Jack's is absolutely amazing to work with! We hired her and her lovely rescues for an intimate family gathering. She was able to customize a small package for us, with bunnies and guinea pigs. Jack's was super attentive with our autistic son, her patience and understanding allowed our son to enjoy the furry friends. The birthday girl's day was made, and all the children, including those of us with our inner child, had a phenomenal time! We highly recommend them for your next gathering!

We hired Lucky Jack's for our daughter's first birthday party and it was so much fun!!! The animals were adorable and definitely well loved. Jacks was professional and passionate about her rescue which I loved. She was easy to communicate with too. I definitely recommend her petting zoo!!

We loved having Lucky Jacks' Rescue Ranch at our son's birthday party. They came a little early and set up everything. They helped the children care for and pet a wide selection of animals. Their friendliness and joy throughout the day made the petting zoo such a nice treat. We also had a couple of autistic kids at the party, and this was engaging and therapeutic for them. I highly recommend you hire them for your next kids' party!

We used jacks boarding for our dog Buddy on a Friday-Monday and were so happy with our experience. She was so friendly and explained everything thoroughly about what we could expect for Buddy's stay. Meet and greet went great where should showed us the accommodations and Buddy got to familiarize with the area. While we were gone she sent updates and pictures of Buddy. Overall we were super happy, and it's always nice to feel at ease and know that our fur baby is taken care of while we were away.

To know especially that these are rescued animals and are being taken care of so carefully, giving us the privilege of being able to give them our love as well, it was a heartwarming experience. Plenty of free parking available right infront of the sanctuary. There is a cute little shop attached to the sanctuary, where you can buy their handmade truffle chocolates which are so delicious (coming from someone who isn't a fan of truffle chocolates), fresh farm eggs, honey, and other delicacies. With your zoo "ticket" you get 2 free samples of their chocolates and a hefty bag of feed for the animals. The animals are mostly in their own pens, with some together. There's even a couple of the pigs you'll find out of pens, just hanging out on the property, laying beside the building. You're able to go into the tortoise pen and feed/pet him as well, 2 people at a time inside the pen, as he does get anxious. You're not able to feed all of the animals, but for the most part you can. Each pen has a sign for which animals are ok to feed/pet and which are not. They are very calm and friendly, as long as you are too. They take the feed very gently and don't bite your fingers. On the weekends they offer pizza made fresh for the visitors, and have plenty of covered outdoor seating options to enjoy. They also offer wine tasting, but we did not partake, as we had just left a winery, but I'm sure it is quite enjoyable as well. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area and it's a 5 minute drive from the wineries!

It's probably better in the fall/winter since there's no shade and the sun was hot. Most of the cages didn't have names or descriptions on the animal's story, which would've helped improve the experience. We couldn't see the tortoise since he was in his house and no one was around to let us in the pen. The chocolate truffles are great; we bought some of those.

It's right off of Carson Street across the street from the Town Center more so across from Sam's Club. It is hidden and it's a perfect hidden gem for little ones. Of course, because I was feeding goats & sheep at Barnyard Buddies…read more For $6 admission (at the time)(Groupon deals, as well), visitors to Barnyard Buddies can feed goats & sheep, and pet various animals. Buying a medium sized container of feed was more than enough, IMHO. Visitors are required to feed only the goats & sheep from the other side of the enclosure. Without feed, visitors can enter the closure & pet/brush the animals. Besides the goats & sheep, there are 2 pigs, chickens, and in a separate enclosure, emus & a cow. No access allowed to those, however. Pony rides are an option for little kids. The ride is around an oval track. There is also a playground area to burn up some energy. A few handwashing stations on premises to stay hygienic during your visit. Barnyard Buddies is an accessible nearby barnyard experience. I was lucky enough to grow up around chickens, so I'm not new to livestock. It's my firm belief kids should be around animals, and know where their food comes from, whether it be eggs, milk and/or meat. While not a place I'd recommend traveling large distances to visit, for those nearby or whom happen to be in the area, Barnyard Buddies is a wonderful opportunity to feed enthusiastically hungry goats & sheep, and brush plump piggies. Highly recommend!

I decided to spend part of my birthday here, formerly Zoomars…read more Back when I visited aaaaages ago, I remember Zoomars being half the size RSR is now, and the animals ran amok. I'll preface this by saying I'm a house rabbit owner. The old setup stressed me out with the bunnies running around being grabbed and picked up by everyone and poked and prodded by kids when they clearly were trying to hide. The new setup? I was happily surprised to hear the bunnies weren't out for the day due to the weather. They can suffer heatstroke and are sensitive to hot weather (mine are spoiled and live in 73-69° daily). So no bunnies out suffering the heat? That's so awesome! Thanks for caring RSR! I got to love on the Guinea pigs who had room to run, while someone would pick them up and place them in a bin beside me, tell me their name, approx age, and their fave veggie. I fell in love with Lola (I believe that's her name). She's a fiend for lettuce and gets the cutest green mouf. She begs for more and you can't deny her lil bug eyes. The Emu Angel has been there since I last visited (she's 38yrs old!). The goats and sheep are separated from the llamas and you can't step inside with them anymore (honestly this is probably best so kids don't get knocked out or have their clothes chewed). You can still feed and pet all of the animals! I can't complain about the price of admission or the price of feeding them. I personally know the cost of exotic vet care and it's not cheap, throw in the livestock vets and care and you're looking at a pretty penny. I guess a pro tip is to show up on a week day, somewhere around 2, and pace yourself. I spent over an hour there so it wasn't a blink and you miss it type of adventure for me.

Adults are $16, children are $13 with no discount even if all of the attractions are closed. Basically everything was closed, such as the train, the tractor rides, and the pony rides. This ranch is very small with animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, goats, and llamas, but you could look at all of these animals within 10-15 minutes and be done, not worth the price so i recommend not to go if there has been any raining within a couple days. There is a small playground inside which was cool to keep busy, but not anything special you wouldn't find at a basic park. The coolest thing that we did enjoy about this place was being able to feed the animals for $6 per tray. Pro tip: go early to feed the animals because some of them, especially the bunnies were not very hungry after eating a bit. Pigs were ravenous always. Customer service was also not very friendly, the man who claimed to be the manager was pretty rude and dismissive. If all you are going to do is look at animals, I recommend OC zoo which charges $2 entrance and also lets you feed the goats, or Santa Ana zoo which has rides and petting zoo area for goats. Parking situation was not the best, there are paid lots, but they are a bit of a walk. Maybe with everything open we would have had a better experience, but based on the customer service we will not give it another try.
