Great food and great service, a bit hidden in the medical center but worth it!! Beats the Kennestone bistro by a mile.

It was a gorgeous day, sat on the outside patio near the fire pit. The band hadn't started yet but we stayed for some live music. Enjoyed the King Carnival and a Rum Runner to drink, Chicken Tostones, Firecracker Shrimp, Beef Empanadas and the Crab Dip for our food. That was plenty! Service is great - our server helped move tables, clean the surfaces, assist with the payment kiosk and got us to-go boxes. He was friendly and talked to us about the new pending store. We hope it's Yard House! Take care!

Unfortunately, the experience felt more like a farewell tour that forgot the band. The empanadas had almost no flavor and tasted like they might have come straight from a frozen grocery aisle, missing the Caribbean spices and personality Bahama Breeze used to be known for. The coconut shrimp arrived cold and not very crispy, and the "mojito" I ordered tasted more like a canned fruit cocktail decided to audition for the role. To be fair, there were a couple of bright spots. The patio was warm and comfortable, and the musician playing around 7 PM did a great job setting a relaxed island vibe that reminded us of the good old days. Our server also tried their best and was friendly despite clearly working with some less-than-stellar food and drink situations. One disappointing sight was the outdoor bar area. It was closed off and stacked with old plates and glasses, which made what used to be a lively patio centerpiece look more like the aftermath of a tropical yard sale. To top it off, I tried to use a gift card I had saved for this final visit, but it wouldn't process. The server tried multiple times and said the system kept giving an error and that there was no way to manually enter it. He even suggested I contact corporate because they've been having issues with gift cards at the store. All in all, it wasn't exactly the grand finale we hoped for. I came expecting island flavor and a little nostalgia... and instead left feeling like the buffet table had packed up early. Still, the music and patio at least gave us a small reminder of what this place used to be.

The veggies , turkey and cheese were fresh . The family owned business has been around since around 2009 . A Venezuelan family who runs Sunny's . I can't believe I've been eating here since this time . At least they've been consistent with their fresh ingredients. My only qualm , is I wished my potato salad wasn't in such a small container. Each time I tried to eat it the salad would spill over into the tray . However , the potato salad was unique , but it was good . The staff is very nice . They have always been professional and accommodating . They were willing to make me another sandwich after I ordered the wrong one. I took the sandwich the gentleman made , because it was everything I asked for with an exception of a few things. So it wasn't a deal breaker and it was my fault. I got the sandwiches confused. It was consistent with the sandwiches I've always known and loved . I usually get the everything bagel , but I vowed next time I go , I will try a different one. If you've been apprehensive don't be . It's a small spot with a few places to sit inside and out . All types of sandwiches. Even breakfast sandwiches. Don't walk , run , it's delicious!!

The food has great flavor in the portion sizes are good. Service is quick and friendly. Occasionally I will get a singular large arepa, but it's hard to pass up the sampler which has four different ones. I'm really keen on the Reina Pepiada and the Domino. Both of these come on the sampler with a steak and catira grilled. You can't sit and eat in the restaurant, it is clean and has tables, but I usually take mine to go. Sometimes I don't make it past the parking lot though before digging in lol.

The sancocho with white rice - chefs kiss! The sancocho definitely had two servings worth. We also tried the sampler (1 empanada, 1 tequeno, 4 different arepas) and also a tostones dish topped with chicken, cheese, cilantro - wow! Everything was great! The bean and platano arepa was my favorite and I can't wait to go back for more. I would love to try their other dishes. We visited the kennesaw location conveniently located off of Cherokee next door to a shell gas station. Great customer service! We were instantly greeted by a sweet woman behind the counter. We did not dine in on this visit but I bet the food is even better if you dine in (as it would be fresh and hot off the stove). I can't wait to go back!

Despite it being a…read morebit farther than our typical distance threshold, we decided to take our son and my in-laws out for a good Cuban lunch last weekend, and thankfully it did not disappoint. As a first generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami and married to a Cuban man, I am happy to report that Cuban Diner is the real deal. This is authentic Cuban food that is as good as the Cuban food easily found all over Miami. We started with croquetas and mariquitas. I ordered the bistec empanizado, hubby ordered the vaca frita, my son ordered the ropa vieja, my MIL orders the palomilla, and my FIL ordered a papa rellena and tamal along with a natural guava juice. We all shared bites of our plates with each other and everyone agreed that everything was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the vaca frita, so I stole a good bit from hubby and I also loved my FIL's guava juice. Service was good, but we got there shortly after opening so we had the place to ourselves. We noticed as it got busier, service definitely slowed considerably, but there was only one server for the whole place and one more handling to go orders. The one server did a fantastic job despite being the only one for multiple tables, but I did notice one couple left in frustration when they were not attended in a timely manner. I loved that they offer a total of 3 sides with the entrees, so you don't have to compromise on sides. I really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try more things on their menu soon. I definitely recommend Cuban Diner, but urge you to pack your patience if you go when there is a crowd. The good news is that the food will be well worth the wait!
