It's bar food, so my expectations are low. The food was ok, though I do love the popcorn. I have a thing for popcorn. The only complaint I have is that the pulled pork is much to vinegary. The coleslaw helps some, but not much. Ask for barbecue sauce to kill the vinegar, and it makes the sandwich better. Not sure if we'll be back anytime soon. This was the second time I've been here in three years. read more

Fast service, Good food. In and out within an hour and was fairly busy.Definitely would go back

Food was good but not great. I felt they offer a good variety of pub food. I wished I tried the walleye. I was too tired after flying in to town. Customers were more fun than employees. It was really slow and the bartender ran around cleaning and was hard to get her attention. "Like really eh" huge bar but only 8 customers and I have to call out for your attention. To get anything read more

Lucky's is like a box of chocolates: You never know what you're going to get. These days I mostly go to Lucky's for happy hour drinks only because the food is really hit-or-miss. A lot of their appetizers and some of their main dishes come out dripping in grease and kind of soggy. It's not a great combination. The service is also hit-or-miss - sometimes you get a rockstar server who loves the lunch or after-work rush and other times you get a server that could not be more annoyed that you ended up in their section. The atmosphere of Lucky's is nice and I love this location for a big group of people because they can pretty easily accommodate that here. read more

This was our first visit to Lucky's. I would have given them at least 4 stars if we had had decent service. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes before our server showed up. The steak sandwiches we ordered were quite good, and we were going to order a dessert, but after waiting 30 minutes for our server to check on us, we decided not to get stuck there for another hour! I'd like to go back and try some of the other items on the menu; I would hope our bad service was an oddity, and not a regular occurrence. I'd love to have another place in our neighborhood to go to! read more

Service is shockingly bad. We were seated, server gave us menus and took our drink order. Over 20 mins later we had to go track her down to ask if we could get our drinks. The server didn't even have the courtesy to apologize, just said "we're short staffed". read more

I gave two stars for the nice waitress and patio seating. I wasn't impressed with the food. I guess it is bar food but still... I ordered Shepard' pie and it was awful. I had two bites and couldn't eat any more. The waitress was nice enough to take it off my bill. Lettuce wrap was just ok. read more

Three stars and this is mostly for the service. Our waitress was sweet & attentive. The manager was also kind. My husband had a juicy lucky/lucky Lucy and he said it was good & loved his fries. My son loved his chicken strips. "Mom! It's real chicken!" My daughter ordered the broccoli cheddar soup. Now, she is 6 so I figured when she said it wasn't good she was just being picky. But I tried some; and it didn't taste like broccoli or cheese. It tasted like creamy thyme soup. I had the Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes. The gravy was also heavy with the thyme. I like thyme, but it was a bit much. I guess pub staples are the way to go here. I do like the ambience and staff! read more

Sunday night football at this place is lots of fun. Good food and drinks with great atmosphere. I'd come back. The waitress was very attentive and food was fast and delicious read more

One of my favorite quick brunch spots. I like to sit at the bar (mimosas come faster that way). I really like their chicken and waffles. I'm a fan of getting dishes to share. If I eat a full chicken and waffles I end up with heartburn but that might just be me. Also-- Lucky's always has pull tabs and usually bingo! read more

My husband and our 3 year old twins had an amazing experience here this morning! From the host to the manager and then bartender greeting us before we even were seated was extremely inviting! Our server was super awesome and on point! I think his name was Ryan. He was super cool! Either way, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here AND the food was SPECTACULAR! We will be back and hope our same server will be there! read more

Came here for lunch during the week and could not believe how packed it was. The restaurant has a ton of seating but we sat at the bar to avoid the wait. If you ever want to watch a game this place is also good for that, tons of TVs to give it a sports bar atmosphere. I was a little overwhelmed with all the different menu options. They have every variation of burger, sandwich and salad on the lunch menu. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich but asked for it to be in a wrap instead. I appreciated they allowed the substitution. Way tooooo much food for a lunch portion, enough to put you in a food coma at your desk. I only finished half my wrap so I could save some for later. Homemade chips came on the side and they were so crunchy and crispy and delicious. Aside from the food the waitress was very friendly and quick to get us drinks and put our food order in despite how busy it was. read more

