I called in and asked if I could come in to get a quick fix. Cobbler said to come on in, he fixed it in about fifteen minutes! The fix was inexpensive considering the annoying squeak was gone!! I walked around in amazement at all the shoes being repaired and the cool machines used to fix them. Nice to see a business that gives items a new life. I love hopping into the high seats for a shine and some good conversation! They also perform all of the typical shoe enhancement and repair services (e.g. re-soles, cleaning, stretching, etc.). One thing to keep in mind is that this is a small, family-run business, not a big alteration shop. The women here, including the grandmother who is still working, put so much care into every garment. Sometimes turnaround times are a little longer, but I'd much rather wait a bit for careful, quality craftsmanship than have something rushed. They also carry beautiful Vietnamese traditional dresses, wedding attire, skincare products, and other specialty items.

He's also been practicing his craft long enough that he knows the best specialty people for the things he doesn't do himself, so you can be confident the job -- whether cleaning, repair or alteration - will be done RIGHT. He's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. And it takes a little effort to get to his shop on the north side of Southcenter, in the shoe repair shop next to Macy's, but it is worth it.
