Cannot believe I haven't left a review for this place. It holds a special place in my heart as it was one of my girl and I's first big dates. Such fun attractions and hours of fun! The value was worth it! Also, the staff works hard at maintaining the fun. The selection orooms are so fun especially the ball pit and jump pads! Would recommend for any age.

I love interactive, weirdo museums, so this was fun! Good for adults and kids! Took us about 2 hours walking at a normal pace to get through the entire thing. Highly recommend for something to do in downtown San Antonio. Make sure to make your reservation online in advance! Overall, I would say it's worth the price that they're charging for how many exhibits they have and how long it took us to walk-through :)

Great Saturday event to take the kids. We were looking for something different and this was a perfect spot.

We enjoyed Hopscotch so much! Friendly service! Ashley made us the most amazing drinks. Would definitely recommend

Hopscotch is a cute little interactive museum located in downtown San Antonio just off of Travis Park. I was already in the area so did not need parking but recall seeing reduced rate / partnership parking options nearby for Hopscotch. You check in right when you enter, and although we had to reserve a time slot when booking, we were about 10 minutes late and it didn't seem like a big issue. The museum is self-service so there's no mandatory time slot adherence and I think the time booking is to help the staff manage demand. At least on a Saturday evening, the museum did not seem close to capacity or uncomfortable in any way. There's also a full bar right when you walk in and you can take the drinks with you as explore the museum. Most of the exhibits are downstairs and range from lighthearted and playful to some pretty (mentally) intense exhibits (secrets room?!). Everything was very accessible so we were able to enjoy every exhibit in the museum. In total we spent just under an hour and think we took a pretty leisurely pace through every piece. I don't really know if this experience warrants coming back more than once unless they significantly change the exhibits on a regular basis, but definitely a ton of fun for a family or date night. Booked on Viator and prices seemed very reasonable ($25 pp)

Had a great time. Was a bit pricey for very little things to do. It was like a very small meow wolf Still had fun, and took lots of pics Staff was very nice.

My husband and I had a blast!!! Even watching the other families in there, the kids were having a great time. I appreciate that they give you an appointed time to go in. So it's not overly crowded. You do have to make a reservation, and sign waivers. But it's definitely worth going for the price you pay. It had so many different rooms with different experiences. The staff were kind and explaining to us where to go next!! And every room was some unique and breath taking. Once I have children. I can't wait to bring them here!!

Went to try this while I was in Texas had a great time with my best friend the exhibits were very interesting

I absolutely loved it here! From the exhibitions to the service. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I loved how each exhibition allowed time for interaction and it was crowded so I didn't feel rushed. They have a really good gift shop and a cool bar area in their lobby. I definitely think the price was worth the experience and that they have a great selection of rooms for you to enjoy!

Everyone who worked there was genuinely friendly and eager to assist, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The museums featured a diverse array of exhibits that were engaging, enjoyable, and stimulating, offering a rich selection of artifacts, interactive displays, and hands-on activities suitable for all ages. I highly recommend this venue for a fun date or for families with children who enjoy interactive learning experiences. The ticket prices are reasonable and affordable, though I found the gift shop items to be somewhat pricier than expected; despite that, I still managed to purchase a few souvenirs that I appreciated.

This is the 2nd time we have visited Hopscotch and I still can't believe how amazing it was. We took our 19yr old for the 1st time and she loved it. It was definitely interactive and it wasn't crowded at all. My favorite was the Unknown Atmosphere and I can't wait to see what they change up next time. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The area was very clean and inviting. The space was open and had plenty of room for people to walk around each other. The price was reasonable and worth the trip.

Cute art installations! But I think it's good for just one visit. They have things to see upstairs and downstairs. I wish they were more clear about where they want you to start looking as all the groups are supposed to move in one direction. My boyfriend and I accidentally went downstairs first because we saw an arrow but we were told by staff to go up as that part was the last section. Besides the hopscotch on the floor, I don't think the art installations have a clear theme to hopscotch. I like the plastic bag cave room the best! It looks really cool. Be sure to buy tickets in advance as they typically sell out. If you park in the garage, they validate at the gift shop so you pay $7 for a 3 hour stay.

Ask the Community - Hopscotch

Are they strict about their time slots?

We got there 15 mins after our time because of traffic and they were really understanding about it and let us in!

Is this wheelchair accessible?

I think so, but I'm not 100% sure. Give them a call. It's a neat place. Hope it works for you.

Was there in Nov 2031. Thinking of going back tomorrow Saturday July 2. Have the rooms changed?

I've only been once and that was a few weeks ago but from the previous pictures I've seen online it was everything I expected. I hope this helps!

How long does it take to see the whole museum?

Great question! Hopscotch is all self-guided and self-paced. However, guests usually spend between 1.5-2 hours in the experience.… Read more

Can you go early and hang out? If so, can you park in the parking lot?

Yes! Close parking in a garage right around the corner!

Are they dog friendly?

I don't believe so as it's an inside exhibition however you may call to ask if they allow service dogs.

The art is made up of a wide-range of pottery, jewelry, photography, and paintings. They also sell jewelry made by local artists. I will warn you that they do not take any form of plastic for payment. They do accept cash, money orders and checks. (Who carries checks anymore?) They do have a few touristy trinkets as well. Bottom line: The art supports the church food program but I really didn't think the art was that good. I'll give them three generous stars.

I am totally in love with the art scene in San Antonio at the present! There is a Do it Yourself…read morevibe and a polished art community coexisting simultaneously in the city. With galleries like The High Wire Arts, that feeling is definitely consummated. It is a commune of artists, if you will, who create both compelling and intellectually stimulating works. The gallery is located right across the street from The Josephine Theater. There is some parking in front of the spot, but you might have to park further down and walk here. The outside facade is quite amazing. There are sculptures that surround it; a sight to behold when they are lit up at night. Since I went there for a fundraising function they did charge a nominal entrance fee, $3.00 or by donation. But with admission they did offer catering by an Indian eatery. Inside the place was filled with all types of people to include, hipsters, burnout hippies, squatters, suit and tie types, musicians, writers, etc. White sleek walls were filled with ultra affordable art. I spotted a lady painting a complex piece, while a dog was resting a few feet away from her. The space itself is a mix of light and darkness. For example the front part has a use of brightness, in conjunction with white walls that lends to the pieces being displayed. Along the corridors there are dark corridors hidden by shadows that have rooms where new works are being made. Other rooms in the gallery have specific areas where patrons congregate and converse. In one of the rooms a DJ, an acoustic player and a Hare Krishna avatar were utilizing the same art space. I liked the vibe of this room, with swirling lights straight out of a Andy Warhol studio. It created an esoteric, unearthly vibe. My only critique of this gallery is the overplaying of light and darlk to the hilt. In some of the corridors it would have been nice to see a tad more light beeming. But than again each room and space had its own vision and narrative. Some of the art is mindblowing. To see the use of everyday things like leaves and teabags reimagined into canvases for dialogue was certainly not lost on me. The High Wire Arts Gallery is the perfect spot to play to the assets of this city, which has always been art and music. It is a bit hipster but not pretentious. It has a glow of its own that gives it purpsoe and a sense of urgency. I want to go back and see the teabags with the tiniest of etchings. Maybe it is saying that we need to examine things more closely before we make an absolute judgement. Maybe it is just a teabag with intricate etchings.
