    Huge store.

Lucky Supermarket is definitely an international grocery store. They sell items from all over Asia. The most exotic products and ingredients can be found here. My parents are able to make many authentic traditional Filipino dishes from the ingredients they buy here. It's fun to peruse the aisles to see different types of Asian foods. The store is divided into typical areas you would find in a grocery store. My favourite thing to do is to check out the unique candies and snacks they have available. The bakery section is also another favourite of mine. They also a cafeteria style restaurant where you can buy hot food to eat in or take out. It's a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. If you haven't been here before, come check it out!

Delish dim sum pork buns! Sweeter dough than normal :-)

Hip hip hooray! So glad to have another North End option for Asian groceries! Brand new, bright, & clean! Excellent express and dim sum to eat in or go. Only complaint was they didn't have egg tarts in the bakery and those are my favourite! I had to ask 4 different employees and no one understood English or at least the way I was describing it. Each employee took me to another who then took me to another. Finally, a young - teenagerish - checkout clerk was fluent in English and knew exactly what I was talking about and said they don't have them :-( Their dim sum/to go area was filled with fresh delights - Got Pho to take home to my sick hubby, a vermicelli bowl for myself, steamed shrimp dim sum dumplings, and salad rolls! I was quite impressed with the value and freshness upon arriving home. I uploaded pics of all my finds :-)

Vietnamese crepe - very yummy but no meat inside, there is shrimp in the crepe but it's not enough

Had the Vietnamese crepe and while I really enjoyed it, there was actually no meat inside. There's supposed to be meat inside. The crepe incorporated shrimp but he inside filling was just bean sprouts. Very tasty and I've never seen this being offered as a takeout lunch cafeteria style. I've read the reviews and the pictures for this place before going, just be aware those prices are not current anymore. The prices have increased significantly.

Lucky Supermarket just recently opened a new location on the north side of the city so I decided to check out the place. In terms of the size, it's really big, probably the largest Asian grocery store in Edmonton. It's also clean and brightly lit unlike the 97 Street location so that was a plus. Everything is well-organized and they have a huge selection of fresh produce and cheap too if you wanted to gather some ingredients. Along with a seafood, meat and bakery section, the store is packed with a wide variety of imported Asian food, noodles and yummy snacks. They also stock non-Asian stuff like Kelloggs cereal and Coca Cola though I'll rather buy it at Superstore since it's expensive here and it's not what I came here for. There's a food court by the checkouts so you can buy a small meal and eat there too. The thing I hated about the place was the parking lot. The lot is blocked to the east & south of the building so you'll have to use the Tim Hortons entrance or the one on 140 Ave to get there. It was also chaotic and finding a empty space was nearly impossible unless you waited. The store is a bit far away from where I live but I would love to go whenever I get the chance.

We find products here that are usually hard to find somewhere else. The staff have been very friendly and helpful and when you have a question, they won't leave you till you find what you needed even if you ask them store manager. I love their butchery department and bakery the best. They always have fresh and high quality products that you can smell it from the opposite side of the store. Overall I have been always enjoying my shopping experience there and I highly recommend them! :)

There was lots of hype surrounding its opening and there were long lines waiting to go in when it first opened. I checked it out a few weeks after it opened and I'm not sure if it is worth the hype. There were a wide variety of local company products that can be bought at this store which is great. However the goal of my last visit was to try their in store made food. The ready made food in store was very disappointing. The Alberta Pork Ribs which they claim to be cherry wood smoked for 18 hours was very dry and salty. The hand cut potato wedges and potato salad were nothing special and got too salty. The classic smashed burger was a normal burger that wasn't worth the price. The large chili was overpriced for the portions that was given and reminded me of the chili you can get at Tim Hortons for less the price. The ready made food was just really mediocre. Perhaps just stick with doing grocery shopping here. Ordering the ready made food here is not a good idea.

There's a lot of parking and the carts did not require coins (quarters) to use. COViD protocols are followed here and there was a person there to wipe down my cart before using. I wasn't sure what to expect cuz google reviews referred to it as a desi store, and their store opening neighbourhood mail out noted it was a south Asian grocer. I was pleasantly surprised that there's a ton of variety here catering to all sorts of Asian groceries as well as western groceries. The building is brightly lit and the produce is plentiful, fresh, lots of different kinds (including Asian veggies) and affordable (I saw no bruising or wilting on the fruits and veggies either). I'd say a large majority of the store caters to East Indians which suits the demographic here, but there was also lots of foods that specifically target Filipino, Korean, Chinese, etc. that would usually be found by going to multiple specialty shops...I'm glad it's like a one stop shop! There were a lot of discounted goods too and some even have stickers with additional savings at checkout; $5 fully decorated fudge cake?... Um yes please!! Honestly, I walked in for fruit and came out an hour later like a bandit! There's even some interesting flavours like fruit HP sauce, or masala smoked chicken deli meat. I am also impressed they sell a good variety of meat skewers and halal meat. They also sell reusable grocery bags if you forget your own, or you can ask for a box which is free. You can also opt to donate $10 for a mystery grocery food bag to be donated to the less fortunate fortunate. I'm pretty pumped that this place is so close to home, it might even become my new regular grocery store since there's so many new things I want to come back to try and add to the weekly family meal plan.

But No Frills had stock in sale items I wanted to purchase and I didn't find it dirty. The produce section had a great variety as good prices. I bought a huge tub of blueberries for $4! Found lots of great buys including canned tuna for 97 cents, chicken drumsticks for less than $2/lb, 6 bagels for $1.67, margarine tub for $1, and other items for $1. Wow, great prices! There are some departments that were smaller than other stores including the meat and bakery. Bring your own bags or you can use the boxes they have. Parking lot is a zoo though, as we witnessed a few near accidents.

Time and time again, I've noticed that they follow specific groups of people around the store -- especially Arabs, Blacks, and Mexican customers -- while completely ignoring others. They never seem to follow white customers or Asians, who they see as "their kind of people." My friends and I have never stolen anything, yet we are still watched closely every time we shop there. Even in a store full of people, the staff somehow always end up following us. We've confronted them about this multiple times, but they often pretend not to understand English just to avoid the conversation. This kind of racial profiling is unfair and incredibly uncomfortable. It sends a clear message about who they think belongs and who doesn't. I do not recommend this location to anyone, especially if you're part of a minority group. Just to add on this, H-mart is located on the south side of Edmonton, Near Health Sciences Jubilee Station, where you see a bunch of university students
