I recently had a bra fitting at Lulabelle and it was a wonderful experience. First, online appointment booking was a breeze. At the fitting, sales associate Beata was knowledgeable and helpful. I'm still masking because I'm high risk for COVID and I have a young infant at home. Beata offered to wear a mask too!!! I haven't had a proper bra fitting in years and had no idea what my bra size should be. Beata brought me a few options to try on and I got 3 that look amazing on me. Seriously, properly supported, I fit differently in clothing and it looks like I lost weight. The bras are a little pricey, but in my opinion worth it. Some bras have to be ordered in your size and color choice. You pay at the time of order and they call you when the bra is in. I voted Lulabelle for best lingerie store in Best of the South Shore 2024. I'll be back to pick up the bra I ordered - and get new styles when what I have wears out. read more

I had a great experience at the hanover location - i was in dire need of new bras. I really needed a fitting as it has been many years since i had one and have my sons wedding coming up. I didn't know where to get this done on the south shore when i happened to see the sign for lulabelle. I made an appointment online and when i arrived the owner made me feel so welcome and not embarrassed about the state of my current bra! and man she really knows her stuff. I want to preface this by saying Beata is wonderful, and she was the reason I stayed to make a purchase. I mixed up my appointment times by accident. I booked a 3:15 but I meant to book the 1:00. As most moms know - I have a teething infant so sleep is in short supply. It was a genuine error. I offered to come back at my appointment time, but Beata said they would be able to assist me. In the meantime someone without an appointment came in followed by the owner's daughter Liv. Liv asks Beata about the customers, makes a comment about how I'm here "very early" and takes the customer that walked in after me. When I approached Liv to ask about this, she lied and said she "didn't know I was here", more-or-less said there was nothing she could do and told me to "wait until my appointment time" - which was in 2 hours. I reiterate that she was currently assisting an unscheduled walk-in that she saw arrive after me. I would give this place 5 stars had I only encountered Beata. But the initial encounter with the owner's daughter was disheartening. I made a human error, however telling someone to wait 2 hours for an appointment (when you can clearly take walk-ins) is cruel. I had to arrange childcare for this , and I was just looking forward to getting a new bra for my postpartum body. I had planned to come back with my mother and daughter to replace their bras but that interaction left a bad taste. read more

They had lots of options and while they had everything for me, they said they can order line and have products shipped to you if you want more options. Lots of parking and not far from the highway. I was headed to my first overseas vacation in ages but had been ill just prior to my departure so had no time to get done what was needed & what was needed most was new bras ugh. I made an appointment at Lulabelle doubting it would be a success but wow was I surprised at just how fabulous this store is & in particular the lovely sales associate that helped me, Beata. Honestly I think Beata is a bra genius. I am 68 go between NYC & Boston & have been fitted many a time for bras, I am sure this is the first time someone fitted me correctly. I came out of the store with everything I needed, including 3 fabulous bras, one a wireless full coverage bra so comfie, wonderful underwear & even 2 nightgowns. Honestly I have never felt so good or comfortable in any bras before, even the one I got to wear under my fancy sleeveless dress. Possibly the rudest employee I have ever dealt with in retail. I ordered a bra in my size which did not fit when it arrived (weeks later), and I was given a gift certificate instead of a refund. The GC was not applied to another bra I bought that day that is so tight and uncomfortable, I cannot wear it. When I went back the clerk acted like I was to blame and was incredibly aggressive about it. Twice I was in the area and tried to go in as a walk-in and use my GC, and both times I was rudely told I could not be seen without an appointment (there was one other person in the store). The prevailing attitude there is what is convenient for the employee, not the customer. I will not be back and will spread the word. P.S. Their merchandise is way overpriced, and it's all available online in spite of what they say. read more

I am glad to hear that I might not be the only one that has NEVER worn a proper bra. I went from my training bra to fitting myself at a big box store. Then I finally really looked at myself in the mirror. After being home and surrendering to wireless bras during the pandemic I decided it was time to finally get a proper bra fitting. An influencer pointed me to Lulabelle. I worked with Beata and she instantly put me at ease. I was amazed by her super power of fitting with no measuring tape. Beata's time was dedicated to me, not even answering the phone. We tried numerous bras, she educated me on fit and wash and I left there a new person. I am a difficult size with a larger chest and a smaller band. I also fluctuate weight and change size frequently making it more difficult to find bras that fit well, last and make me feel good. I have been fitted in all the major stores but the best fit and nicest bras I have ever been put in have come from Donna and her team at Lulabelle. They are a dream. Worst and very expensive experience ever! The hype from Boston Globe article is so inaccurate. I went to the Hanover location and thought I !!was being properly fitted. The bras I liked had to be ordered from Europe--a few week's wait! When they finally arrived, they felt tight. I was told that was normal, and they would give! Never before nor ever after have I been told such bs!!! Absolutely save your time and money. They most definitely do not know how to fit! Obviously the bras I tried on ordered and PAID for were stretched from people trying on the display. inventory. I can wear NONE of my purchases because of discomfort! I have since gone elsewhere where I was properly fit. Not only that I was able to take most of my purchase with me; and what had to be ordered, arrived in days!!! read more

