We started with one salesman who needed to leave and then turned over to another, so since we were first online and had to wait because there were 6 people and only 2 salesmen. One salesman spent time with a young girl and sat with her for a while while we were handed boxes. The service was awful, and I noticed two people left because they had no assistance. We have purchased from here numerous times and would have left if I didn't have my cash points. We will no longer shop at this store. Service is now here--try it on and put the shoes you don't want nicely back in the box. Add but pay $$. You really need to bring your customer service back.

The cashier introduced me to the silicone spray which at first I thought was a gimmick but I think there is some real benefit to it as it coats. I think it also helps with the structure and shape thus integrity of the shoe. The machine has a camera inside so you can actually see that it is spraying. This is great for some types of shoes. There is no one really walking around the floor, so you basically have to move heaven and earth to track someone down. Also, there are not enough benches (correct term?) where you try on the shoes. There is one per aisle, at most, and that doesn't work so well when it's busy. Still an issue is the whisper-at-most of AC in this store. Plenty of stores maintain a pleasant temperature - I get it if they don't want the store too cold. But here, it was hot and muggy. I felt more sweaty here than outside! It was so gross, and I didn't think I'd run into that in an indoor location, but oh well. The prices were pretty good, with the exception of the shoes that were not eligible for promotions (that might've come from above, though, like Nike corporate or Addidas corporate, and not their fault at DSW). I saved 20% off an already reasonable price by signing up for their newsletter as a ~*~*VIP~*~. The 20% off being available through that method only should've been communicated better at the outset, but oh well. I saved 20% and got some cool gym shoes, so that's good at least.

I'm angry. Returned a pair of shoes, asked if they carried 1/2 size larger, was told no. I left the store, realized I left my my high end prescription sunglasses for driving on the counter. One may not have realized they were prescription and picked them up for the brand, regardless, this all happened in a matter of maybe 15 to 30 minutes. I know they have a lot going on but seriously, we are talking $500. plus No empathy, no concern, no care, took my number and sent me on my way. When I called later, I asked for a manager to check the "security" footage, I had the exact timing from my receipt. Again, some huffing and puffing a snide side comment "we don't usually check video for lost sunglasses" but Anthony assured me I would be contacted later that day, after a review of the "security" video. Nothing, tumbleweeds through the air waves. Now I intend to file a police report which will hopefully help identify what may have occurred. Ok, I feel a little better from venting but still angry.
