Nice upscale shopping experience. The store redesign is elegant and classy. The prices have gone up but their quality is still top notch. There were no store clerks around to greet us at the entrance. The self serve checkout section is new to this store format in Canada. Most likely to reduce the high cost of labour. The sale section is pretty good and they have switched over to discount % instead of pricing each item. Very smart and efficient method of tagging the products. Their sale usually starts in July and ends on early August. read more

Have to agree with the other reviews... I do not go to Zara anymore because it's super fast fashion and way over priced for the quality you get. The store is always super disorganized and there's not really the most understandable cadence to their "categories". It just seems to be clothing everywhere. The salespeople don't seem super happy to work there and honestly, they're not the most approachable at times. Especially during sale season when it's insane in the store. read more

Worst customer service ever!! I was trying to exchange a brand new shirt with tags with a larger size. They did not do even let me do that without the receipt. This is ridiculous. The store manager did not want to do anything about it and gave me customer care number. Which is no Good. Shame on Zara canada. Every time I go to a Zara I think back on the experience I had at the one on Queen St W. It was terribly messy with staff that were clearly done with working for the day and didn't care about customers. This one was neater and the staff weren't as rude. read more

Can I just say that I love that there's a Zara so close to home? It's been open for about a year and it has saved me a few times when I was having a closet emergency! This one is not nearly as busy or messy as the Eaton Centre and Yorkdale locations. This location has women's wear and menswear, but not the childrens line. The fitting rooms are nice and spacious, and have mirrors and stools inside. If the line up at the women's side gets long, try the men's side - it's usually empty! I like that they don't follow me around and smother me with customer service here - they let me shop in peace! If I need something it's not too hard to track down a sale associate since they all wear black (look for the young girls NOT carrying a purse!) The stuff rotates fast so something that you see one week may not be there the next - or even better it might be on sale! Some items are a little too fashion forward for my conservative wardrobe - but there is something to suit all tastes here. The shoe selection in this store is awesome, and they have a nice section at the back of the store with trendy "street-style" fashions. I like that I can come in pretty much any time of year and they will have wardrobe essentials like t-shirts and sweaters. Zara's return/exchange policy is very good as far as I'm concerned. If you buy something at full price you have 30 days for a full refund or exchange. I once went over the 30 days by a couple of days and was still able to return something at this store - so the fact that that they were flexible and nice to me means that I'll shop here more. Anything that is discounted is final sale - absolutely no refunds or exchanges. They are very firm about this and I understand why - something that has been marked down from $50 to $10 has obviously been in the store for a while and they want to clear it out for new merchandise. If someone comes back 30 days later to refund an item that was part of the winter collection and it's now late Spring, who would re-purchase it? In my experiences shopping here, the cashier always reminds me if something is final sale, just in case I have a last minute change of heart. One weird thing I've noticed here is that they don't do discounts on damaged items. I chatted with one of the sales girls about this once and she told me that it's a corporate policy - they would rather not sell it than "cheapen" the coporate brand by offering random discounts here and there. I figures most stores would prefer to just sell it and get rid of it, but oh well. It's almost time for Fall/Winter stuff - my favourite time of year to go shopping, and I'm sure I'll end up up spending a good chunk of my paycheck at Zara. read more

Zara - Women's Clothing Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

I am never visiting this Zara, or any Zara again. The problems began when I approached the cash register: the cashier told me there were no tags on the jeans that I wanted to purchase, and that the staff would look for another pair in the same size. Eventually, I was told that there were no jeans in the store of the same style and size, and therefore, I could not purchase the jeans. I asked how it could be that with money, the product, and the desire to purchase, that I was being refused the opportunity to purchase the product. The cashier simply repeated that the jeans could not be sold with no tags. I could not understand why a product code could not be searched, or another pair in the same style but different size could not be used to register the sale. The cashier brushed me off with a cursory apology and did not offer any alternatives. There was no attempt to suggest a different product, or an offer to bring the manager into the situation. The cashier clearly wanted to get rid of the "problem." Apparently at Zara, they call paying customers "problems." I left the store feeling unappreciated, unsatisfied, and jean-less (I wanted to buy those jeans!) There is absolutely no excuse for my treatment. It's unfortunate that this was my first ever (and now, likely the last) visit to Zara. read more

As a present my boyfriend received an outfit bought here from his brother. They weren't his style so we came with the gift receipt to get something else. Apparently there's no store credit so we had to choose something else in the store for exactly the same price. Exactly. The two items he picked out were less than the gift receipt so the cashier wouldn't allow the exchange. We couldn't go over either, even if we were willing to pay the difference. It's a really weird policy. For anyone who plans on gifting a friend something from zara I would suggest they close another brand. Also, why is the female side so messy? And the male side neat? Is obvious the female side gets shopped harder so more staff needs to be there to fold. It looks so bad for a zara. read more

