I love the supermarket! This one's located in the mall near the food court. It has a wide range of food items, such as sushi, Bento boxes, baos, bakery, and dim sum. They also have roast duck and pork. They also have Boba drinks. This is probably a more affordable option than the mall's food court. The supermarket also has snacks, produce, meat, and poultry, and household knickknacks. This location also has a Vietnamese pho restaurant and yifang fruit tea located inside! read more

I like this location a lot more than the south side. Getting in and out is much easier and parking is not a huge headache like south side. They always have the best products and you can find a lot of items that is hard to find anywhere else! Goodness this place is a great store but I don't know what goes on behind closed doors. There is a employee Rainy or Renee that works in the dimsum I seen her pick up food off the ground and put it back with the others, very sick situation. I will go to the Northgate location from now on this is sick also reported to Alberta health services. This place is bad and customer service does not care if you report someone for sanitary condition. The best aspects of having T&T in West Edmonton Mall is that it's convenient and they have a variety of fresh food and groceries. The negatives are the long lines and not very good customer service. T&T also offers food tasting stations on Saturdays but that's one of their busiest days, even in the morning. I do like they sell sushi, dim sum, buns, bbq meats, Vietnamese subs and salad rolls, and the prepared Chinese dishes. For less than the food court, one could get soup, rice, and two, three, or four items. Often there is enough food in the two items for me to share. I like the lemon chicken, beef brisket, bean curd, and tofu with bbq pork. In the fresh meat department and produce sections, I find the prices are cheaper than most grocery stores. The packaged meat can be very expensive though, last time I check chicken breast was more than $7/lb! I like the rice combos but I don't always like to eat in the seating area. It can be quite dirty as there's not always enough staff to clean up. The garbage area is disgusting but I shouldn't expect more for where garbage is placed. read more

This place is so great for a quick bite to eat on the run at the mall or to bring home a few groceries if you've been out and about at West Ed. Be careful of the prices because some things are greatly overpriced but you will also find some steals of a deal! For me, this is probably the best thing about visiting West Edmonton Mall! I LOVE strolling the aisles here & checking out the amazing items they offer. There's an incredible selection of seafood, meat, produce, cosmetics and dry goods. But the real star of the show is the bakery and prepared food area. Delicious soups, rice bowls, steam buns, donuts, dumplings, hot smorg, salad rolls, chilled items and the list goes on! You can pick and choose as much as you want or enjoy a few select items. Today I enjoyed: Pork ribs with black bean sauce, they were tender and delicious. BBQ pork steam bun, fresh and tasty! Lemon & Honey juice, which was refreshing and not too sweet. Last but not least a Portuguese egg tart! A warm tart with creamy custard in a buttery, flaky crust. My favourite decadent treat. Absolutely to die for! You need this in your life. read more

This place has lots lots to see and feel like you walk into Chinatown. But the issues I encountered are: 1) the sushi rice doesn't taste like sushi rice. I m sure they don't use sushi rice to make sushi coz it is mushy. Sobeys has the best sushi. 2) I thought that I bought FRESH prawns/shrimp that were not frozen. in the freezer, I bought them from TnT workers where they sold fresh seafood, and at that time I thought they were fresh, I found out I have been cheated on. Thinking if I wasn't buying frozen then the seafood is fresh. However after cooking, the prawns were mushy. They weren't fresh. One time I bought a frozen prawn in a box at TnT and after cooking they were so mushy that we couldn't eat them. 3) my mom bought fresh fish that was not frozen. She placed in fridge right away. And the next day the fish meat turn very dark. My mom was wondering and telling me she bought it fresh and not frozen, why meat turned dark. 4) Their steamed buns are not fresh chicken meat . The filling is from the chicken meat can. I m sure anything gonna expired or gonna rotten from TnT store, they sell them to us, cheating on us and making us think they are fresh. So watch out what you buy there. I will still shop there coz they are other stuff I like But I ain't going buy fresh prawns shrimps and fish that are laying on the crushed ice from TnT anymore. I usually go to T&T at West Ed if I need my Asian groceries and can't find them at my local Superstore. Chances are, T&T always has whatever I'm looking for. It's often really packed, because it's the main big Asian grocery store in town. Even though it's fairly big, I'm amazed they can squeeze in so much in one area. The store has a sushi counter where you can also pick up pre-cooked meals to go. I get some of this stuff when I'm lazy and don't want to cook, and you can usually find it marked down if you go in the evening. They also have a bakery, deli and meats counter, and a dim sum counter where you can purchase hot dim sum and eat it right there in their little eating area. They also have many sample counters out during the weekend mornings and afternoons. I usually like to try these, as they're often quite tasty and things I wouldn't normally think to buy. Sometimes they're all out of what I need -- usually fish balls, for some reason -- but their Asian fruits are frequently cheaper and fresher than what I can find at Superstore. I also like to see what items I can get in the bakery for marked down prices; usually I can score something really good, like a small package of cheesecake or rice cake. T&T also has a bubble tea shop located just inside one of its entrances, the one leading to the parking lot. I don't usually go to this one though, as I prefer Dream Tea bubbletea, which is available outside T&T's other entrance to the mall. And good news for everyone on the north side of town! T&T will be opening up a new location at Northgate Town Centre sometime next year, so you won't have to trek all the way to WEM for your Asian groceries. I say, it's about time! read more