This store is incredible! My mom and I had Amanda help us. She was very knowledgeable about what would fit, and she estimated our sizes by looking at our back. I tried on a few sizes and she explained why she was having us try on each size. (One to see if it was the right size around our body, and the other to figure out cup size) It sounds like a long process, but the time that it took to find my size and pick the bras I liked was a total of about 20-30 minutes. We had an appointment right at 10 when they opened, and it was quiet for awhile. There were a few more ladies that came in as walk ins, and she handled all of the customers with ease and didn't get flustered like most people would when dealing with that many customers herself. She had another employee to assist her (I'm sorry, I can't remember her name). She was very nice and helpful, but I think she was training, which is fine-Amanda is a good teacher! It's so nice as a bigger busted woman to have so many options! They did have to order my size, but that was expected. They suggested to have the order shipped to the store so that we could try them on, and they can adjust each one so they fit perfectly. They do come into the dressing room after you try on each bra, but they do not make you feel uncomfortable, and it is a very lovely and dare I say FUN experience! The bras are on the more expensive side, but as someone who cannot find proper support, it's well worth the money! I'm a fan! The Bra Whisperer wins my votes! read more

Not a good experience. If you don't want underwire, high fashion bras that are very tight, you won't enjoy this place. They treated me badly and I drove from Boston to go here. They didn't want to offer something in a comfortable fit, in fact they implied something was wrong with me because I thought a bra several sizes smaller than I wanted was uncomfortable. They were rude. I would not recommend this place. I read the article in the Globe and so wanted to try this out. Not worth the trip. read more

Just go there! For the last three months my wife has been ordering online bras trying to find one that fits properly. After countless purchases and returns with Amazon and other online stores. I said let's go to a professional, and a professional is what Donna the owner is. My wife walked in and she took one look at her and said I can help you. The first bra she had my wife try on was an amazing fit it made her look totally different she looked like a different person it was like night and day she was so comfortable and fit her so well it made her look smaller and it was so comfortable on her. Donna continue to educate her and I about bras and the fit and how they're made and what they're supposed to do and how they designed to work. It was an education for me and my wife. Donna is a true professional and she knows her stuff. I told my wife we are not buying a bra anywhere else other than at Lulabelle. When you get a quality product at a reasonable price it's a win win for the consumer and the business. I have been talking about it for the last 3 hours. I think I'm excited just as much as my wife seeing her face and seeing wearing a comfortable bra, after all the problems we've had trying to find something on our own. Just go there and you will fall in love with the place. If there was a 10 stars I would give her 11. I'm sold I'm going there with my wife anytime and every time. Not a good experience for me. I am petite and need a 28 band which they don't carry. I was fit into bras that were much too large. I ended up going to Rigby & Peller in Boston. Much larger selection, extremely knowledgeable and they do free alterations. If you are a tough fit I don't recommend lulabelle but highly recommend Rigby & Peller (previously My Intimacy). read more

I also read the article about LulaBelle's store. I was so hoping to have a professional fitting that would accomplish all that the article mentioned. No back fat bulging around the bra, a good fit, comfortable and will give the appearance that you have lost weight. I asked for a natural color bra that I could wear every day and not be dying to rip it off as soon as I got home. Well after only 2 days of wearing it, I knew it wasn't the right size. It dug into my skin & left marks. When I called to share this information, I was immediately told that they do not take back bras and that I should give it several weeks. The only thing this bra accomplished was giving me the appearance of being slimmer. I returned to the store 2 more times to see if they could actually get me a bra that fit. No luck, they started getting me bras that were larger- (maybe that was what should have happened before.) So even after months now, this bra is the most expensive one I own and the least comfortable one. So save your $100+. I wish it could have been what I hoped for, but it was not. read more

I was urged to visit the pop up shop when trying on clothes at The Studio in Boston. I was convinced that I sorely needed an entirely different type of bra that would be a custom fit just for me. I was told that they would rush the new bras to me and they should arrive by 10-14 days (silly me, I bought four). It took over three weeks and prodding to receive them. During that interaction I was told, "After all you've waited this long before your fitting...what's the big deal?" Finally the four identical bras arrived and tried the one on. It was very uncomfortable and dug into me. Also, it's the first lined bra I've ever had that shows my nipples through various clothes. (When trying this on I expressed concern about this but was told that it wouldn't be a problem. Well it was!) When I sent a photo by email about the deep mark the wire was creating I was told to give it three weeks and it would mold correctly to my body. That would mean that I would need to wear all four bras three months before I would possibly be comfortable. One option given to me was to come back into the shop for a refitting. Well, I live several states away, so that wouldn't work! I returned all four and requested a full refund. (They refuse.) I don't see why I should pay for the one I briefly wore for half a day, since this was supposed to be a custom fit and after all, they require three weeks to see if it would work...crazy logic! These are very expensive bras at $120 each!! If they were such a special store and if they have expertise in fittings, why has this been so difficult? This whole experience has been nothing but depressing. read more

So I returned the bras that they had incorrectly given me the wrong size (they gave me 36 and I am 38). It was funny because when I returned the bras, I was asked if I was sure I put them on correctly. I laughed and looked at her funny as I am quite chunky right now and it is obvious to the naked eye of an untrained person that I am not a 36 unless some ribs were removed or I had lipo. I said it was not an issue of trying them on because when I went to fasten the hooks, they were two inches apart in the back! I was disappointed as they no longer had the Empreinte bras in Cassiopee style and Melody style in my size or color. I got two other bras I liked less which was annoying given I had spent $360 (after tax) on the original bras and Soak soap. I am not sure if I would bother going back. It might be worthwhile to get a fitting there and buy your bras online at Her Room (free shipping and cheaper priced, high-end European bra lines like Empreinte and Primadonna). read more
