Visited Luigi's Pizza E Pasta with plans to grab lunch shortly after their posted opening time of 11:00 AM. I arrived early and waited patiently. At 11:10, I tried the door--it was open. Upon entering, I was abruptly told to wait 20 more minutes and asked to leave. I politely asked to look at the menu while I waited and took the menu on my way out the door. Shortly after stepping outside, the door was promptly locked behind me. Another customer nearby witnessed this and immediately remarked, "Wow, that guy's grumpy"--which confirmed it wasn't just me. It's understandable if prep was running behind, but the interaction felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. There was zero courtesy or customer service. But more importantly, basic courtesy costs nothing. This kind of attitude drives people away. I won't be back--and based on what I saw, I doubt I'm the only one. read more

Ate at Luigis this weekend. We ordered a large pizza half pep and half cheese. The wait time was around 10-12min. Besides the pizza we ordered a fountain drink and two water bottles the total with tip was around $30. The pizza has great flavor and is perfectly thin with not too much sauce . They offer pizza by the slices here. The inside is small with a few tables. The outside area has a few tables too. The location is next to a kids playground and a small rock climbing area. It's the perfect place to grab some quick food with quick a service. read more

My husband and I recently visited the Mercato Outlets looking for Luna Pizza, where we had the best pizza years ago. We discovered that the business has been taken over and is now called Luigi's. Luigi's son mentioned that their pizza was even better than Luna's, and he was right--it was amazing! You can find Luigi's in the food area of the Mercato Outlets. We're from NJ and were craving some good pizza, so we drove an hour and a half to get here, and wow, it did not disappoint! We were warmly welcomed by Luigi himself, which immediately made us feel at home. This family owned spot even serves authentic Sicilian pie by the slice and from the moment we walked in, the smell told us we were in the right place. We ordered carry-out from Luigi's Pizza e Pasta and it was awesome. We had the baked ziti with meatballs and a large half pepperoni pizza with hot honey. They ziti was enough to share and tasted great... the meatballs were a nice add-on. The pizza was NY style and the hot honey on the pepperoni gave it a spicy-sweet kick. Luigi's is like finding a piece of NY and a touch of Italy in Ft Myers. Glad to have a solid Italian spot in Estero. If you like great Italian, you should definitely try this place out! read more

My husband and I are visiting from New Jersey, so our pizza expectations are pretty up there. Our hotel wouldnt be ready until 3:00. So we decided to explore, and went to get drinks from this Kava drink store, and the where the waitress recommended this pizza place to eat. And boy what a recommendation! We ordered a plain slice, a Sicilian, and a bianco with the chicken slice. I like Bianco the most. The owner is amiable and helpful. When I asked him about his pizza, he explained it in detail. He told me the Italian name of the pizza and its meaning. He also explained to me that Bianco traditionally does not have chicken. He suggested next time, if I want to order it, I should say "Bianco with Chicken" on the phone, haha. My husband is half Italian, half Irish. It's been some time since we found another excellent pizza place outside of our nj bubble-a hidden gem. He likes this place too. I also ordered meatballs too. When I cut the meatballs, I realized that they were not so easy to cut, which meant the meat was pretty dense. And I like that even though it only costs $5.99, it comes with sauce and tons of cheese. They are putting their hearts into their food. I like how the staff and the owner handle clients. They talk to them like they are the next-door neighbor. The shop is small but homey.
