So much so that I had to scrape some of it off at the end because it was just too sweet. The texture of the dough inside was still lovely, with yeasty, doughy air pockets. The donut itself was also very large so maybe better to share with a few others than try to eat one or more by yourself :) Didn't have much interaction with the staff though the man making the donuts and working the counter seemed cordial. They offer ice cream and coffee drinks on the menu too. This is a take away spot mostly, there's a bench along one wall you could sit at to eat there though it seats probably 4-5 people at most. They take cash and card.

The sugar donut man was nice and fluffy, large enough to share, and paired great with a latte. The curry chicken sandwich was just OK, nothing to write home about. Our party was sat at a table just by the doorway to allow room for our wheelchair. A patron on his way out tried to snatch my brother's sling bag by an "accidental" snag as he was passing by.

The hot chocolate felt like essentially a cup of melted chocolate - extremely rich and thick. The churros themselves were only lightly sweetened (with maybe a little salt?) so it went nicely with the chocolate. I also drank some of the chocolate by itself and it was very nice but I was not really able to finish the whole cup. Overall, don't do what I did when I came here and try to eat all three super super sweet mousse tartlets in one sitting, instead maybe take them home or hotel and enjoy with some sugar-free coffee. This patisserie has their presentation down. But it's for the sweet tooth not for the faint-tongued. Service are generally well. All the employees there seem to speak English so if you're not from Spain or can't speak the language, no worries. Last tip: try to come early as it tends to get busy during pastry craving hours. Rumor has it (source: google) this patisserie is owned by an award winning chief.

Price is 2.7 Euro so a bit on the pricey side since we walked to other parts of town and they were under 2 Euros and bigger too. I guess we pay for the convenience of this being near where we stay and also being in the Exiample area. They have good apple tarts and croissants too.