Shopping here is an interesting experience. I always find something I've never seen or heard of before. My husband and I keep telling ourselves we're going to go in one day, and buy everything we need for supper, but it's going to be things we have no idea what they are, or how to cook them. Yeah, one of these days. There's an endless variety of cool things to investigate, just pick a section. I like the Meat Department, with their variety of fresh, frozen and live foods. I actually like the way it smells. It smells like fish and seafood, but not of rotting meat or bleach. I feel the need to point out, if certain meat products offend you, you might want to be wary. Some things you find might gross you out or upset you. My husband found whole frozen turtle today, shell and all. I keep finding more foods I love. I just stocked up on packages of instant miso soup, and frozen seaweed salad. I forgot to grab some, but another of my favorites is the green tea flavored Aero bites. LOVE those! Something else I should remind myself of is their hot and cold food to go. You can get Dim Sum, rice dishes, Udon, green onion cake,sushi and of course sashimi. There's so much more. I always forget that I can just grab reasonably priced sashimi for lunch...and maybe a whole roasted duck for dinner! read more

T&T Supermarket has come a long way when it comes to their baked goods. They've improved their texture and designs, which is wonderful. We ordered a small 10" chestnut cake for $30 (minus 10% for ordering it early). It was delicious - fresh cream, light and spongy, and you could taste the chestnut. We ordered it for Christmas and asked for a Christmas themed cake and they threw on decorations, including the edible snowman. They also have these flavoured Swiss rolls for about $4-$6. I've tried the lychee and passion fruit rolls and they you can take the fruit in the cream. Their buns are fresh tasting too. Buy 6 or more and they don't count tax. They have a wide variety of breads - we normally get the raisin wheel loaf to toast at home and apply butter. T&T Supermarket bakery goods are a good competition for Garden Bakery inside WEM, as well as the other bakery places in Chinatown. read more

T&T Supermarket, an Asian grocery store, is one of the best and most interesting stores at West Edmonton Mall. I go here mainly out of curiosity--to find unusual and interesting food items. The beverage aisle is full of interesting, sugary treats in tiny tin cans and uniquely shaped glass bottles. I once got a drink that had the weirdest spout. I never really figured out how to use it properly, but it did come with a cool blue glass marble. (I'd like to add that I could have easily choked on this, but it was still cool anyways.) There's quite a few aisles full of all kinds of other sugary treats like cookies, jelly candies, hard candies, and chocolate. I usually choose a candy that has really neat package--that really stands out. I also find it amusing, when I find a package with misspellings or bad grammar. This store has the staples of many grocery stores: bakery, deli, hot take-out food, meat & fish market, frozen foods, dairy, snacks, and produce. The produce section has items you won't find at regular grocery stores, like lotus roots and longan fruit. I like to take pictures in this store, and one time this customer caught me. She pointed at me and said, "No, no, no, no!!!" I think she thought I was a spy or something. The most interesting item I ever found here was strawberry-flavoured beef or pork jerky. I really wanted to try it, but it was kind of expensive, but beef jerky always is. The prices at T&T are actually really reasonable, and they have good sales on each week. This market is enormous and it has everything you could need for Asian cooking but it is so much more than that. From the enormous fish market, to the best takeout sushi and bubble tea, out! I eat a lot of Asian food but I don't really cook it, so the deli section is a winner for me. I like the seafood section as the prices can quite good if they have promo on. Service can be hit or miss and some people will just walk by and offer no help. When it comes to transit accessible Asian grocery stores, T&T Supermarket in West Edmonton Mall certainly fits the bill. While I'm occasionally overwhelmed by the options (and often only buy things if my purchases are actually planned in advance) this is a great place to stop for treats (like Pocky or a steam bun or mochi or something) and they do have a sushi section (but I honestly prefer actual sushi restaurants -- even the mediocre ones -- to grocery store sushi, even when there's this much variety here). I like the variety of fruits and veggies, noodles, and other staple foods that are harder to acquire in more mainstream supermarkets. That said pricing can be variable, and it often feels like a bit of a foreign experience if you're used to shopping at more mainstream supermarkets, so be prepared for things to be a bit different. Staff are generally pretty friendly. I once volunteered at a charitable gift wrap in this location and they were really great while we were there. I always wish that it carried more Japanese foods but it's not a Japanese supermarket, rather it focuses more on Chinese foods even though it carries foods from all over Asia as well as foods that are available more commonly in North American and elsewhere. read more

