Pretty cool place to go with a couple of friends. I really enjoy a NY style pizza because of the thinner dough and this place delivers nice huge, foldable slices. The marghie is my absolute favorite and I recommend you try it when you go. The sweetness from the balsamic vinegar is addicting and they offer a cheap two slice deal which is a plus. On my visit I also tried the Garfield's lasagna which was the monthly pizza and although it seemed like a good pick it fell short in the flavor department. The pasta on the dough was bland and the sauce was lacking and that's why this rating is only a 4 star. Other than that I really like the environment and the customer service (quick and friendly). Again, try the marghie! read more

Lucky Slice Pizza - Marghie and Garfield's lasagna pizza - Pizza Near Me - Ogden, Utah

Just left Lucky slice with our pizzas that we love but once again, let down by the service ! every time it's something we waited 45 to 50 minutes because they forgot to make our pizzas after we ordered them ! be nice if they got some people that had some brains to work there once in a while! read more

Lucky Slice is great they have great pizza there they have so much to choose from. And what I love it that they have a monthly pizza and that is great so you have something new to try I definitely recommend it. Thank you Lucky Slice! read more

How this place has 4 stars, I have no idea... I ordered a 14" pepperoni pizza, half garlic white sauce and half classic marinara. The white sauce had no real flavor and just dissolved into the bread. It seemed like that half of the pizza had no sauce at all. The marinara sauce was just kind of bleh. I asked for 2 containers of ranch. Was told they are 50 cents a piece. Ok, you don't charge me for ketchup, mustard, Parmesan, red pepper flakes or any other condiments but for ranch, ya gotta pay for that, but alright. I bring back a dollar, ask for 2 containers of ranch and a different person says "ummmm it's $1.06." Wow this place is gonna nickel and dime me, alright fine. The ranch tastes like pepper flavored milk. The pizza crust was so crunchy I couldn't eat it. 1 star because Dr. pepper soda saved the day. read more

Everything a pizza and a pizzeria should be. Their pizza is thin crispy and never overcooked.

My nephew and I were traveling through as we crossed the country. Neither of us had been to Ogden before as we usually passed the town up for a later stop in Salt Lake City. But this time, we decided to mix it up and booked an AirBNB on the edge of downtown. Before rolling in, we had researched the dining options for dinner and we saw that there was a Pie Pizzeria location in town. Both of us were familiar with this regional favorite, having been to the original location across from Utah State in Salt Lake. We had enjoyed that experience and were content to trust even a strip mall knockoff. But, merely as a formality, I skimmed the recommendations here on Yelp before we headed out. I also asked our local host for a referral. Turns out, both resources gave the same instructions: "Point the car toward Lucky Slice"! Let me report: Lucky Slice is a Local Legend for a reason! Great crust, perfectly balanced flavor for the pizza sauce, unique combinations of premium toppings, a good chew, low prices! This pizza has it all. WE were the "Lucky" ones! So glad we discovered a new favorite when passing through the area. read more

Great spot for pizza. It has a fantastic atmosphere with very friendly and welcoming staff. And then there is the food. Everything on the menu is amazing and a great eat for the price. I like how there are monthly and daily pizza flavors so there is always something fun to try. It's also nice how they are open late (for Utah). 10/10 recommend. read more

I love New York style pizza, and it looked like it was going to be perfect, however, there was something lacking. Not sure if it was because of the dough or the toppings. But I probably would try another spot if I return to the area in the future. After thought: I really think there was something off about the dough- the texture wasn't right. Kind of like something that would be gluten free. . ‍ read more

Lucky Slice Pizza - Large Mushroom Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Ogden, Utah

Real pizza seems to be a real challenge in Utah. This place is hands down the best pizza here. Never had a bad slice and the staff has always been super friendly. Has that real east coast thin style. I don't know if another place doing it here. If you do let me know but in the meantime five stars for lucky slice. read more

Lucky slice definitely has the best pizza. Their pizza rivals and surpasses famous pizza joints in New York City. The reason for their greatness lies in these 3 elements: 1. Taste - one of the most important things when eating out is obviously having good food. Lucky slice has that nailed! Their pizza is delicious, they use quality and fresh ingredients, and have really creative toppings on their pizza. They also have other great options on their menu. I ate their chocolate chip cookie and thought it was one of the best cookies I have ever had, only to find out later that it was vegan. 2. Customer service - Their customer service is awesome as well. You can tell that upper management trains their employees well and takes care of them. I have always been helped right away by their kind employees. 3. Restaurant ambiance - The restaurant on 25th street has a very cool vibe. They have an arcade game you can play while you wait and chalk board walls you can doodle on as well. There have done a good job at fitting a lot of seating into a smaller space without making it feel way too crowded. The old exposed brick on the walls is really awesome too. Overall it is one of the best restaurant in town! I highly recommend eating here! read more

Pizza here is light and delicious but nothing special due to very low amounts of cheese and toppings.

