I called in and asked if I could come in to get a quick fix. Cobbler said to come on in, he fixed it in about fifteen minutes! The fix was inexpensive considering the annoying squeak was gone!! I walked around in amazement at all the shoes being repaired and the cool machines used to fix them. Nice to see a business that gives items a new life. I purchased a very high quality shoe polish and wax for my boots. I would recommend Broadway shoe rapid to anyone in the area! Great people working wonders inside, super friendly and knowledgeable.

Maybe he felt bad for my hobbling in with uneven heels. :) I don't understand the bad reviews. The man (Kenny? Jamie?) was not effervescently friendly, but pleasant and willing to help. The price was a little high, but I was not surprised, given that it's downtown Seattle and he did the repair while I waited on a stool in my stocking feet. I learned that he took over the store after his dad had operated it for 20-something years. It's clear he takes pride in his business. The location is a little confusing on the Yelp map. You enter through a promenade off 2nd Ave, near the intersection with Seneca. They usually have a sign on the sidewalk, shown in the Google maps photo I uploaded. I'll gladly return here if I need shoe repair help in the future.

I have a pair of nice (somewhat expensive) Italian-made chelsea boots and I went to see Angel…read morebecause the leather soles had started to wear through and the heels were rapidly wearing away. Angel was just great. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and very clear about what different options I had to repair the boots. He replaced the heels and the front part of the main soles with rubber-- and while I was a bit skeptical that rubber would still look good on the boots, they ended up looking FANTASTIC! Angel obviously has a great attention to detail and really cares about the quality of his work. I am so happy with how my boots look now. I can't recommend Angel's Shoe Repair highly enough!! One tip-- call ahead about the hours for Angel's shop. They vary a bit and he is sometimes open as late as 7 p.m.

These boots have a special pink metallic finish that I am unsure of how to fix. The owner tried to cover up his mistake with shiny brown paint, which is ineffective. He's never been a friendly guy, but he's gotten progressively grumpier and ruder over the years and acts as if a simple request to add protectors will take an act of god. But in the end he does fine cobbler work and that's all that matters, right? When I brought the last pair to him, he made sure to tell me the shoes I bought are "a nightmare", apparently because he didn't like the style lol. Today I brought him a brand new pair of loafers and he balked and said no, he couldn't add protectors because the soles "aren't leather" and if they peel off it's not on him. Okay, Jim, sure. You have one job and apparently you can't do it. He's the absolute worst.

I dropped them off and was given an estimate, but it was ready way before the estimated time. I was given a slip to retrieve my shoes when I checked out which I easily did after they texted me that my shoes were ready for pickup. I even texted back saying I was out of town and they replied saying it was no problem and to get it whenever I was back. It looks nice and secure and I can't wait to wear them for summer!