My wife and I ordered food here online on Saturday. We were one of the first orders of the day, we picked up just before noon. We live about a mile away and this was our first time eating here. I was hesitant to come based off the reviews, and I should have listened to them. We ordered the hickory burger, the fish fry, and a bowl of chili. The menu said the burger would come with crispy onions. What they meant was sautéed for 15 seconds onions. It was very disappointing. Needless to say even if they did that right, the burger would still have been not very good. We got onions rings as a side, and we were served 3 onion rings. 3! On the small side too. I was shocked when I saw that. The fish fry was supposed to come with coleslaw, one of the reasons I ordered it. I was given cottage cheese instead. Very disappointing again. The fish itself was very small and not crispy at all. They need to fry it a lot longer. We got "hand cut fries" as a side for that and they were bland, not salted, and certainly not hand cut in that restaurant. If they are, they should be ashamed of the quality. I'm not sure how they can screw up this much for such a simple order, especially because there was no other orders when I picked up, and the staff was just sitting around. We love to go to local spots to get food and support, but this was a rip off plain and simple. Please go to tavern 23 or northstar tavern in the area if you want at least a restaurant that tries to give you decent food. We won't be giving this place another dime. read more

Not worth it. We waited 20 minutes to receive our drinks from a very rude waitress and proceeded to close our tabs and go elsewhere. Sadly, I've been here once before, and very average food at the most. read more

First time here. Dinner with wife and daughter. Twins were playing Yankees. Place was packed. Our server was friendly and attentive even though she was very busy. Food was good. Decent beer selection. Cool place. Will go back. read more

My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were in the mood for some good fried pickles and cheese curds. The ambiance is great for a sports bar. It is large enough for large groups, but also a great place for just a couple. There were lots of families; so I would say come here if you are okay with a bit of rowdiness, and not in terms of drunk people- but in terms of young kids running around. The service was pretty good despite the fact that I think there was just one waitress for an entire half of the restaurant. We got our food very quickly, and it was hot and delicious. We ordered fried pickles and cheese curds. Both were very tasty. The ranch tasted homemade as well, which was a very nice addition. We left feeling way too full because we just didn't want to stop eating the yummy apps. We will be back! read more

I had a group of about 10 people meet for drinks here on a Friday night. It wasn't packed and we all got to sit at the same table. I have to say they handled our young adult, many drink ordering crowd great. The night went exactly how I hoped it would. Bar tender was great and wait staff as well. Only critique I have is that someone from our party tried to play some emo music on the jukebox and our song was shut down, jukebox got turned off. Otherwise it was a great time! P.s fried pickles were AMAZING! read more

Ordered: IPA Beer, split order of Queso and chips, Minnesota burger and fries. Total: $28 Atmosphere: it totally has that local pub vibe, everyone was friendly and loud in a good way. It was kind of dark and the tables were all packed- but that's a good problem. The menu is huge for what they offer, it's clear burgers are their thing. The beers was good and cold. The queso was slightly bland and was a thicker consistency than I was expecting but not too bad (reminded me of chipotle's new queso). The Minnesota burger is what will bring me back. The meat was juicy and and flavorful. You could taste the wild rice mixed in with the beef and it was a nice texture! The other flavored meshed so well together, there was sweet, salty and savory, SO GOOD! Oh and the fries, amazing. They're home cut steak fries and they're not the prettiest but they're so good. Slightly crunchy exterior and soft and fluffy in the middle. read more

Ahi Tuna Salad was tasteless and the server wore her mask below nose. Would not recommend.

Good food but $10.50 for a beer. Dream on! I hate paying those prices at a baseball game. Why would I spend that at a bar.

Great service. Very friendly and helpful in choosing a meal. Very fast service. Patio is nice with the fire place and lights on the tree. Will return. Loved the turkey Brie sandwich. read more

Lucky 13's is an awesome spot to grab Happy Hour. To be honest, not even sure when or what the happy hour is but I'll be back whenever I get the chance. They have a great selection of taps and cold drinks, on top of that, the appetizers are amazing! They have some very creative and original menu items that you can't find anywhere else! For example, home made pizza rolls. Be careful, let them cool for a minute. Otherwise you may not be able to taste food for a week. They are battered and fried right there in house and they are the best! Make sure to bring your reading glasses because the menu is humongous. They must have 50+ items on the menu. Mostly all creative variations of burgers and sandwiches. There are salmon burgers, turkey burgers, burgers filled with cheese and bacon, burgers that will melt your mouth, burgers topped with cheese curds. The list goes on and on. The service is great, the staff are friendly. The location is big, spacious and well decorated. Each time I've been there the bar was super lively and crowded. There was plenty room for everybody though. No wait for drinks or service. If you're in the area make sure to check this place out! read more

Yay! They got their old fries back, no more of the thick soggy potato "fries." We just went last week, and although it was busy and very hard to have a conversation because of how loud it was, it was the best Lucky's experience I have had in a very long time. The burger (I believe I got the bacon & brie burger ... you can't go wrong with brie), was delicious! Not dry like it has been in the past at Lucky's. I also liked that the bun was super yummy! Normally the bun is just a vehicle (am I right?), but this bun was better than usual. read more

