HeatTech stuff is amazing during winter to layer, and their summer Airism is great with breathable, thin fabrics for the summer. Now I also love their printed T-shirts. The site indicates that pickup will be ready in 2 hours but I was sent a confirmation email when the order was ready which was less than an hour from order. At the store, an employee came over to ask me if I needed help and I let her know that I was picking up an order. They had my order ready and bagged at cash. Remember to either bring your ID or your confirmation email so they can prove your identity for pickup.

There's a staff member at the entrance that takes your temperature and there's a bottle of hand sanitizer there as well. I wasn't sure if the fitting rooms would be open. I was told that they are with a limit of 6 items allowed to be taken in. There's physical distancing tape on the floor by the fitting room as well as the cash registers. Also, each employee has plexiglass separating them from each other as well as the customer. By the cash registers there's a large bin where you can drop off gently worn clothing to be donated through local shelters across Canada. Donated Uniqlo down items that can't be worn again are recycled into new products.

It's a loft-like space with lots of natural light and really well decorated. One thing that set it apart immediately, is it doesn't have that thrift store smell. They're true to their word that they're only selecting good quality items. Sure, some of the items are perhaps a bit plain, but you don't have to take too long to find a few things you'll like. It's certainly not the case of searching for a diamond in the rough. I imagine woman will like the place even more since about 80% of the floor space is for them. There were several shoppers there and they seemed to have no issue picking out great stuff too. Also, prices are GREAT! Anyone who's 'vintage' shopped in places like Kensington Market will know that things can still have relatively higher prices. My items were incredibly inexpensive, including a Banana Republic shirt which showed virtually no signs of wear for $10. I found out at the counter that this is actually a franchise as part of a fairly large chain (which I hadn't previously heard of). Regardless, they're a very unique and welcome edition to the city.

Thus, I decided I'd make a heroic sacrifice for my fellow yelpers and go in and check it out. The owner Victoria was lovely and happy to chat with me and her store itself is well laid out with a pleasant atmosphere. There was a wide range of attractive clothing for sizes 14+ as well as jewelry and other accessories. I should note here that she's not currently stocking shoes but has pretty much everything else you need to kit yourself out. Also, while I was there I saw at least one happy customer make a number of fine purchases. Hopefully someone who has actually bought something here will come along and give their more experienced review however I was pretty impressed with Gussied Up - if you are a fuller figured lady I recommend coming in and checking it out!

Their mitts despite backlash on price, are sold out and so are certain product colours, sizes. I visited this location to check out the Team Canada goods and pick up a Future Legacy Crossbody bag to support. According to Global News, 10% of sales of these unisex bags would go towards Team Canada, and it's the sole fundraising item. Personally, I'm more a fan of the bags and accessories than the outfits. The staff there are super helpful. All volunteered to look and help me pick colours and particular styles. The bag is water-resistant and fits my key pouch, small wallet, stick battery pack and lipstick. I like the outside slot to hold my phone for easy access and the option to wear as a belt bag. $38 is reasonable for this functional, quality, collectible. The branding is subtle, so it's great for when you want something more casual and not too showy. Only available in Canada and I also heard our Team Canada stuff is super popular in China. I was not too fond of the grey colour bag at first on their website, but it's almost light blue in person and quickly became my fav. I also picked up a red Team Canada cap and a black runners cap too. While you're there, they have Mirror on display, the interactive workout with a mirrored screen. Quite cool!
