So I've been to The Mad Potter in Houston , which is how I was made aware of this one in San Antonio. My daughter and I decided to get out today to hangout. Location is great! Soon as we walked in we were greeted by Ashley. This location was really busy, but still great vibes! Ashely was nice however not attentive. She did asked had we been here before, I advised we been to the one on Houston. She gave us quick instructions on picking out the pottery pieces. However once seated we never received our water jar, or the necessary things needed to begin. One my daughter picked out her colors and went to find help, located Hope, who was an absolute doll!! Very very helpful! Four stars for Hope! read more

I went here and they have a coupon where after six visits, you get a free pottery painting. This plate was $28 and it covers the painting session too which I think is a fair price. The staff was kind and they finished glazing within 3 days. I took off one star because they smudged my plate which made me sad. read more

This was such a fun experience, and I'd definitely do it again. We got to choose our pottery item, so I picked a small plate, which was $28, and they had a pretty big selection of paints, paintbrushes, sponges and other tools. I also liked that they had paint pens to use for outlining drawings if you used a pencil, but they were a little bit difficult to use because the lines came out thicker than expected. It also only took a day or two for them to fire and glaze the items, so I was really surprised they were ready so fast. The people were really nice and answered questions if we had any. We spent a solid 2 ish hours there and took our time, so the money spent was worth it for the experience. There's also a punch card, so if you paint 6 things there, you get to paint a 7th item for free. read more

We went to a similar place once before but never here. We will go back. The staff were ALL really friendly, very helpful and appropriate in their 'checking in' to see if we were good or needed anything. There was a good variety of items to choose from to paint. My wife took a a platter, and using their wide variety of stencils and the patterns that the staff printed out for her, made a really awesome Christmas cookie platter. She also made a very colorful spoon rest. My eyes were bigger than my hands and I chose a large old fashioned pickup truck with a Christmas tree in the back. It took me about 4 hours to get my piece painted with the detail that I wanted. The items will all be given a glaze and fired by the staff this week and will be ready to pickup in 4 days. The Christmas tree in my piece will have miniature Christmas lights placed in them and lit up before I pick it up. I will edit my post to include pictures once the items are finished. The pieces available to paint have a wide price range so there is probably something for any budget. We will be bring our grandkids during Thanksgiving break. Not sure if it was due to people being off for Veteran's Day but the place was fairly busy the entire time we were there. It would be a fun activity for date night; family activity; or even a group of friends. It was fun! read more

My daughters and I came here for a fun Saturday bonding experience. We each made things we love. We took our time and had so much fun. Update: We came again for. Christmas time thing to do. Made incredible mugs. Didn't finish the painting the first day so came back next day to finish. If you make a mug or something you can actually use it's worth the price. read more

Such a fun time painting and creating clay art. I took my artist play niece for the day and offered her two art options. She selected Clay Casa gleefully. We were able to select our clay pieces and were giving instructions on the lay of the land. We both had a fun time designing our creations. They offer tips on colors to pick and how to get the look you want. Once done they glaze the items you can pick up in about a day or 2. Depends on how busy they are. This is truly a place all ages can enjoy and spend quality time. They have a nice selection of clay options from mugs to coin banks to small statue like items. read more

Spencer is the employee who took care of us and went over the steps of having a successful project. We spent 3 hours here just painting these two things. Gotta have patience, or else you'll have to do it again lol. The music was good and even for it being super busy we had space and were able to talk to each other. Such a cute place and enjoyed our time here. Spencer took very good care of us. We went on Saturday and got told it takes 3-5 days for our projects to be ready. Got a text on Monday our things are ready!! So excited to see them! read more

I absolutely loved this place! So many options to paint, and so many colors and tools to choose from to personalize each piece. The staff was extremely kind and informative! They had options of snacks and drinks available which my friend and I really enjoyed. We came in a Wednesday evening and it was pretty busy, but not overwhelming whatsoever, as everyone had their own personal space and it wasn't too loud. My friend believed the music wasn't very fitting for the activity, but I personally enjoyed it. Will definitely be back! read more

Clay casa is fun for everyone! I've been here for work holiday celebrations as well as just for fun with my kiddos. The price depends on the piece you pick but there are pieces for all budgets. Once you pick your piece, you get to work. They have a huge variety of paint colors and brushes. The staff are there to help if you need it but not pushy at all. It's fun chatting with your group while you work and before you know it, you've made a great piece. Kids can make great memorable grandparent gifts here. The staff will fire it in the kiln and call you once your piece is done (usually a couple of days). If your looking for something different to do on a rainy day or a hot San Antonio summer day-this is a great stop to have fun and pass the time even if your not a Picasso. read more

This place is cute! Compared to other paint a piece places I've gone to, this one had less options for pieces and for paint, but it did have a lot of cute stuff and I enjoyed making my vase. They also fired it really quickly, mine was done in 2 days! read more

My first time at Clay Casa and I LOVED IT. What an incredible idea, wish I'd known about it sooner. I came in and made my own cross mosaic, as many pieces of glass as I'd like and got to take the grout home to do later (for $15-$20 depending on size they'll do it for you). They have a schedule of events for any occasion, girls night, Christmas tree/Cactus lighting for Christmas, kids day, just a surplus of activities for all ages. Love it and will be back soon! read more

We did the " Painting at Home" version with 14 family members via zoom. We had a grand time. Me and my family decided to do something different for the day and we saw the website for this location and were very interested in it. we signed up, we didn't really have to sign up it's not required but I thought it would be best to make a reservation so we did. We weren't sure what to expect but when we got there it was so so much fun. We were able to choose our own art item and the team explained everything we needed to do step-by-step it was very easy process. Unfortunately they didn't give you any smocks to use. So just be mindful that as you are painting and everything you need to have some thing covering your clothing or wear something that you're not worried about getting paint on. Also be mindful that your art work has to be fired to complete the clay process so you leave it there and then they contact you when it's ready after a few days. Also the pricing is a bit. Not too bad but it will depend. We really had so much fun and it was good quality family time, great location great staff, we had a great time we are definitely going to go back again. read more

What a fantastic place to take the kids on the hot summer days. You purchase your pottery peices (kids piggy banks $15) in their store. You pay a fee (kids $5.00/adults $10.00) to paint in the studio. Then they cook it and you pick it up in a week. On Sundays you can bring a family of 4 for only $10.00. Pottery peices start around $3.00. When I stopped in yesterday for a few questions, everyone was helpful and nice. I am looking forward to bringing the kids this weekend! read more
