This is actually one of my preferred go to Lululemon stores in the area. It isn't as large as the other ones, but I'm usually always able to still find a trending item. In addition it isn't as busy, so I've never had to wait in a long line like other locations. I went in today and was greeted, the young man that assisted me was very helpful in bringing me up to speed on what is trending (looking for a gift for my college aged nephew). In addition the few times I have done online pickup and never any issues. This store is on the second level of Northbrook court, but it's good to be aware that it appears that a few of the escalators are broken. Make sure that you remember which escalator section that brought you upstairs, as it's the only one that can help bring you back down! read more

I love the brand obviously but there was a younger girl on staff who was so rude to me when she saw me again within the same week. I was making a return, and she gave me dirty looks. I'm a figure skating coach and she asked me if I knew someone she knew as well. When I said her name sounded familiar, she immediately had an attitude because I ended up not knowing her. I now feel uncomfortable coming in now since she was so rude both times. I do like the other staff as well. Overall, not too happy about what happened. read more

I am very disappointed in Lululemon for a number of reasons. First I wrote to customer service with my concern and received a tone deaf response that did not address the question and instead advertised product to purchase. Either their AI chat bots or their humans have reading comprehension probelms. Their merchandising is discriminatory. They are thoughtless in shelf staking. They shoove so many items into a bin the pants come out like wrinkled like crumpled wads of paper. Who wants to pay over $100 for pants that look trashed? All size 12 and 14 are in the bottom bins so customers must sit on the floor to access product. It's the dumbest merchandising design ever developed and is a thinnly veiled discriminatory set up. The staff don't know how to treat product. One told me the crumpled pants could not go in the dryer nor could they be ironed. The product tags give no instructions about ironing or dryer use. Another employee said they could be put in the dryer and ironed. This company is ridiculous. There are other great options/brands out there to choose from and I will shop those brands instead of supporting this chaotic, poorly designed, discriminatory, and tone deaf brand. read more

I purchased a pair a lulu mens pants on line on 12/9/21. It's now 12/26/21and no pants. Order was submitted and confirmed. After waiting patiently I called. When I called customer service, they told me The pants were shipped. But shipper had no record of receiving them. On top Of that lululemon asked me to review the pants. Haha I have been a customer for years, and service in line and in store has really slipped. I guess success builds hubris. To bad. They were a great company. Terrible experience shopping with my daughter today due to the interaction with an employee at check out. She could not have been more bubbly and talkative to prior customers, but once we began our check out process she changed. She was not rude. She did not say or do anything offensive. I am certain everyone has experienced a situation where you felt ignored, dismissed or just not wanted for some reason. Those were the feelings I felt, but did not say anything since my daughter was with me. However, once we left the store and sat in the car my daughter began to cry and expressed the exact same emotions I was feeling. She could not understand why she felt so hurt. She used her birthday money to purchase clothes she always wanted but now refuses to wear them due to this experience. As a parent it is hard to explain to your young children why people treat people differently, if they are not like them , but this the world we live in. Hope management figures this out of their employees. They have lost my families business forever. read more

Horrible customer service. Bought my tween daughter a coveted belt bag for Christmas online with store pickup. The elastic on one of the loops started to unravel. The bag was pristine otherwise - not a stain or a scratch. Went with my daughter to exchange for another based on their quality guarantee. It was the same store I picked it up from. The salesperson repeatedly mentioned that my daughter was probably carry items that were too heavy for the bag. If you know the bag, you know that would not impact the elastic loop. My daughter stores her epipens, a little emergency meds ziplock baggie and her phone in it. I explained this several times. The sales person also couldn't find my original order even though I showed her the email with the order confirmation (but she refused to try to look it up by the order number. Got a snarky - I can't find you in the system but I guess you showed me an email, so... I sent my daughter to the back of the store to look for something and then told the salesperson how inappropriate it was for her to continuously blame my daughter for misusing the bag when this was an obvious quality defect. Only then did she process the exchange and issued a half-ass apology. I guess it is only a quality guarantee for the people they want to give it to. I contacted corporate and worked with their care team to share feedback. read more

