John was very flexible and accommodating to my schedule (as I wasn't sure when I would be leaving and coming back exactly since it was a trip by car). John came to my house to pick Lucy up and also came to drop her off when I returned home. Talk about service! While I was out of town, he texted me a video of Lucy at feeding time along with fun little pictures of her sleeping and lounging around in his house. I wasn't expecting a video and that really made my night! Any time I texted him, he got back to me immediately. I will ABSOLUTELY use the Coconut Grove Dog Walker again to board Lucy. I go to the dog park on Virginia Street in the Grove every day and always see John taking the dogs there, so I know he takes GREAT care of all of his client's dogs. He's very knowledgable about every dog breed and you can tell he truly loves and cares about his client's (and all other) pets. Lucy came back to me smelling like a rose, very happy, well adjusted and exhausted from so much fun on her stay with John!

When we picked her up, I gave her water and she immediately started drinking it desperately. She didn't even greet us. She was more focused on drinking water than on seeing us, which says a lot about how thirsty she was. That behavior is not normal for her. Runa is not a dog that pants excessively unless she has been running a lot or is extremely tired. She almost never pants, not even when she's happy. That's why it really stood out to me that in every photo I received during her stay, she was constantly panting. At first glance, the dogs may appear "happy," but in reality they seem thirsty. She was there for only 5 days and still came back thinner and extremely thirsty. I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must have been for her , or how other dogs may be feeling if they are not being given proper access to water. I'm writing this with sadness, but also with the hope that this feedback leads to better care and attention to the well-being of the animals left at this place.

My goldendoodle, Lee was all over the place before we started the classes and now I can say that he is a very well behaved dog (except when Stella tries to take his birthday doughnut..lol...inside joke). Lee and his other friends from the group class all passed the CGC test. They each had their own strengths and weakness but Maruchy worked hard with each one of them week after week. The office was completely empty, and the receptionist was on the phone the entire time I was there. I stood at the front desk for several minutes, and while I understand she was helping another client, there was no acknowledgment whatsoever--no "I'll be right with you," and no attempt to briefly place the caller on hold to check what I needed. Given that I had a dog with a potential medical issue, I found this pretty disappointing. Even a quick check-in or acknowledgment would have made a big difference. After waiting with no interaction, I ended up leaving and going elsewhere. I completely understand that appointments are required, but basic awareness and courtesy toward someone physically standing in the office--especially with a possibly unwell pet--should be standard.

So I gave up. Until I met Rosie who genuinely was happy to give it a go...Surprisingly he seemed ok and went right into her van. Since then it's been a few months and can tell she really cares for him and takes a lot of time with him. This is my dogs happy place. He is very anxious in general and is scared of thunder, garbage…read moretrucks and any long or hostile noises, and always looks for somewhere to hide. He has received nothing but love and care at this daycare. The moment we get there he in jumping at the door trying to get in and start to play. I love to see the Instagram stories and see him running around and having fun. The attendants are so loving and caring with him and I feel fortunate to see how well cared and loved my dog is. By the reports I get I can really see that they really know understand and love my boy. The boarding here also makes it so much easier for me to leave him if I have to go out of town. All the employees are so so nice and really go out of the way to make sure he is well taken care off. Special shout out to Cheyanne who he loves more than me and who has such patience with him and his clinginess.
