Wire found in my egg drop soup
    Christine C.

I ordered food through door dash. Normally the food is very good but I am very disappointed. I was eating the egg drop soup and I choked on a large wire that cut my mouth. We decided to not eat the rest of the food and to throw it out in case it had any more wires.

    General Tsao's Tofu with rice

This is my first visit to this establishment. I went for lunch. Indoor seating is limited. It's clean and has pleasant decor. The staff consisted of one man, and he was cheerful, accommodating and pleasant. There are many choices on the menu. I was pleased to see a plant-based option of General Tsao's tofu. How's the photo shows, they were vegetables added as well, giving Nice color balance. It had some red peppers, so there was a little bit of zing. Very tasty. Prices are very reasonable. I certainly will be back to try other things on the menu.

Delicious kung pao tofu. The Mixed fried rice is good. Willing to try more of their items in the future.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly set the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal. The rustic charm of the decor, combined with the lively buzz of happy diners, made it feel like a home away from home. I started with the Shrimp and Grits, and let me tell you, it was a revelation. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy, seasoned to perfection with a subtle kick that danced on my taste buds. The grits were creamy and rich, with just the right amount of buttery goodness, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left me wanting more. Next up was the Fried Chicken and Waffle Jr. Plate, a true masterpiece. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned with a secret blend of spices that elevated it to new heights. The waffle was fluffy and golden, a perfect vessel for soaking up every drop of syrup. While I do wish they used Vermont maple syrup grade A, it was by no means a flaw, it only added to the charm of the dish. The Sweet Tea was the perfect accompaniment to my meal. It was refreshingly sweet, with a hint of lemon that brightened each sip and left a lingering taste of summer. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure every need was met with a smile. Their genuine hospitality added to the overall experience, making me feel like a valued guest. Frank's Chicken and Waffle is a culinary gem in Albuquerque, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal that will delight your senses and warm your soul.

What did we find?! For starters, it is a popular place with set menus and a well trained staff.  It is good to ask questions on your first visit as there are SO many different varieties of chicken salad ... think Bubba (Benjamin Buford Blue) telling Forrest Gump about all the different kinds of shrimp... yes, there are that many varieties of chicken salad!  All of that to say, yes, it is worth a visit. My choice was the Chicken Salad Melt.  It was a solid crousiant and the cookie that comes with the meal is a w-i-n.

Only the other one in the South Valley (where we never go) has them. The tv commercials didn't say that. I did let the servers know this bc I felt it was false advertising. We got a Flight of 4 different beers and "settled" on a fried fish w salad which was ok and their grilled catfish tacos which you had to eat w a fork bc they were too messy to pick up w your fingers.. They tasted ok but the salsa and a pink sauce (?) helped to give them more flavor. The atmosphere was ok and the Friday evening crowd was arriving. We ate inside and our server, Sophia, was very good. It didn't take long to get our dinners except my partner's salad took forever! The salads are included w the meals. My salad was different and good which was a Blackeye pea, corn, & more ingredients. My experience there was disappointing since I wanted ribs and not "soggy" fish tacos. I might go back for the beer only.

Dan had: Pappadeaux's Platter with Two fried catfish fillets, [extra] shrimp, oysters, stuffed shrimp, stuffed crab, crawfish. Dan only got through less than half. I ordered Rainbow Trout & Jumbo Crab Blackened trout, shrimp, jumbo lump crab, hazelnut brown butter, with Buttered Heirloom Grits. The pairing worked very well together. There was a slight up charge for the grits, but I am happy. The food was fresh, delicious and well balanced. The garden outside and around Pappadeaux is a relaxing and inviting.
