is on the pricey side, but you are investing in quality active wear that will last for years. If you are lucky you may find some great baragins in their sales rack. read more

I've never been so I came in here and I was shocked with all the selections, pricey (but I got a good amount on the gift certificate) but great quality clothes. I was able to struck up a conversation with a very friendly employee there, she was really nice and asked me about my posture. She noticed it immediately or maybe because I was in gym clothes and it's more noticeable, I don't know, but she talked about their classes. Super adorable clothes of all kinds to help give your practice some edge of style without looking like a frump a lump. Also hats off to them for featuring sports bras that are cup/band specific. My wife and I went in here on a Sunday an hour before closing, a sales associate spent some time with my wife explaining the sizing that Lululemon follows and the various types of fits their different pieces have. They are pricey, but are worth the money spent. The one reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is because when we were checking out I asked about military discount. They said that they only give the military discount to the person who is going to be wearing the clothes (if they are active duty military), she launched into some superfluous reasoning...all I heard was "we like the military, but not enough to give a military family a discount". Maybe that was me being simple, because my wife (so in love with Lululemon to begin with it wouldn't matter what they told us) seemed to understand their reasoning....I however, did not. read more

This review is solely for the yoga class. I haven't bought anything from this store yet since I usually take my furry friend to UTC instead. Lululemon on Girard has the sunday yoga thing down. I have no idea why other stores have decided to only sponsor one yoga class every month, but that is a lot of effort for me to track which days they have a class. When lulu has one every Sunday, it's very easy for me to schedule it into my week. The space is plenty for this class. The open floorplan ensures you will be able to see the teacher if you need to. However, most classes rely on solely spoken word than demonstrations. I think there's even a restroom at this location, not something I'm used to. It gets pretty crowded, but you should be able to find a spot if you arrive right when class begins. Parking is usually easy this early in the morning unless there's another event going on. read more

This is why shopping at Nordstroms is great, the customer service is always their number one priority unlike this La Jolla LuLu Lemon location. Coming to my 1st experience there, this makes sense. I kept ringing and ringing their phone trying to find their location as I was eagerly trying to find this location and no one answered the phone. Once I arrived, I then found out they don't answer the phones so they can provide better customer service, but the funny part is, it was near closing time and the place was near empty, they just take advantage of this policy so don't bother trying to call in either, you'll need to actually go there to be insulted after purchasing $500 in athletic wear. The problem I faced was that all LuLu Lemon Men's tops are not fitted the same, ironically the color determines the actual fit of the top, who would have guessed? So after washing my LuLu Tops as I do with after purchasing any clothing from a rack, I find out that some fit and some dont, but if you wash your new LuLu Lemon clothing it then voids your return policy and you're stuck with high priced car rags. Not to cool LuLu Lemon! This is really an unfortunate situation for me because I like there clothing, but have been completely turned off because of their poor customer service one time after another and their size irregularities for men tops. I can get a nice $60 t-shirt just about anywhere LuLu Lemon, Nordstroms will for sure appreciate the business I'm sure of this. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. This honestly will be the last time I buy from lululemon. I am continually disappointed in not just their customer service but also their quality of product! I just purchased the white camo outfit online, mind you i know white is hard to keep clean, but their sales representatives really allowed for this to be sold to me! I can understand a small spot (MAYBE) but this is unacceptable! Mind you, I drove 20+ minutes for this so I expected it to be in perfect condition, especially with the cost and name brand, but the sports bra looked used! Or like some girl who was lathered in self tanner tried it on and now one cared that it was all brown on the inside. I wish I could post pictures! If I figure out how, I will. I called the store and they are not empathetic or apologetic at all. Lulu clearly doesn't care about their valuable customers. I'm going to continue to support other brands who are just as good like balance athletica.... at least their stuff isn't used and they care about their customers. This a pretty clean and VERY organized shop. They offer a variety of stylish, modern workout clothes, mainly aimed towards yoga and running. It's on the pricey side but, it looks to be of high quality and comfort. However, I have never purchased anything from this store and can't really know for sure how well the products are made, or if they are worth the price. They are definitely cute though. I go for the free yoga classes on Saturday mornings. What a great community offering that is! All the yoga teachers I've experienced here are very talented and each one very different. It certainly keeps you on your toes. On Tuesday evenings, Lululemon also offers a free class. It changes from week to week. And, during the month of September they are offering free classes everyday, at various locations. For the Saturday morning class alone is enough reason to love this store. Everyone I've met that works at this location is very upbeat, bouncy, smiley, cheerful and happy. I may not feel that way when i get there, nor when I leave but, it sure is nice that they are nice. ;-) read more

Yes it is a little pricey but if I want to get something that fits right, have good customer service, and support a good company I would expect so. I LOVE lululemon (if you can't tell by my other reviews). This location is pretty big and they have a large selection. I love all their clothes and styles. Great location right in the center of La Jolla. The only reason they missed is star is the service - I had my hands full while shopping and the sales associates where asking just about everyone else in there if they needed help. Took them about 10 minutes and 4 laps around the store to have someone offer to help. But, once they did ask, they were great with getting me other sizes and such. read more

Love Love Love! I loved everything about my experience here. Starting with the clothes which is not only super cute but it fits really well. They have plenty of different styles and colors. Everything is preshrunk which means you don't have to worry about ill fitting workout clothes after a few washes. The staff was 5 stars! Very helpful but not pushy. They do a stretch test with their bottoms to make sure you've grabbed the right size. They even offer complimentary hemming if you need it. This place reminds me of a high end denim boutique in SF or NYC where they help you find just what your looking for. It was a little warm in the fitting room while I was trying my stuff on and the girl even offered to turn up the AC:-) very nice! I will definitely be back although I'll have to spread my visits because it's not cheap clothes. That's ok though because I can just keep building with time:-) My husband came along to see what the hype was about this store and walked out with 2 shirts himself and loved the store too! read more