Same experience as others. Bought a suit several years ago and wanted to return as I wasnt too fond of the style. Suit was in good condition not even hemmed, brand new unused. The manager refused to take it back even with receipts because he said it looked used. WTF!! Had all the tags and everything looked fine. The manager was a young blonde dude and when I asked to speak to his manager he said he was the only one and walked away. Went to Markville and was able to return without any problems. Obviously Zara doesn't care about the customers which is why their storea managers don't give a rat. Maybe they get paid more for refusing exchanges or refunds... I don't know but from that experience I have completely boycotted Zara. Worst retail shopping experience I've experienced. read more

I love Zara, and having worked retail, I can appreciate how crazy and hectic a sale can be. I always give credit to those who can smile through it all. But it isn't here or now. So far, everyone here, most especially the girl working in the fitting rooms, is miserable. Not ONCE did any of the salespeople (from the scattered FEW standing in the store, to the fitting room, to the register) make ANY eye contact, smile or make any general comment that seems welcome or inviting. I feel like ALL of them should be reminded how fortunate they are to have a job, difficult as it can be. The name of the game is still customer service. read more

I love the fashion sense of Zara - from the basics to the elegant to the funky. Everything is here and you can always find something to buy. I love love love their necklaces...the bigger the better I say! The only thing I do not like about them is that there pricing seems to be all over the place...a dress for $59...but then a simple top for $49. It doesn't make sense to me out all. I absolutely love their sales b/c it's an actual sale...not like just $10 off the regular price and they have racks and racks of sale items at the end of summer (hint - run run to the nearest Zara - a great sale going on now!). Plus this is one of the few stores that you can actually return a sale item! I hate fitting rooms and usually just buy the item and try it on at my own home so this is perfect for me. You can look amazing with little effort here. The only reason I give it 3 stars (4 stars for the clothes) is that I find the cashing out tends to be pretty slow..and it's difficult to find some one on the floor at times. read more

I used to LOVE Zara....BUT if anyone has gone in recently the customer service there has gone downhill. They just had a huge sale so the place is a mess but that is not the worst part, the sales associates pay more attention to the daily gossip (everyone in line for the fitting rooms hear) than their customers. They also started to treat customers like every one is going to steal something..before you they even ask you how many items you have they get you to tap your bag/purse on their sensor....I get the large shopping bags, but my mini-clutch?? Then they say you cannot enter with a drink...I feel like i'm entering a prison or something, they wont let me put my Starbucks on the ground while trying things on? Anyways just noticed that every customer in line got the same "Tap you bag" without even a smile, as if we were a bother to them to go to the fitting rooms. They NEED TO DO SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING. If the store is a mess the least I would expect is better customer service, what are they doing all day? read more

The staff were rude and uninterested. We asked a manager if a price adjustment was possible for an item I had just bought that had gone on sale soon after. He quickly said "no" and walked off. While purchasing an item, the cashier carried on a convo with her neighbour while processing our item very slowly. I know this location is always busy, but I do not think this kind of service is acceptable. read more

Zara's fashions are pretty nice, but my experience with their customer service today wasn't nice at all. My son gave me a Zara sweater which he bought on sale at Zara's Fairview Mall on Boxing Day. It was one size too large so silly me, I took it back to the Fairview Store to exchange for a size smaller, same sweater. Silly me 'cos I thought it was a pretty reasonable expectation, not a refund, not a exchange for a different item, just a simple size change ( they had lots). But no, it's Zara's policy , no exchange of any kind on sale items. I pleaded, it's just a size change but no sympathy fro the store manager. He gave me the Montreal Home office number to call which I did, and a young lady called Myriam reminded me that the item was on sale,no exhange. But Myriam,It's just a size change and it's X'mas ? Sorry, Zaras' very strict on policy she said. Well, never mind the common sense aspect, from a business aspect, I certainly won't be shopping at Zara's again . read more

I used to love Zara but now I don't recommend to anyone. The customer service is awful. They forgot to give me my receipt and when I went back home and noticed, I gave a call but no reply. kept calling customer service but still no response. I only need to exchange the clothes which I loved to buy but size is not good. How come all the stores in Canada exchange or even return with store credit without receipt, but not Zara??? I expect some respect as a frequent customer. It is so unfair. What does exactly your customer service do? not caring about people's problem?? read more
