They came from California where they also own another vet clinic. They have several years of experience. He was an older dog and had some long term illnesses like diabetes.During his last crisis, I took him to two different vets. Both handed me a bill to sign before they'd even help him a 'low' option and a 'high' option. The first I paid over 2k and At the second one I agreed to the cost without hesitation for care which was over 4K, and they still told me the best thing to do was put him down because of what it would cost to keep going. I refused to accept that his life came down to a number. The thing about this is not that my dog had no saving grace he could be saved he could be helped with the pain but they would have rather had me euthanize him before even trying to save his life all because they believed I wouldn't be able to pay for it After all of this I called on My vet at home and they gave the attention and care no one else was willing to give, made sure he wasn't in pain, and spared nothing in doing everything possible for him. Dr. Diaz is so knowledgeable she goes over everything thoroughly explains what is going on what to look out for establishes care and above all makes sure your dog is comfortable before anything. Pookie did end up passing away, which has been incredibly hard on my family but they gave us another precious week with him and treated him like his life mattered. Because to us, it did. He was our baby and will always be our baby.