This store has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There were plenty of staff when I went today and not one person offered to help me. When I asked where the shorts were, the staff member was so bothered and answered in a rude tone. Unlike other lulu lemon stores, the store manager refused to return a jacket that was ordered online and received yesterday -tags on original packaging and never worn. Most stores return to the fop on the order. not this lulu lemon! my husband had his cc that is on the same joint account, but not mine. even though i sent manager photos of the card that was used and photos of his card she refused to help us. OLD ORCHARD always returns the item to the FOP. I only am returning this because LULU changed the style of this Break A Trail jacket, unfortunately. I will not patronize this store again. All I wear is Lulu! I live in this brand & being a trainer work out gear is pretty much my whole closet. Lulu is one of my favorite brands... however this location sucks. I always make the drive to the Deer Park location or the city just because shopping at this location is honestly no fun (& Northbrook is only a few min away from my home). I love just about everything about this brand. Great quality; not see through despite my thunder thighs and big booty. Yes, a little pricey but its an investment. I almost always try to find the best in people and hate to give negative reviews(also partially because I have been a retail employee)...however, this location deserves it. I was "greeted" by an associate that was glued to her phone with her Starbucks in the other and wearing a top that covered the little tag/fanny pack that indicated she worked there. When she did look up, we awkwardly met eyes but I received no "welcome", "Let me know if I can help you with anything". I don't usually like when overly zealous retail associates that follow me around the store but I do appreciate being acknowledged. I found what I was looking for but I was done at this point. I didn't want to have to interact with another rude employee so I left empty handed. I love lulu clothing and used to shop here for my family until I learned about 2 company policies which I really disagree with. The Northbrook store refuses to hold anything. I saw a jacket in the Evanston store that was on sale but they did not have my size. I ran into Northbrook quickly on Thursday and saw that they had 3 jackets in my size. I was on my way to an appointment so I asked the sales associate to hold it for me for an hour. She acted like it was a huge deal and stated that they don't hold. I asked her to speak to a manager, she said she was one! Her name was Emma and her customer service skills were terrible. I was so angry that I called the "customer education" number and spoke to someone called Bridgette. Bridgette informed me that no stores hold for a customer and she is not "above" the store so she could not make her do so. She was missing the point, I was trying to voice my dissatisfaction for a policy which I did not like. Furthermore the jacket was on sale in Evanston and not in Northbrook. Bridgette also explained that each store has their own discretion with markdowns. So, you can pay full price at one location and 10 miles down the road, find the same item on sale. This does not seem to be a very customer service friendly store nor did I feel that bridgette gave a rip about customers opinion or feedback. While I love the clothing, I vote with my wallet and will be shopping elsewhere. read more

I love Lululemon (even though I can't usually afford their clothes) - they really do make the best (and most flattering) things for yoga (and other sports too). That said, this location is SO TINY!! The selection is so poor. I even overheard one of the sales associates explaining that they run out of colors so quickly that they usually only have black in stock (since all of the other colors change with the season). Not bad for those emergency yoga purchases (not sure what constitutes an emergency, but you never know) but if you want a bigger selection, head to Evanston or Lincoln Park. read more

I find the reviews on here quite entertaining. I have been a regular customers here for years, and they have way more personality than most other stores i've been in. I've gone to plenty of other Lululemon stores where I've never even been acknowledged. I also worked in retail for a few years so I understand how it works. Some fun facts for customers: #1. if you want help with something like an exchange make sure you have a receipt, the tags on the clothes, the card it was purchased on, or the account it was purchased through. You can not get upset when you bring something back and want your money back when there isn't any proof of purchase. I've had plenty of people try to bring back clothes from other stores and get money back ( Macy's). #2. You're an adult and this isn't the Real Housewives of Chicago. If you go in acting like a toddler having a tantrum chances are you're not going to like the outcome. I've witnessed people going into this exact store yelling at the employees at what they need to do and the employees calmly handled it. If it would have been me you would have been told exactly what I was thinking. As far as the store goes it is always put together nicely and they have a large selection of items compared to other stores. Especially for men, some stores have a rack of guys stuff and that's it which makes shopping difficult. I find that they get newer stuff before other stores and a much wider range of colors. The staff there is very friendly. I'm always greeted when I walk in, i'm asked if I need help by multiple employees, they have their fitting area organized and if there is a line they make sure to make a list of whose waiting in order and make sure to get everyone in there. I've seen them go out of their way to make sure the customer has the perfect size and even ways to accessorize and outfit or what goes good with a pair of leggings or short. I also like that if something doesn't look good on you they'll tell you and offer a better option. Definitely will keep going here. read more

