The staff does an incredible job of assisting and educating you through their process and educating you at the same time. Extremely transparent and offer guidance when addressing your dog's health. Juan, the doctor is very sagacious and polite, very professional and conducts himself in a very respectful manner. He's truly invested in helping and provided us with reassurance through his experience and made us feel comfortable. I love this office! I can't begin to express my gratitude to Dr. Viamonte and his staff. I was taking my dogs to another place which I will not name, but they struck a nerve when I called them, stating my one of my fur babies had a fever, and they suggested that I'd take her to a 24-hour ER since they were sure she had to be monitored overnight. This was at 1 pm, and they claim they're an "animal hospital." I remember my sister saying her friend said Viamonte is excellent and they take great care of their fur babies, so I called and could be seen immediately. I took my furbaby in, and since Dr. Viamonte didn't know her history, he asked all the right questions and gave him some feedback on her health, and he determined the right course of action to get her feeling better. I'm so happy he was recommended because I don't know what I would have done if I had taken her to the hospital, not to mention the bill! !!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE !!!! If you love your furry friend, avoid Viamonte at all costs. I had the absolute worst experience at this Vet. I took my 2 year old male cat in. He was slightly constipated and I could tell he was having trouble in the litter box, as he was barely pooping and peeing. The doctor did not know what was wrong, so he recommended to do X-Rays. BEFORE the X-Ray was done, he immediately jumped to conclusions and gave me a sheet explaining what a Urinary Blockage is (much more serious than UTI which would require surgery). Also, before the x-ray and truly knowing what was wrong, He gave my cat several shots and did not explain what they were and later found out, he was treating him for a UTI. Once the X-rays were taken and reviewed, He told me to rush my cat to the ER. Now he changed his story from my cat having a UTI or Urinary Blockage, to now having an abdominal blockage. He had no idea how to read the X-ray and had absolutely no idea what he was doing. And the ER he sent me to, couldn't even hospitalize my cat if necessary. Got in my car to go to a different ER. While I was at the new ER, I got a text from Viamonte, he said the radiologist took a look at the x-rays and reported back that it was not an abdonminal blockage. He also said in the text message that now my cat could potentially have idiopathic cystitis as well. So from this one visit, this Vet basically mentioned all the possible things that could be wrong (5/6 problems) with NO REAL DIAGNOSIS and absolute no answers on how to make him better. And on top of it all, they tried overcharging me on the X-rays, claiming they did more views that they actually did. Do not trust this Vet!! It truly felt like he was trying to get me out of the office and pass along this "problem" of my sick cat in someone else's hands. And to put the cherry on top, I ended up going to my parents house to see my trusted Veterinarian. He thoroughly explained me the X-ray that was done at Viamonte's office, showing me the anatomy of my cat and where body parts are located etc. When Viamonte explained me the X-ray, he obviously had no idea the anatomy of a cat and read me the x-ray completely wrong!!!! When you take your sick pet into a Veterinarian, you trust that they have you and your cats best interest at heart. NOT HERE. Do not make the same mistake I did. read more

AWESOME. Recently I received a new puppy and needed a new vet, so this was heaven sent! I called to make the first appointment for my pup and they were able to give me the appointment time I requested. They are quick to answer the phones and very friendly. The day of the appointment, I arrived a few minutes earlier and the wait time was a bit longer than expected but, that was okay because the service I was about to receive would overshadow the long wait time. Once I entered the examination room, it was clean and spacious. No complaints. Parking, it is a bit tight and it is located in the back of the office. When driving there I recommended when you are getting close to drive slow because the parking entrance is easy to miss. Pricing, affordable! I can say that compared to my previous vet this pricing makes it affordable to keep your pup healthy and able to see a vet without expecting outrageous prices. They also take health insurance if your pet has. I want to say thank you to the staff at the clinic because, they are all super courtesy and treat your pet like their own. Dr. Viamonte was AMAZING, he listened to what I was asking and went above and beyond to provide