This is re: front desk as I did not get to see a vet. I walked into this office today with my dog because I was concerned he might be sick and wanted to see if there was any availability. The office was completely empty, and the receptionist was on the phone the entire time I was there. I stood at the front desk for several minutes, and while I understand she was helping another client, there was no acknowledgment whatsoever--no "I'll be right with you," and no attempt to briefly place the caller on hold to check what I needed. Given that I had a dog with a potential medical issue, I found this pretty disappointing. Even a quick check-in or acknowledgment would have made a big difference. After waiting with no interaction, I ended up leaving and going elsewhere. I completely understand that appointments are required, but basic awareness and courtesy toward someone physically standing in the office--especially with a possibly unwell pet--should be standard. read more

I am so grateful to have found this practice. My senior dog has been having some health challenges and we've had nothing but kindness and compassion at every step and from every person here - from the front desk, to the techs, to the vets. Equally important, the expertise and care is excellent and thorough. Last, it is easy to get an appointment, which I truly appreciate when there are unexpected emergencies. We can't say enough about GoodVets Coconut Grove, and Caroline specifically. We brought in our cat when he started acting funky while we were traveling in FL (we live in NY) and Caroline immediately recommended running bloodwork on our little guy. She found that his kidney levels were through the roof - she referred us to an emergency vet. In addition to referring us, she called ahead so the team would know we would be arriving and placed a catheter so he could immediately be hooked up to an IV upon his arrival. She couldn't have handled the situation better or give our guy a better shot at surviving. While that alone was amazing, what has particularly stood out is that Caroline has been following up with us regularly to check on our guy and see if there's anything she can do to help. Our appointment was 2 weeks ago and she is still calling to check in. Our guy spent ~10 nights in 3 different ICUs and had a very tricky SUB surgery, and Caroline has felt like our ally through this whole process. Finding a vet that is great is one thing, but one that cares SO deeply about animals is another. We are so grateful that our paths crossed with GoodVets and Caroline, and only wish we lived closer by so she could be our regular vet! read more

I went in saying that I knew my dog had parasites because she had been seen by another vet who gave her a powdered dewormer. I said that I was looking for a capsule or something that would be easier to administer because my dog wouldn't eat the powder. The vet tried to recommend Metamucil which has several known carcinogens. read more

At long last, Dr. Emily Abraham has her own practice, and it was worth the wait! The clinic is beautiful, with a calming and welcoming vibe, and an extremely friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Abraham is extraordinary, as is her amazing tech Nikki. I've been a client for 9 years, and Dr. Abraham has seen me through the chronic illnesses and emergencies of older pets, euthanasia, and puppyhood with my current dog. Her compassion is unquestionable, both with her patients and their guardians. She gave me easily two extra years with my beloved Giuseppe, and she has seen my baby, Chicco, through some extremely serious, life-threatening issues. She never gives up on finding the correct diagnosis and ensures the treatment is both effective and agrees with the patient. I simply do not have the words to convey how much I appreciate and admire her for her commitment to her patients. I cannot possibly recommend Dr. Abraham and the clinic more enthusiastically. read more

Let's just say I travel 1 hour so my dogs can be seen at this animal clinic and would travel even further for the service they provide. The staff is amazing, caring and knowledgeable. They are passionate about their jobs and will go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Dr. Abraham has saved my pups multiple times (beagles can be mischievous). Niki has been a shoulder to cry on when 2 of my older pups passed away. My first visit here I was greeted by a wonderful staff assembled by them. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality care. I took my mother in law's Pomeranian in for a dental cleaning. I found the whole staff to be very professional and super friendly. No wait time! The wellness plan offered makes care VERY affordable! Dr. Abraham calmed our nerves regarding the anesthesia protocol and now our little Teddy's teeth are nice and clean. His breath is great and we are loving his kisses again. read more

I brought my Pomeranian in to get a second opinion on whether he needed a dental cleaning under anesthesia... the vet gave me a written estimate in the neighborhood of $550, more if serious problems were found. I booked the procedure for today and when I took him in they gave me an estimate more than double the original estimate:$950 to $1300!! I took my pup home. She just switched to this office so I followed her over and had my first experience at GoodVets. Hospitality is so important to me and you can tell the team is genuinely happy to be at work, the customer service I received both, when I called and in person was phenomenal. When I arrived, I was surprised to see that this wasn't like most vet offices, it was super modern, clean and had a bit of a 'glam' vibe. I was asked if I wanted a beverage when walking into Cookie's exam room, it's small details like this that make a huge difference. The most important thing is the attention to detail they gave Cookie at todays visit. They treated her with love and care that only somebody with a passion for animals would!