Ever since T&T opened, there has been very little need to go to downtown Chinatown. Why walk from store to store and fight off city bums and that funky smell then I can just come here? T&T is a one-stop shopping destination for my Asian cooking needs. T&T has pretty much everything you could look for when cooking Asian. Their fish is very fresh and you can see your fish swimming around in their tanks, along with lobsters, mussels, eels and other sea animals (see pictures). The meat here is also very good- their bbq is tender and savory. They also have a good selection of fresh vegetables and fruit: whether familiar items like apples, pears, oranges , broccoli, carrots, to more exotic items like dragonfruit, Chinese pears, seaweed, and other items. I like the selection of asian spices and sauces available here, and my preferred brand of rice and noodles is also stocked here. I like the sushi section and the recently added dim-sum section. It's great how you can buy something and eat it right away. The prices here are reasonable, especially when they start discounting their items in the late afternoon to get it off their shelf (after all, sushi needs to be eaten fresh). They also have a great bakery section with an assortment of pastries and stuffed-buns, and their cake selection is very impressive and flashy. This place can get very busy during the weekends, but it is worth it coming here and finding everything in one location. It might be unfortunate for the Chinatown downtown, but this place is much closer for me, and their prices are very competitive as well. read more

I LOVE T&T!!! I love ethnic food markets but this one is so much more. They have several different ready-to-eat counters - the one along the wall near the bakery has a fantastic selection of food - you have to try the beef brisket stew with vegetable (can't remember what vegetable it is, could be Chinese carrot - and be warned - the meat is a little fatty and chewy but that it's my favourite), or spicy shrimp (I don't even bother taking the shell off), or try one of their barbeque combos, which is what I did today - got a mound of rice, veggies, a soy chicken leg, a good chunk of Chinese bbq pork, and a bowl of hot&sour soup, for only $6.99!! Can't beat that price for the amount of food you get! Their sushi is ok - the spicy salmon roll is the best, and they have pretty good salmon sashimi and a pretty good chirashi bowl. They also have really good congee (I don't know what the seasoning is but it's soooo tasty), and chicken teriyaki bowls. They also make a ready-to-go series that are different kinds of foods packaged in a little aluminum container and wrapped in plastic wrap, that you can bring home, steam for 20 minutes, and it's ready. My personal favourite is the black bean garlic spare ribs - better than what you get at dim sum - it's awesome with a bowl of steamed jasmine rice. The chicken feet and beef tripe are also very good, just like you would get at dim sum. T&T is great for getting Chinese fruits, veggies, spices, weird cuts of meat (lots of organ meats), everything! They also carry Korean, Japanese, etc food stuff. Oh you can also buy bags of chicken and pork bones, which are great for making stock. Lots of live fish as well - they have great deals on the weekend on crab and lobster. So my point is... go!! It's awesome! read more

Honestly I don't cook and I don't even buy anything from here because of that fact but if I did I think I would shop here often. They have so many unique things that you just can't find elsewhere. They also have a seafood department where you can find fresh fish, crab, shrimp, etc. They also carry great sauces and noodles that look like they would make great meals. They carry sweet chilli sauce which is great to recreate sweet chilli chicken. Since it opened in West Edmonton Mall it has become more popular by the year and it makes sense. It offers ingredients not readily available at the regular supermarket. If you are looking to get creative with your cooking and switch things up this is a great place to start. read more

