The Pondarosa that was there is still there just under another name. Luckys is horrible. Go to Sav a Lot and buy a steak it will be better.

We have been going to Mac's for about nine years now. We usually go for breakfast. Their food and…read morewait staff are great. However, they have been raising their prices every year. So that is my reason for only 4 stars. We went there in January of this year for breakfast. My wife had a bacon and cheese omelette, I had a sausage and cheese omelette, both come with toast and hash browns. I also had a side of sausage gravy. I had coffee, my wife had a soda. The bill was $42, we left a $7 tip which brought our total to $49 for breakfast. They charge a 3% fee for debit or credit cards, that takes you to $50 for breakfast. I understand that food prices have been going up, along with the egg shortage due to the bird flu. However, the egg shortage is over, but the prices at Mac's haven't come down. During the shortage, eggs were $6 - $8 a dozen or more depending where you shopped. Today I can buy a case of 60 gage free large eggs at Wal Mart for $9.56, that's about $.016 per egg. The omelettes at Mac's are made with 3 eggs. So that's $0.48 for a 3 egg omelette plus the sausage and cheese. For $9.56, I can make 20-3 egg omelettes. Also, I'm sure restaurants pay less as they are buying their supplies in bulk.

My eggs were cooked to order; the bacon was hot and exactly how I like it; & the dollar sized pancakes were thick and perfect. This is a smaller place and that size and the friendly people made this a place I will return to.

I enjoyed the chimichanga the first time, but the best entree was the Rancheros tacos. They are three delicious deep-fried flour tacos served with beans and rice. I agree with other reviewers that the free chips and salsa are bland, but three hot sauces are available at the table if you want to spice it up. Don't forget the fried ice cream for dessert. Booth and flat-top seating in a quaint, Hispanic-themed restaurant with very decorative tables and music. Parties of 5 or more may have a wait, per the sign on the door. DoorDash and takeout. No credit card fee. Lunch and combo specials. Competitive pricing. The food comes out quickly with good service. Large strip mall parking lot. I have and will return.

We got there just before the lunch crowd but service was fast and the food was excellent. My mom and I both got the beef chimichanga lunch. It came with rice and beans and a guacamole salad on the side. The white queso sauce over the chimichanga was excellent. Everything was hot and fresh and lunch also comes with complementary chips and salsa. The chips were a little on the heavier side but surprisingly light and tasty. They make them in house our waitress told us. Prices were reasonable and we were in and out in 30 minutes and back on the road.

I have been ordering food from G's here in West Branch for about 10 years. Seems like with each…read morepassing year, their quality goes down. The issues I have are, the inconsistency of the food, the outrageous price increases over the past few years, and the new cumbersome online ordering system. Food Inconsistency: Mostly with their pizza. Not sure if this is due to a change in management or high employee turnover. Like others have said, sometimes the crust is fine, and at other times it can be over or under done. Their pizza sauce and toppings are good, but the amounts can vary with each pizza. You would think they would have set pattern to follow. Like, this is how we make a pizza with the normal amount of toppings, this is how we make it with a light amount of toppings, and this is how we make it with extra toppings. Maybe it's a training issue. Pricing: I know the prices of food has gone up in the last few years, but not by 100%. The signature meatballs on their shareables menu are now $17, a few years ago they were $8. The meatballs are good size, but $17 for 4 meatballs and 6 breadsticks, really. I can buy 3lbs of ground round for that and get 16 of the same size meatballs. They're charging $13 for a basket of deep fried pickles, really, they're pickles. It is $12.50 for 6 deep fried cheese sticks and dipping sauce. Online ordering system: For some reason they decided to changeover to a new online ordering system. I have a G's account, I didn't receive any notification of the system change, or how to navigate through it. I also lost all my G's reward points when the change occurred. The old system was easy to navigate and worked just fine. So if you ordered a pizza, you chose what size. For the toppings you chose, you had the option of light, regular or extra amounts. With the new system the amounts are a series of numbers that range from +1,+2,+3, or -1,-2,-3, with no explanation of how a number affects the amount used. We usually order the same pizza. We get extra peperoni, extra fresh mozzarella cheese, and a flavored crust. The first one we ordered had little to no sauce, regular amount of peperoni and cheese, and the bottom of the crust was paper thin and over baked. Compared to that one, I've had better pizza at some gas stations. Now I have to say, I am a cheese fanatic, however, the next pizza we ordered the crust thickness was fine, right amount of sauce and peperoni, but there was so much cheese on it, it was even to much for me. Also, not sure what changed, there is so much grease/oil on the bottom of the crust that it soaks through the paper and the bottom of the box. I wasn't like that in the past. The pizza we got yesterday had extra cheese on one half, and very little on the other half. So again, inconsistency.
