This was such a fun experience, and I'd definitely do it again. We got to choose our pottery item, so I picked a small plate, which was $28, and they had a pretty big selection of paints, paintbrushes, sponges and other tools. I also liked that they had paint pens to use for outlining drawings if you used a pencil, but they were a little bit difficult to use because the lines came out thicker than expected. It also only took a day or two for them to fire and glaze the items, so I was really surprised they were ready so fast. The people were really nice and answered questions if we had any. We spent a solid 2 ish hours there and took our time, so the money spent was worth it for the experience. We went to a similar place once before but never here. We will go back. The staff were ALL really friendly, very helpful and appropriate in their 'checking in' to see if we were good or needed anything. There was a good variety of items to choose from to paint. My wife took a a platter, and using their wide variety of stencils and the patterns that the staff printed out for her, made a really awesome Christmas cookie platter. She also made a very colorful spoon rest. My eyes were bigger than my hands and I chose a large old fashioned pickup truck with a Christmas tree in the back. It took me about 4 hours to get my piece painted with the detail that I wanted. The items will all be given a glaze and fired by the staff this week and will be ready to pickup in 4 days. The Christmas tree in my piece will have miniature Christmas lights placed in them and lit up before I pick it up. I will edit my post to include pictures once the items are finished. The pieces available to paint have a wide price range so there is probably something for any budget. We will be bring our grandkids during Thanksgiving break. Not sure if it was due to people being off for Veteran's Day but the place was fairly busy the entire time we were there. Once you pick your piece, you get to work. They have a huge variety of paint colors and brushes. The staff are there to help if you need it but not pushy at all. It's fun chatting with your group while you work and before you know it, you've made a great piece. Kids can make great memorable grandparent gifts here. The staff will fire it in the kiln and call you once your piece is done (usually a couple of days). I came in and made my own cross mosaic, as many pieces of glass as I'd like and got to take the grout home to do later (for $15-$20 depending on size they'll do it for you). Me and my family decided to do something different for the day and we saw the website for this location and were very interested in it. we signed up, we didn't really have to sign up it's not required but I thought it would be best to make a reservation so we did. We weren't sure what to expect but when we got there it was so so much fun. We were able to choose our own art item and the team explained everything we needed to do step-by-step it was very easy process. Unfortunately they didn't give you any smocks to use. So just be mindful that as you are painting and everything you need to have some thing covering your clothing or wear something that you're not worried about getting paint on. Also be mindful that your art work has to be fired to complete the clay process so you leave it there and then they contact you when it's ready after a few days. Also the pricing is a bit. Not too bad but it will depend. We really had so much fun and it was good quality family time, great location great staff, we had a great time we are definitely going to go back again. read more

What a fantastic place to take the kids on the hot summer days. You purchase your pottery peices (kids piggy banks $15) in their store. You pay a fee (kids $5.00/adults $10.00) to paint in the studio. Then they cook it and you pick it up in a week. On Sundays you can bring a family of 4 for only $10.00.