We love lucky slice! Weather it's pizza by the slice or the whole pizza pie, they do not disappoint. Their salads are good, the chicken wings are good, the bread sticks are good and their rice crispy treat is pretty good also. Solid pizza place and a go to for a quick and tasty meal. read more

I asked for extra wet wings, and I'm dripping. Best service ever. Super quick delivery. Bang for your buck. Highly recommended read more

Lucky Slice Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Ogden, Utah

3.5 stars... Stopped in for a slice or two while listening to the street performers band. Had the slice of the day, topped with all the bruschetta ingredients...very tasty! The only criticism was that it should have been left in the oven a bit longer...I didn't realize it until I took a bite, and then it's too late to put it back in to crisp up a bit more. Good beverage selection(I tried a root beer) and I enjoyed the local artists fare hanging on the wall. Ambiance is college pizzeria, prices are in line with expectation, and service is standard counter fare. This joint doesn't make the list on first try, but I'm more than willing to give it another go next time I'm in town... read more

Paid $4 extra for vegan cheese (compared to the regular New Yorker) and this is just the saddest pizza I have ever seen. If you're vegan, choose a different pizza place. read more

Lucky Slice Pizza - NYV sadness - Pizza Near Me - Ogden, Utah

Best East coast thin slice pizza north of SLC. The price is horrendous- bought two pizzas and paid $58 after tax. FIFTY EIGHT DOLLARS. Used to be a five star but that price makes it less desirable. read more

I've been here a couple times before, and waiting about 15-20 for a slice is usual, but tonight was the exception. Not only did it take almost 50 minutes for my family to get 3 slices, but when we asked to speak to the manager regarding the wait time after we watched four people behind us get their food, eat, and leave, we were told our pizzas were almost done. When we were FINALLY handed our slices, we were just told sorry.... I don't know if they were unprepared for the harvest thingy going on tonight, but the wait time, service, AND quality of pizza was horrible. My daughters pizza was so burnt on the bottom she took one bite and refused to eat more. I'm all for supporting small businesses but for how much I pay, I think I deserve better quality food. At least I know when I go to little Caesars I can get a whole pie for 5$ and know what I'm getting, while here I pay over that for 3 slices and roll the dice on quality. Lucky slice needs to up their management, service, and quality game before I consider dining here again read more

Went their for lunch during a business trip. I ordered a few pizza slices, a salad and a drink. The pizza was like warm and tasted pretty plain. The salad was ok and the soda flat. So if this was a cheap lunch, I might have just thought, well, low cost food, probably explains it, but this was not cheap, the food was pretty expensive. In any case, maybe I just hit it at a bad time, but based on the experience, I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Best service and pizza! Very lay back environment

Let me first say that I am not a "pizza person". I don't usually want pizza for any meal. BUT NOW THAT MY EYES HAVE BEEN OPENED TO LUCKY SLICE I AM HOOOOOKED. Going in and grabbing a slice of pizza was EASY! And the prices are great! The slices are HUGE and felt more like 2 slices of pizza at once! I have never desired to eat a pizza so big that you need to fold in in half but now that I have, I cant go back. Well done Lucky Slice!!! read more

Amazing food haven't ever had about experience highly recommended for me by family and other people

This place has a new location since I come here last year. It's expanded to including a much bigger seating area. They are located right in the middle old town and they specialize in slices but also have salads and wings. They have a few vegan options on the pizza menu and offer also vegan wings made of cauliflower. I've tried three of the vegan pizza offerings and they are pretty good. They do a thinner NY style pizza which I appreciate as I'm not into a lot of bread in my pizza. They do not follow normal protocol with their toppings just an FYI. They will mix all kinds of ethnicities from BBQ Hawaiian to Indian and mix it up with a USA Americana style w/bacon to give you a pizza from all sides of the globe. Overall I liked the pizzas but I will say I'm a bit of a traditionalist so these pizzas go a little to the "left" of my persuasion but hey I definitely partake as they still are overall tasty. They have a combo meal with soda and salad but I've always passed as I don't do soda anymore. If that's your thing then it's a deal. Other than that this is a good spot to get a slice of vegan or non-vegan offerings in the area that will not break the bank. Pretty decent overall. read more

While I never have good luck ordering an entire pizza Whenever I go in for a slice or two it is always delicious. They just need to be more consistent with the crust when ordering a full pizza! Super fun that they always have a pizza of the month! read more

Great pizza! Much better if you eat inside to enjoy the restaurant and fresh hot food . I've been coming here for 4 years.

