I've always been so happy with the embroidery and customer service at Lucky Thread. So much so, that when my daughter purchased Christmas stockings from Pottery Barn, I told her not to have them embroidered through Pottery Barn, but rather take them to Lucky Thread. I assured her the higher cost with Lucky Thread would be well worth it. I was wrong. So wrong. The work done on her stockings is terrible. The names were not centered, and the stocking that was embroidered "Dad" looks as though it was embroidered, the stitching removed and redone. I am so embarrassed to have referred her to this place. This store is amazing in so many ways & always the cutest decor, dishes, jewelry, bags, gifts & so much more. Wether you plan ahead or need something last minute you can always find something in there you will love or love to give someone. What I love most though is how amazing everything I've ever had made there always turns out. Many times over the last 10 years I've needEd a last minute shirt made & every time the girls in the store come through. This last weekend we had a fund raiser walk & I didn't think having matching shirts would matter, but my daughter teared up with disappointment when I told her I didn't get them ordered in time. I reached out to Katey who told Joey & she ROCKED another awesome shirt for us. She even stayed late to finish. I was so grateful they saved me & the day. I have always loved all the items I have had personalized at Lucky Thread! They have all kinds of colors of threads and vinyl with several fonts. We recently got our yetis personalized there and are excited to use them. I have also had pocket patches sewn onto tshirts with my monogram. This store was adorable. Ladies, if you want to pick up a gift for a baby shower, a friends birthday or just a little something for yourself I'd stop in here. There are hats, jewelry, picture frames, purses, stationary, coffee cups and a thousand other things. I bought a cute burp cloth and a clutch that can be used for several different things. I could have gotten the clutch monogrammed however, since I do not live here I decided not to. The ladies who work there seem to have everything in order. There is a long counter that has options for different threads, font and sizes. I would definitely reccommend a bit more organization in there because it seemed really cluttered and unorganized. read more

Used a Groupon worth $40 (purchased for $20) and wanted 4 items monogrammed with a single name. Total bill was $73. So ended up paying $53 total to monogram 4 items...which seems high. In addition, one of the items was done on a blanket and when I picked it up, the edges of the letters were pulling and creating holes. I had asked when I dropped off the items whether the fabric was okay to monogram. They said they do that fabric all the time. When I showed them the holes, they said it was okay and wouldn't get bigger. One wash and now I have bigger holes. Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed in the whole experience and won't be returning. read more

They have lots of super cute items in the store for gifts from baby items, tumblers, plates, shirts, bags, nap mats...you name it. However....if it's customer service you're after, forget it! The cute items keep me trying it again but always turned off by the wait times and lack of help. I've purchased t shirts for my sons class here before, back pack and nap mat for my toddler and all turned out great but haven't purchased in a long time because of the issues above. My last attempt was to purchase teacher appreciation gifts. I was hoping to run in and be able to pick something up ready to go but there was nothing ready to go. I decided maybe I'll get the teachers tumblers with vinyl names ....2 week turn around time. I went to another place in stone oak the same day and got 6 tumblers with vinyl custom names while I waited. The two stars are because they do have cute items. read more

These folks are AWESOME They have a great selection of this and that to be personalized. I took a backpack in for my daughter to get her sorority letters on and they did a GREAT job. (her sorority had a thing with little red backpacks, but her old one was falling apart) They matched the font perfectly and added her name... now everyone loves it. read more

STAY AWAY. Leslie the owner is VERY unprofessional and rude. Doesn't care to show customer service and is just flat out ugly to her customers. Long story short. I ordered a Fannypack monogram. It came out looking awful!!!! I called and told her this was not what I wanted.. and it looked so bad. Before she had even seen it she went off basically saying I get what I get in I don't throw a fit.. yeah that would make sense if I was three years old and it was free.. but that was not the case here I paid $16 for a half inch monogram..... I called upset and she gave me an analogy that if I went to Starbucks and ordered a drink and I didn't like it I would drink it because that's what I ordered... no no no if I didn't like it I would tell them and they would "gladly" remake it because that is good CUSTOMER SERVICE. Like if you go to steakhouse in they over cook your meat you're not gonna pay $30 for an overcooked piece of meat. Not only does Leslie the "owner" have bad customer service but she taught everyone of her employees also to have horrible service towards the customers. Stay away, trust me on this one!!! If you would like recommendations on a new places I have found two great places feel free to message me!!! They have great service they meet your needs and go above and beyond with friendliness and understanding. PLUS they are half the price and get things done a lot quicker!!!! Overpriced. Rude, uncaring staff that tries to make you feel like they are doing you a favor. Went into it with the best expectations, but was sorely unimpressed and disappointed. Bad service when I dropped off. I was told by the local school they would know what I needed... wrong. Women was very condescending. I was given a date to pick up my order, I called the day after the scheduled completion date, lucky I did bc it was ready, nor had it even been started.... put in the wrong place. Bad experience with this unprofessional people. Lesly is not customer service oriented, always giving excuses for why the job that I am paying for is not ready as they initially said it would be. Alicia is not a very good listener or communicated, and Katie is just worry about getting her job done. Horrible customer service. They never call back when they say they are, they don't update you on anything, and I feel like they lied a few times because every time I talked to someone different they gave me different answers. Definitely taking my business somewhere else. I am still waiting for a shirt.. that was suppose to be embroidered 8 days ago. Very upset. read more

Not a good experience and poor customer service. I dropped off some items to be monogrammed. I was given a completion date two days later and informed that I would receive a phone call when the item was ready. Four days past, still no phone call. I contacted the shop and was told that they would try to get the job complete in a couple of days and they would call me when it is done. I waited 15 days and still no phone call. I went to the shop and they said they cannot monogram items. I waited over two weeks to find out that they couldn't do it. Therefore, I cannot make comment about the quality of work, I can only make comment of the poor customer service that I received. read more

They do nice work, but only when they do it right! They embroidered the wrong thing on a $100 blanket, removed the incorrect stitching, and re-embroidered the correct thing, but didn't bother to tell us! Instead had the audacity to call and make up an excuse about them running behind. When we got home, we realized they left the paper backing on to cover their mistake which was clearly visible from the back and completely noticeable from the front once we knew what we were looking for. Their customer service is terrible! I called and would never get calls back. They finally agreed to replace the blanket and supposedly I spoke to the owner after numerous attempts trying to get it resolved with a different owner (there are 2 separate women who claim to be the owner), was promised tracking information for the new blanket, and nothing. Called again a week later and after initially being told they weren't able to get an Internet connection (really? It's 2015!), I had to get angry for anyone to care. Finally picked up my correct blanket, 2 months after I dropped off the first one!! This could have been avoided had they been honest about THEIR mistake upfront. Instead they lied and made excuses! I'd give negative stars for their customer service if I could! read more

I went into Lucky Thread and was not impressed with the customer service. Just a couple of weeks ago my employer used their service to make shirts with our logo on them. When I went back this week to get more shirts silk-screened, the individual there did not seem to know what I was asking for and was very unbecoming and rude in her responses. She told me that they did not do the shirts for our office when I informed her that they did and walked away. She returned ten minutes later with a file and said that they had sent them off to another business. When I questioned her on what that meant if I wanted my shirts to be silk screened, she merely flung my bag of shirts that were on the counter between us in my direction with disdain with a "we can't do them unless there's twelve or more shirts". Which would have been understandable if she wasn't so unnecessarily impolite, smug, and unwelcoming- an overall unpleasant experience for me. I will defiantly not be going back to Lucky Thread ever. I will find another place that will service me. read more
