(After calling the insurance broker, I learned that insurers don't want to insure roofs over 10 years old! This drive-by inspection followed by a threat-to-drop letter is a current tactic.) I had JSI and 2 other companies come evaluate my roof. Jim from JSI simply glanced at it and told me I definitely needed to replace the roof. The two others shook their heads and said the roof looked fine. One pointed out a repair that needed to be done but both said a new roof wasn't necessary. My conclusion is that JSI is happy to get on board with this insurance company ploy. Sad for a company that has had a good reputation.

Excellent experience…read more We needed some siding and trim repaired and/or replaced. James was prompt in sending someone out to assess the work needed and within days got back with us regarding an estimate (including a 3-year warranty) to do the work. We scheduled immediately, as other reviews for JSI were so favorable and the total cost was very reasonable. JSI's crew was right on time for the scheduled day of work. Superb job doing everything that was needed to be done. While they were short on supplies to complete, they were back within 48 hours to finish everything. Clean up was great and communication with both the crew and with James was perfect. Local business! I would not hesitate to contact them again for any and all of our roofing/exterior needs.

I engaged ZG Concrete for a 3 part project for my home: Complete replacement of the whole…read moredriveway, back patio, and front walkway. The old structures were 50+ years old and in poor condition, and a weak point in the look and function of the property. ZG quoted the job quickly and accomodated the addition of the front walkway when it was obvious that was an easy additional item to have replaced. Communication with ZG was great for the whole project. I received a fairly detailed quote and payment schedule. When the work started, it was swift and proceeded along at an efficient rate. The job was done start to finish in a week. For this job I was looking for quality. Speciflcally I wanted correctly sized rebar used for the entire project, the use of rebar chairs, quality expansion joint wood, correct grading of all surfaces, and crews who know what they're doing. ZG delivered all of that. The tie-in to the city street was done corretly, with a hefty beam at the start of the driveway with rebar set into holes drilled into the street. The final driveway was finished with a brushed texture and smooth edges all the way around. The stamped concrete on the walkway and patio was colored, finished, and sealed, and mimics the look of natural stone. When I hire a comany, I am looking for variety of things including personable people who have an eye for quality. One can always find a cheaper bid from a company who cuts corners and delivers an inferior product. I wanted great lookling, high quality final results that would last decades. If you're going to buy a lot of concrete and pay to have it installed, it makes sense to ensure that the underlying details such as rebar, grading, and fit and finish are also done correctly. Julian and Waleed are working hard to produce quality end products for their customers. I would easily use ZG again and would certainly reccomend them.