I'll start by pointing out that Lucky's was started by the same fine folks that brought us Axel's, Bonfire and Rudy's Redeye Grill... so in my book, they can do very little wrong. Lucky's 13 is no exception. Taking over the old Bennigan's space, they did an unbelievable job renovating it and making it look like it's been a Bloomington institution since the 1930s. The stamped tin ceilings, the cable-driven ceiling fans and the dusted brick walls all harken to an era far earlier than it's actual 2010 debut. To me it feels like my old gray hooded sweatshirt - not flashy, but really comfortable. The extensive menu contains a laundry list of appetizers (try the tater tots - they're actually loaded mashed potatoes rolled into a ball and deep-fried), salads, sandwiches and pizzas. They also have more than a dozen different burgers if you're into that sort of thing. And I am. I recommend the Hickory burger and the Turkey Bacon melt... mmm. They don't do traditional dinner plates, so if you're looking for a steak or chops, look elsewhere. The beer list is a bit of a disappointment, but they do have a couple seasonals like Sam Adams and Summit, so I'll let that slide. In Bloomington you're just not going to find much in the way of craft beer taps. I definitely recommend a trip to Lucky's if you're in the area - but be warned, the lot is always pretty full and it seems there is always a wait to be seated. Grab a seat at the bar, have some of the free popcorn or peanuts and relax. read more

Very large selection, lots of specialty choices. Great happy hour deals/app deals. Plenty of space, and full bar. Favorite part is the random club music playing last time we came, hilarious seeing how it's a country theme pub. read more

I really, really wanted to just go with 4 stars, but there were a few intangibles that convinced me to push it to 5. My coworker and I were here on a busy Saturday night. We got lucky and got a couple good spots at the bar without having to wait. Despite the place being packed, we were well attended to by the bartenders throughout the night. What impressed me the most about the service was how genuinely concerned the staff was about our experience. We were asked at least 3 times (by different people, only 1 of them management as far as I could tell) how our burgers were. Now, the food: The burger itself was the closest to that "cooked in the backyard by Dad" taste I've had in a restaurant in a very long time. My sweet potato fries were also satisfactory and my coworker seemed happy with his burger and loaded tater tots. The only shortcoming was that they came across as cheap a couple of times: 1) My coworker got 3, yes three, loaded tater tots with his burger. Granted, they are quite large, but the portion definitely does not justify the $1 upcharge. He did say they were good, but it didn't look like a good value. 2) The smaller beers are 14 ounces, not the traditional pint. Granted, I didn't actually measure them. I'm just going with what the receipt said. Is that nitpicking? Absolutely, but it doesn't take much to drop you from perfection to 4 stars. However, 2 things struck me that pushed me past the shortcomings. 1) The place was clean. From our vantage point, you could see into part of the kitchen and what I assumed was a server/expediter area with various food items around. Considering how busy it was, it was immaculate. We could also see the kitchen being deep cleaned (as in guys cleaning the hood system) during the busy dinner service. I was impressed. 2) The attitude of the staff. It was busy, but nobody was stressed and everybody was having a good time. I got a good feel for this sitting at the end of the bar. I was also really impressed with the manager's interaction with the rest of the staff. Well done, guys. read more

Went here after work with a handful of my co-workers for dinner & HH. Even with a large group, our waitress Brittany did a great job keeping up with our requests. I ordered the Chicken Gyro with L13 tots. Be forewarned, their tots are handmade & full off cheese & bacon. As a side you only get 3 but that was plenty. The gyro itself was huge & really delicious, but pretty messy. I just stuck to H2O but my friends all seemed to enjoy their drinks. We agreed that we'd be back. read more

I came here with a book club group. Funny how that always rouses the appetite, all that brain energy, at least with this club. We got seated as they were starting bingo. Some lucky fuck walks out with over $1000, that got my interest. I got the Buffalo shrimp po boy. That was damn good. I was getting in bites between bingo numbers. I had the timing down pat even though I looked like an imbecile. The coleslaw is pretty detestable, but I always find a way to make food work. I had a huge side of blue cheese dressing sitting there. I add it to the slaw and gobbled the whole thing. We had an awesome waiter, handled a crowd great, always on hand too. I love this location cause it's away from the other chains in this area. read more

I have been here several times. My girlfriends and I love this place on winter Saturday afternoons for BINGO! Yes I love that stupid game - most rounds are one buck per card/sheet/whatever they call them and yes I actually won once which I know has nothing to do with Lucky's. The bingo is run by a separate for charity type business. Service is typically very good and parking is good - nice large off street lot. Food is luckluster but adequate. Think typical sports bar food but with better variety. Trouble is the quality of the food is hit or miss. We used to LOVE the wild rice walleye eggrolls but lately they've sucked. I used to love the fish tacos but TWICE they were full of bones so I'm done with that. Lately we've been splitting appetizers or more recently I had the soup which was good but my half ham sandwich was aw-ful. I must say they make a consistently great bloody mary. Atmosphere is great, can be loud. I do like this place, don't love it but we keep coming back for the bingo; read more