First of all, I went to buy several gifts for my daughters who like their clothes. I walked the entire mall, both floors, asked at least 6 people but couldn't find a sign saying Lululemon, and nobody knew where in the mall it was. Giving up, and heading to Neimans, I saw a store with a squiggle mark on the window. Vaguely recalling a bag with the squiggle that my daughter had, I went in and asked the young man greeter if this was lululemon. After affirming it was, I commented on the lack of signage. He agreed, I shopped. After buying several hundred dollars worth of clothing, I asked the cashier about the lack of a name on the store. I kid you not...her smart ass answer was, WE ARE A HIP AND COOL STORE AND WE DONT NEED TO PUT A SIGN ON OUR WINDOW. Beside being so incredibly rude and condescending, it was shocking. I responded congratulating a store that doesn't care if you can find it or not, and just wants cool and hip people shopping there. They have no need to expand their market. True, I personally don't like their clothes nor were they meant for me, but I certainly DID have reasons to shop there. I buy lots of gifts. But since I didn't recognize their sqiggle, so am definitely not their idea of cool and hip, I will shop elsewhere. read more

This applies to the Northbrook Court location only. Absolutely terrible management. The extremely rude manager at this location is the sole reason I will only shop online or at other locations going forward. I love lulu. I have probably 10+ pairs of the pants, a few pairs of shorts, and tons of tanks/sports bras and hoodies that I've bought over the years. My husband has a few pairs of pants he loves too. This is not a brand issue - this is a store specific issue. I recently moved to the north shore from downtown (used to shop at the 900 N Mich location). In the 2 instances in 3-4 years where I've had an issue with a lululemon item (on one pair of pants the threading came loose and they had it repaired for me, and on tank which faded to a weird color despite my following the care instructions they gave me a replacement) the downtown location was awesome with customer service. NOT THE CASE HERE! I went in with a pair of gray yoga pants that were my normal size (original price $108). I had owned them for under a year, during which time my weight had not changed. They had stretched out so much that they were becoming see through. I had always washed them on cold and delicate, ONLY with other workout clothes of the same material. The store manager told me it was "normal wear and tear" and that he was unwilling to do anything about it. He told me that in order for them to not stretch, I needed a bigger size, which made no sense because the issue was they had stretched too much adn were see through. Dude - I do yoga and barre classes. The whole point is they need to be able to stretch. I've never had this issue with any other pants from there. Long story short, after 10 minutes of back and forth with this jerk, I walked out. I told him the store would lose me as a customer and he was like "ok well that's your decision." emailed corporate and they are sending me a gift card. Of course, the brand is not the issue. This guy needs to be fired or at least re-trained on how to interact with customers. read more

I will never walk into that store again. In the span of three days four different employees gave me different answers to my problem. The Lululemon logo on my $68 purse fell off. Not only would they not replace it or fix it, the manager, Corey, kicked me out of the store. Twice. I was trying to explain to her what the other employees had told me on my voice mail- that it couldn't be fixed so they'd replace it. She became extremely angry and told me that's not the policy and when I asked to speak to her supervisor she asked me to leave the store immediately. When I asked her her last name she kicked me out again! Even though she said she was the store manager, Corey said her last name was her private information and she didn't have to tell me or anyone else. I had come back to pick up my new replaced purse. I was extremely embarrassed to be kicked out of the store. No one has ever spoken to me that way. I immediately called Lululemon customer service - the 800 number - and they couldn't help me fast enough. They sent me a new purse iand apologized for Corey's behavior. read more