This is the first place that I went to after checking into the Fantasyland hotel. My family and I immediately went to the pastries and slowly browsed each isle of the store. There is a wide variety of Asian foods, Asian cosmetics (yay!), seafood, dried goods, fresh foods, dim sum, etc. The prices are fair. I say this in reference to where I live....we live in Hawaii and I am certain that many of the Asian cosmetics sold here are cheaper--that is more than likely because of the US $ to CAD $ exchange rate. I came to visit my kids in Edmonton 30+ days ago. As they live next to the Edmonton Mall I loved shopping there as there is a good variety of things you wont find in a traditional grocery store. As I am a full time traveller and only here until the second week in July, I have to ask, whats up with wearing masks these past few weeks when none were needed through-out 80 of the pandemic. A friend of mine decided that she wanted to make a Japanese soup, so naturally she came to her only Japanese friend for advice. While I probably could have supplied her with the necessary ingredients from my own kitchen, I figured it would be better for her if she learned what to look for in case I'm not around to help her in the future. So, off to T&T we went. Gotta be honest, from my perspective, walking through that store isn't any different than heading off to Sobey's or Save On; I don't think of it as an "Asian" grocery store, I just think of it as a grocery store. However, watching mi amigo wandering through the store with her eyes almost popping out of her head was rather enlightening, and made me do some serious thinking about just how amazing this store is. Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian - this store has it all. I do a lot of cooking (again, to me it's not "Japanese" food, it's just food), and it's nice to be able to find everything I need in one place instead of running the gauntlet of the other Asian grocery stores in town. In keeping with the honesty, I will not buy any meat or fish from this store - knowing what I do about the food safety practices in some parts of Asia, I just won't risk it. Dry goods, produce, and packaged/frozen stuff, yes. Meat and fish, hell no. Oh, and since some folks care about this sort of thing, I find the prices to be reasonable for the items that I tend to buy. This is my go to Asian supermarket. It's conveniently located in WEM above bourbon street and so easily accessible from both the parkade and the mall. In addition to the huge supermarket, they also have a bubble tea and pho place attached. I can find almost anything I want here. From spices to dry goods to produce and seafood, this T&T has it all. They even have a bakery and fresh dim sum stand! They have imports from all over Asia and their prices are very comparable. Walking into this shop feels like I walked into a different country. They have switched things up from when I was there last! They have a dedicated area for Dim Sum and Teppanyaki. The hot food is now self serve. There is a dedicated bubble tea shop located near the back doors and a herbalist. I have always loved the "variety meat", the fresh produce and the fresh seafood. A one-stop shopping experience for all of the strange things that I like to make for us to eat at home. They have a lot of the herbs and produce that is hard to find for a lot of Asian based recipes. The BBQ is not the best I have had, but it is convenient to get for a lunch on the go. The sushi is one of my favourites. You can get sashimi and all of the ingredients to make it yourself at home, or all of the prepared offerings for sushi, maki, cones etc. I just love that it is all ready to go and a quick, healthy option for lunch or dinner. The bakery is amazing. I like that everything isn't "sicky sweet" like we are used to normally. They have cute cartoon character cakes and lots of options for single servings as well as whole cakes. There is a specialty area for the BBQ pork buns etc as well. I always like to take home something new. One of my favourite things about living in Toronto was shopping in Chinatown. It's no street market, but T&T is the best Edmonton has to offer on this front. It's huge, well stocked with Asian groceries of all sorts and provides a welcome respite from the repetitive, commercially bland shops of West Edmonton Mall. I came here bright & early today (Friday morning), when the store opened at 9am. There were quite a few people already waiting to enter, and as it turns out, they were waiting mostly to get their daily Chinese paper from the store, before heading back out. T&T offers pretty much a one-stop shop for all your asian grocery-related needs! This location, and the Northtown location are my first choices when getting groceries for those reasons. The great thing about going early is the lack of crowds of course, as it can get extremely busy with tons of people shopping & eating here. The problem with going early is that many of the ready-to-eat foods are actually not ready (including the bbq-meats) so if you were hoping to get certain foods to go early in the day, you're out of luck. They have fresh produce, veggies, seafood, breads and pastries. Ready-to-eat items include a variety of sushi-related items, rice bowls, dim sum, Chinese fast food, Vietnamese salad rolls, Chinese cold salads, hot noodle bowls, congee & steamed buns. If you're not familiar with Asian grocery stores, then this place will be quite the eye opener I suspect. I remember going through a weird ramen-obsessed phase right after high school. I went to a boarding school and most of the kids on my floor were from Taiwan. They had THE craziest ramen straight out of Taiwan with THE craziest flavors. I came back home for the holidays and tracked down where I could find the same ramen in Edmonton. Enter T&T Supermarket. For me, going to T&T Supermarket is like stepping into Asia, without leaving the city. I find a lot of Asian groceries on the shelves, many of which I have never seen before. There are loads of pre-cooked foods and prepared sushi to grab and go. You can also find western items here as well. I especially like looking at all the snack foods -- one day I am going to get brace and actually try something. Update on TT supermarket. They have renovated the store,especially the takeout food area so that you no longer stand in line to get the buffet type items .You serve yourself from a steam table and pay by weight. Big improvement. read more

My mom bought something some meat from the meat department and when she opened it the next it turned bad and smelled so bad. Since it was only 2.98 why bother return it to the store. They should be checking their fridges. read more

I dislike the the same bland taste that their little buffet place. I dislike the service I receive when I'm there cuz nobody is really helpful they all seem to hate their jobs. I don't believe they have ever heard of a smile. But if your in Ottawa, check out the TNT supermarket there! It's great. Another thing about TNT in west Ed is those darn lines when it gets about as busy as a 7eleven, 5 minutes in a line isn't pleasant, but I'll five them this. Their selection is good. 1 star for their selection, 2nd star for it being convenient in the mall when you work in the mall. read more