I took customers out here for dinner and drinks. We sat outside on the patio, even though it was somewhat threatening rain. It turned out to be a great evening. Our waitress Lauren was hopping and fast. Great huge portions on everyone's entree including my Monte Cristo shown in the pics. We got a huge nacho appetizer that was also excellent. Highly recommend the food and the service and the ambience! read more

It's as if Applebee's had a cooler brother who went to college but didn't graduate because he got a sophomore pregnant. This place is trying. It's like I get it. They boast on their menu they make some great big tater tot. But seriously, it's a grease ridden mashup of tasteless potatoes. Look, if you like being "that guy" or the girl that "is trying too hard". Then eat here. Heck, they have a nice little patio that overlooks a car dealership, Best Buy headquarters and an abandoned shopping mall. It's ok though, because it's a hip, "indie", local joint that isn't trying too hard. Feel cool that you and the team can relax here. Catch the bingo, but don't expect to hear the numbers called since every guy named "Chuck" and every woman named "Deborah" are having a birthday lunch here. "Haha, remember that time when..." Look, just cook something good and quit overcharging for mediocre food. Taste what you serve. Don't you watch Gordon Ramsey? read more

Great atmosphere. Rustic western motif. Popcorn at the bar which I like as a bat snack. Salty bit the right amount. The omelet was fantastic, 5 eggs!! more than enough to fill a healthy appetite. $1 bingo to keep you busy while you eat and drink. read more

I've eaten here many times.....walking distance from my house. Love this place. Everything I've tried has been great. Not exactly a low calorie place....but I love the variety of their burgers. My favorite is the Mac & Cheese Burger. Huge burger, macaroni and cheese on top and Cheetos on top of that. Feed the American obesity stereotype by visiting this place. Fun environment....music is a bit loud for conversation at a large table. Cute patio environment too. read more

We came to Lucky's on a Sunday at noon-for a table for 9-they do not take reservations-but you can call ahead. Our server did a very good job. The turkey wild rice soup is a meal by itself. read more

We came to Lucky's on Halloween for a late lunch/ happy hour. I am obsessed with the atmosphere and the whole place was decorated for the holiday. Even the staff was all in costume! We were sat right away and immediately greeted by our server along with two bowls of free popcorn (which she kept refilling throughout our time there). It was difficult not to fill up on. They offer two sizes of tap beer, and we all opted for the 22oz of course!! The menu is unexpectedly HUGE. There are endless apps, creative burgers, sandwiches and even a few entrees! I decided on the salmon burger and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. It was topped with cucumber relish and sprouts with your choice of fries, onion rings, salad, coleslaw, or chips. I opted for the fries which were perfectly crisp and warm! The portions are huge, I could barely eat half of it. I would definitely come back here again if I'm in the area. I bet it's a really fun place for week night happy hours! read more

Chain bar food at its best. If your in the mood for standard bar fare, done chain style than go for it. It's not a gastro pub, Irish pub, sports bar or anything else. It's a bar, serves drinks, pretty decent food anchored by Sandwiches. Nothing of note or that suggests using adjectives like "amazing", "mind altering" or "mouth watering" but a good burger, fresh fish, good service. It is loud, there is alot going on (happy hours to birthdays to family dinners) read more

Great atmosphere! Will not hesitate to come back. Staff was friendly and responsive, always pretty busy in there too!

My partner and I decided to try breakfast at Lucky 13 in Bloomington. I ordered a burger hollandaise and my partner ordered a breakfast scramble. The wait staff were very efficient and attentive without being intrusive. My burger hollandaise turned out to be sausage, not a hamburger. I found the dish to be loaded with salt. My partner's dish was also loaded with salt. His comment was that he needed a shower in his mouth to get rid of the salt taste. The hash brown potatoes were mushy and not very crisp. The monkey bread was good. It was slathered In a caramel sauce. It's unlikely we'll go back due to the over salting of both dishes. read more

A few of my friends were trying to find an after work meeting spot that worked for all of us and someone mentioned Lucky's. 3 out of the 4 of us got lost trying to find it. GPS was not the most help, it told the 3 of us that it was located at the middle of an intersection, not so much. It is behind a few car dealerships. We were seated right away in a booth, which is nice and our food care out quickly. Our waitress was not very friendly and she seemed like she did not want to be there. She kept throwing things at our table, but rarely asked if we wanted anything. The food was okay, nothing too special. They have huge portions for their sandwiches, burgers and entrees. I had the veggie burger and it was good, but extremely messy since it kept falling apart as I ate it. I have been to their Mendota location and the service was better and it was a little brighter inside. read more
