I am forever obsessed with Lucky's pizza! We had had a long day at the Seahawks/Cardinals game and we were starving. I searched for pizza joints around our condo and picked the first one we saw which happened to be Lucky's. Thank goodness we took the chance! We walked in and we were greeted by the owners who are a husband and wife duo. They immediately started raving about their pizza, and telling us about the authenticity of the NY style pizza, as the husband is from there. They were both so friendly and chatty, which we all love! Each couple grabbed a different pizza and waited patiently. I'll first start by saying that the prices are exceptionally reasonable for the amount of pizza you get. We had no idea that an XL pizza would yield nearly as much as it did. Our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs in this instance. The crust was perfect. It was nice and crisp with a little give to fold the slice in half. The sauce was a perfect compliment to the rest of the ingredients and wasn't watery or overwhelming. We got the meat lovers, and the meatballs that were on it were SO good, I think they were my favorite part. The toppings were more than generous. The other duo had the chicken bacon ranch and again, it was fabulous. The sauce was so thick and tasty and the chicken and bacon were of good quality. My only regret is that we don't have a Lucky's anywhere near us, because now I'll be day dreaming of the day I return to Glendale for a slice of pie. read more

You know when you pick up a slice pf pizza and the dough is breadlike and it holds all the topping on the pizza slice? Sadly this pizza was not that. Picked up a slice, out of a large pizza with three toppings, and all the toppings and cheese slipped off because the "bread" was more like play-dough or a wet noodle and was as limp as a noodle. It was impossible to eat this pizza with our hands, except for the very outer edge of the crust which was well cooked and not limp. It had lots of cheese and ample toppings, but no pizza dough to hold it all together. We had wings too, they were OK, nothing special but were at least edible. read more

I've been coming to lucky's for a couple years. Their Sicilian deep dish is fantastic I usually have a beer in a frozen mug while I wait for my pizza. This time I tried something different. Recently went to Lucky's for dinner on a Sunday night, and it was my second visit. The place is nothing fancy, just good and honest pizza place fare tucked into a strip mall in Glendale. It was a little quiet inside, but for 7pm on a summer Sunday, that's to be expected. Started with the wings (BBQ), and was pleased with them. Though a little smaller than a lot of places' wings, these were fried crispy and came covered in the perfect amount of sauce. I'll definitely order these again! Next we shared a broccoli white pizza. Red sauce-free, with garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, and broccoli florets on top, I thought it could have used a little more salt overall, but the crust was the perfect mix of chewy and crispy. We were told by our server that it's one of the best pizzas on the menu, and I'm sure she's right. The owner, Benny (who was nice enough to talk shop with us afterward about owning a small business), has been running the place since the early 90s and his family holds various positions in the restaurant. Definitely a great, local, Glendale spot! It'll be our go-to pizza place in the area from now on. read more

Felt like I was reading a tweet from Trump, honestly. Every single time I order from this damn place there is an issue. Super bowl Sunday I waited 2 hours for cold pizza and soggy, disgusting boneless wings, that I did not order, btw. They placed a note in the bag saying sorry we are out of wings. No phone call, nothing. Today I ordered ONE sandwich, we are approaching 1.5 hours and I still haven't gotten fresh food delivered. First order was delivered at the 1 hour and 10 minute mark, driver said yeah its fresh, been in my car for 5 minutes, little did he know I spoke with the person that answered the phone that said it left 15 minutes ago. Sandwich was ice cold. Setting something on top of hot French fries does not keep food hot, fyi.So the driver lied right to my face and left like it was nothing. The pizza was soft, sloppy, and doughy in the middle, but tough and hard to chew everywhere else....and if you tried to bite into the crust you could crack a tooth. We also ordered a salad and they gave me the wrong dressing. I threw it away and had to go buy food from McDonald's, because their pizza was so bad. WOW! We were blown away by how good this place was. A small hole in the wall in an older shopping center but it was probably some of the best pizza that I have ever had.