I've been to Slack Water numerous times over the past few years, it's great to have a place to buy pizza at in downtown Ogden especially when they have a great beer selection. My knock on this place is the food seems to be inconsistent. One day the pizza will be fresh and hot with chewy crust, the next its crispy and over cooked. The service is also suspect sometimes, sometimes the wait for a slice is 2 minutes after ordering, other times 15 minutes. This is a fine place for a slice when you're out on the town, inconsistent product and service are what brings its rating down a little in my humble opinion. read more

Pizza is delicious and the atmosphere and location are amazing. Nestled on historic 25th street makes for a nice walk before or after.

This place was better before they moved across the street. Now the pizzas aren't any better than the cheaper competition. It's mostly the crust--like it's not getting proofed long enough. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars thus far... I've been in Ogden alot this last little bit doing some consulting and Lucky Slice has been very consistent. The crust was solid for a thin crisp sliced pie. The sauce is the only thing that I'll complain about and that's just because it'd be nice to have a smidgen more. But for SLC locals it's very comparable to the pie hole. There are daily choices/specials plus standard selections and all are on point for the style of pizza they offer. The staff is great here, the service is fast and they have an ok beer selection. The patio is nice and accommodating with it's surprising size. If you find yourself on 25th street pay them a visit. read more

They serve a variety of pizzas and breadsticks, including daily specials. The pizza is thin crust and the slices are huge! I tried the Margherita and Cheese. The Margherita had balsamic reduction which added a lot of flavor. Service was fast and the restaurant has a nice, relaxed atmosphere also with patio and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is comparable to the Pie in Salt Lake City. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in Ogden! read more

First time in Ogden, ordered pickup 30 mins before closing. Took a shot on these guys bot really knowing what to expect and WOW! The pizza was phenomenal (could be a little crispier in the crust, but I'm not complaining at all). Great taste, not super greasy. The boneless nugz (sidenote love that they don't call them boneless wings) were super crispy. We got bbq and hot honey, toss up between which we liked better because they were both so good! The breadsticks were phenomenal as well. All in all the experience was great. Will be back in Ogden at my first opportunity and this will 100% be my first and last stop! Also, can't believe the prices! Great deal for a great meal! read more

Typed "Quick Lunch" into the yelp search criteria and found this fantastic pizza place. Girl gets hungry working and needs sustenance and needs it fast. Great east coast style pizza. Thin crust and high quality toppings. Outdoor seating, fountain sodas, lots of slices to choose from...or order a pie of your own. They make their salad dressings from scratch every morning. Service was friendly and Girl leaves happy. I can't really ask for much else. read more

I've been here quite a few times, those lonely Saturday nights (or Sunday early mornings at 1:30am), on my days off, with friends, with coworkers. I just haven't had time to review.. Let me just clarify, THIS IS THE BEST DARN PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD! My reasons for such, let's dissect this like I do some things in class, the ideal specimen: the margherita. The crust: The CRUST! I have no clue if it's the yeast they use, the flour, the water or simply just because it's so thin I don't know and when you think it about it, heck why does it matter that crust will change your life! It's tender, chewy, fluffy, crunchy, and a bit yeasty. A complex contradiction. The toppings: The marinara that is used on this specimen is minimal. It's really tasty with the smells of oregano, basil, acidic tomatoes and just a bit garlicy, but they know modesty. The cheese is perfectly leveled and not overpowering at all. The finishing drizzle of balsamic. Oh I wanna cry. The crust, marinara, balsamic and cheese set the stage for the real stars. Who might the real stars be you say? THE REAL TOMATOES AND BASIL THEY USE! The tomatoes are cut into perfect size where the heat will penetrate them enough to get the sugars flowing, not into giant slabs where the tomatoes won't even warm, but not small enough where the heat will turn them into sauce. Then the basil. That basil is fresh, aromatic and not either mediocre nor overpowering. The perfect balance. I am biased and every time I eat any other margherita pizza anywhere, I compare it to Lucky's. And none has hit that perfect 10 note that this one delivers. I have had other pizzas from Lucky's but if something works, why replace it? I LOVE the fact they have Boylans, and local drinks, the atmosphere is wonderful, all their workers are rad.. Now lemme tell you some cons.. Their beer selection, for being a pizza pub is pretty mediocre. A wings spot down the road has a wider selection. I had their draft Sum R Ale and full suspension pale ale, they were good but their beer menu could vastly increase knowing that their rival down Washington has an 8 page beer menu that even has CHIMAY! Expand the beers, and just wish they had more seating inside! Other than that let me finish with these words.. Lemme tell ya, I'll eat this pizza on the curb. It is that GOOD! read more

We ordered take out and I loved the pizza. For some reason our kids hated it but for me I could eat this everyday. I love the carnivore. The meats are good quality, just the right amount of sauce, and I love the thin crust. My wife ordered a combo I think and she loved it. We split a third piece but I'm not sure the name of it but it was pretty good. The breadsticks are so good here. Nice and soft. The slices are huge so you are getting a good deal. The pizza was mostly just crust. The large wasn't worth $14 because the crust was large but it had extra small pizza size toppings.