Lululemon used to stand behind their products. In the past, you could walk into a Lululemon store if your seams began to fray, and they would fix it for you. I was immediately dismissed by the person working at the front desk when I asked if I could have the seams on my pants reinforced. She advised that they no longer fix ripped seams, and would only hem if something was too long. She didn't ask when I purchased the products, and was overall dismissive when I asked if Lululemon still stood behind the quality of their products. Needless to say, although it's a more convenient location for me, I will not be returning. Why pay a premium for poor quality and poor service. read more

I am disgusted by the horrible salespeople at the Lululemon in Northbrook Court. I went there to exchange the Mother's Day present my husband got me. I'm pregnant with twins, so I'm not small and the poor guy bought my non-maternity size. I went in there today to see about exchanging them and was disappointed by the snobby, ridiculous people. #1, The Greeter: He took away my exchange merchandise and made me feel like a criminal, like I was going to stuff the bag full of hot merchandise and make out like a bandit. It was awesome. Oh, but he was completely disinterested in helping me find the new size of pants. I've never shopped this brand before, so I don't automatically know what I'm looking for, so I really needed the exchange to match to the new pants. Too bad for me! #2 The Pants Guy: He was literally referred to as "the pants guy" and he was in the pants area, yet he was also disinterested in helping me find pants. I needed someone to help me locate the correct size and style of my return, but he just pointed at a few messy piles and basically said, "have at it yourself". Um, okay, then what are you here for? Maybe these stupid pants wouldn't be so overpriced if they trimmed some dead weight in the sales department, if you know what I mean. #3 The Worst aka The Dressing Room Lady: She scolded me for not having my exchange with me. SEE NUMERO UNO. She also scolded me for taking an open dressing room without being invited (it was open and she was no where to be found, so I went in, but there I go being a criminal again!) All I wanted was a pair of black track pants in size 8, but since I couldn't find them and no one seemed to give a damn, I just returned my gift altogether and left. I'll never be back, nor will I ever buy a pair of these overhyped trash bag pants ever again. On the upside, I guess they're progressive in their profiling of criminals because I'm a lily white north shore blonde. Two stars for that! read more

Seems I'm not the first, and probably not the last, to reiterate that the store manager, Lauren, at this particular location is rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. I was told by another store over the phone they still provide complimentary repairs. Made the mistake of bringing the pants to this store and was turned away by Lauren even after explaining what I was just that very day told this by another associate at another store. After leaving I called the original store I had spoken to who again said they provide complimentary repairs. Called the northbrook store back and told her its poor policy not to honor what customers are being told at other stores. Only after my suggestion did she say she was "willing" to accept the pants for repair but said she'd have to discuss it w their taylor and would have to have a talk with the other store. There was no way I was willing to drive back and try to work w her again. I will never step foot into that location again... btw she never even asked how old the pants were and I am otherwise a huge supporter and wearer (on a daily basis) of Lulu! read more

Although I love Lululemon workout clothes, I had a HORRIBLE experience with the customer service at the Northbrook location and will never return. I bought a pair of their Astro pants and was told at the time that the smallest size that are made in that style is a size 4. I bought the size 4 even though I normally wear a size 2 in their pants. A few days later, I was in another store and saw that the Astro pants actually came in a size 2. I had already hemmed my size 4 pants but brought them back to explain that I had been misinformed about my purchase. I talked to Lisa, a sales associate, and Beth, the store manager. Lisa demanded that I put on the size 4 so she could see for herself how they fit. Although I thought the request was inappropriate, I put them on to avoid arguing with her. She then demanded I try the size 2 (they now had them in stock) and turn around so she could compare at all angles--- again, inappropriate. Beth was busy restocking clothes and did not even turn to look at me when I spoke to her. I did not want to cause a scene so I calmly asked for any sort of accommodation--- e.g. store credit, exchange, partial refund, etc. as I realized that my pants had already been hemmed. Not only did they not apologize for misinforming me, they did not offer any compensation and told me that perhaps another store would be willing to take my pants back and eat the costs. They also said that they cannot be expected to know the different size options for their inventory. I do not mind paying the high prices at Lululemon but I expect to be assisted by knowledgeable sales associates and to have reasonable customer service. I DO NOT recommend this location as the staff are rude and not knowledgeable about the inventory. I would recommend the Evanston or Lincoln Park locations instead. read more

Ugh. This is the only Lululemon within 20 miles of me, but I would rather go all the way to a Lulu downtown. The selection here is small, but my biggest problem with this place is how snobby it is. Yeah, it's the North Shore, but I honestly had to leave after trying on one piece of clothing. I couldn't stand how fake and annoying the associates were....and also how they wouldn't stop talking. Their clothing is really expensive for workout clothes, but some items are worth it. I love their scuba hoodie and wunder under leggings. Both are so comfortable and perfect for traveling. The scuba hoodie has the thumb holes which I like and a larger hood to keep my head warm. The brushed wunder unders are so soft inside and warm for the cold Chicago winters. I also have a regular pair of wunder unders which are comfortable too but not as warm as the brushed pair. They have free hemming which takes about a week. The rest of their clothes are cute, but I don't think it's worth the money. Most of their employees there are friendly. But the girls working the changing area aren't friendly at all unless you look like a snobby north shore girl (it happened every time I went to the store so it wasn't just a couple employees who behaved that way). Unfortunate since I'm spending practically $100 on a pair of leggings. read more

Not my favorite Lululemon. A lot of the employees seemed to know or was already helping other customers so I don't think we even got a hello. That said, I'm learning the stores do not have sale sections. You have to dig for those items. So when people are gathering and chatting, it can be a deterrent to ask them to move out of the way to look for things. read more

From condescending remarks to blatantly being ignored, it's as if the employees don't want you to shop there or return as a customer period. I interacted with several of the salespeople and they were all very knowledgeable about the merchandise and very helpful. None of them were snobby as has been mentioned in other reviews. I made a mistake and purchased a gift card for my wife from this store. While the staff is friendly and the brand is obviously very popular among those who can afford it, I do not recommend that you shop at any Lululemon Athletica store. Be sure to check the store's return policy. Gift cards are not returnable because of store policy. I was directed to their customer "Education Center" so that they could explain that this is their policy. I now have a diploma in why not to shop at Lululemon Athletica. My interpretation of their gift card program is that it is a trap for your money. You are much better off buying merchandise that can be returned later if necessary, or buying a gift card with the flexibility to use wherever you like. Most retailers understand that it is good policy to allow returns of their merchandise, no questions asked. It builds customer loyalty. I realize that most stores make a distinction between merchandise and gift cards. I now understand the risk associated with this type of purchase and my loyalty has been compromised. I understand the store's motivation for this policy, but it escapes me as to why gift cards should be treated any differently than any other purchase. I will now only shop at stores that have a reasonable return policy, including gift cards. I fell for it and now deeply regret shopping here. It won't happen again. read more

This review is for the actual storefront not for Lululemon in general. Relief; A storefront that is not "child friendly" but didnt feel totally awkward. I shell out $20-30 an hour for a babysitter to go to the gym (or sometimes just sit in the parking lot in my overpriced yoga gear because its quiet) and do not want to add another $50 just to go grab a pair of work out pants. This location is next to the "Gymboree" kids gym inside Northbrook Court. They may not intend to be child friendly but they really do not have a choice. I had never visited this location because I live closer to the Evanston store and usually have my toddler with me when in Northbrook Court. After spending way to much time at the play area he passed out in the stroller so I ventured in. The store is small and very busy on a late Wednesday morning. Two other shoppers had well behaved toddlers snacking on gold fish peeping out of the $65 tanks. I was greeted several times and always met with a smile. Of course, was not offered assistance or a dressing room. I get it. After all, how many $150 hoodies would I be buying when I refuse to pay my babysitter so I could go to the mall without my own gold fish totting toddler wearing his balaclava backwards because he doesnt want anyone to look at him. Then again, from that snooty description of him, maybe the staff knows their clientele and catered to him accordingly. read more

Northbrook Court employees have ALWAYS been a problem and a huge disservice to the brand. Rude. Oblivious. Arrogant. I've been wearing the brand for 8+ years, have a mini Lululemon store in my closet. It's expensive, but wears like iron if cared for properly. Having been to Lululemons all over the US & Canada, Northbrook Court location is the worst. Avoid it like the plague. read more