me with outstanding service. As well, Isis was super awesome and helpful during my visit. The entire staff was, I would give shoutouts if I knew everyones name. Thank you guys again! I wanted to write this review because, it is well deserved and I previously had a vet for over 15 years and never was open to looking elsewhere until a malpractice occurred to my other pet under my previous vet. I share this because, Viamonte is passionate about what he does and is not in it for the money. My pup will be returning to Dr. Viamonte and he will remain my vet for the rest of my dogs life! I absolutely love this vet clinic. I took both of my cats (a 7 year old tabby and 8 week old tux) to Dr. Viamonte and I loved how attentive he was and how much information he provided us with regarding our kitten. He administered her first round of vaccines and said we would need to bring her in for boosters and then test for FELV/FIV. He also checked our kitten for parasites because her stomach looked distended. Our 7 year old cat wasn't so fond of getting blood drawn (she tried to bite Dr. Viamonte a few times) and she made his job very difficult, but he handled her with care and grace and I respect him so much for not losing his patience. We returned with our 7 year old for a follow up appointment to do a teeth cleaning and the bill was surprisingly reasonable (around $280). In addition to the exceptional care provided, the office is very clean and the wait time isn't ridiculous. I will absolutely return to this vet clinic. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! 0 stars! Avoid this place they are scammers. They give you a price on the phone then it's completely different when you go there. My first encounter was when I called to get my two cats mikan and Tigre declawed, they gave me a price of $450 a cat. After the service was done I was presented a bill of almost $2000. When I questioned it they said it was $450 a hand (a way to scam you). The doctor at that point after I told him I was not going to par and report him decreased the price to $450 a cat plus them meds. I paid that and I was fine with that. Second time it was a visit and everything was fine. Third time I called and scheduled a appointment to get my cat Mikan spayed they told me about a service that they do where they spay the cats and the city pays for it all I would have to pay for is the meds ($160), no other place charges for the meds when they do this service under the city. After they booked my appointment, then confirmed it the day before, I go this morning to drop off mikan my cat and the girl up front has me fill up the paper work and then the nurse who as worked on my cat comes out and says well I need to cut the tip of her ear so you qualify, I wasn't to thrilled about that. Then she says you can do it the other way but it's more money, then she says again I'll snip it very little you can't even tell, so I agreed. Then the manager comes in and says oh we can't do that since she is a cat that has been here before ñ, my response was you all knew this she was in your computer and the nurse remembered my cat. So then the manager says if you want we can still do the service but with you paying the dr visit, the blood work, the spaying, and also the meds a total of $383.80 and big difference from the $160 I was supposed to pay. So I waited half an hour till the doctor came to see if he could resolve this "mistake" which is what they claimed. Mistakes happen only once not everytime there's a major bill and by multiple employees. So the dr hands me the quote and says that's the price and he would not do anything even though I had the appointment, 3 of his employees checked my appointment and processed it, and I had taken my day off from my business to take my car for her surgery. He is a scammer. While I was in the waiting room they did the same thing to another lady which has brought in two cats to get spayed. This is their method of bringing clients in and scamming them. I will be filing with the better business bureau. Where this business is located there are a lot of older cuban people in the area and it's obvious how they try to take advantage of people. Dr.Viamonte - if I could give him a negative amount of stars I would. Very unprofessional. i used to take all of my dogs to Dr.Gomara who sold his practice to Viamonte. For location purposes I stayed with Viamonte. what a big mistake He spayed my golden doodle and left various remnants of her ovary inside. After two cycles of my dog still menstruating - I took her to him to see what was going on. He told me he had no idea what was going on and just to wait and see. I insisted he take a scan and he said I would have to pay to get any X-ray or scan to follow up after I had just paid so much for the surgery. Once the scan showed the results - he showed no concern or regard over the careless job he had performed. His attitude was disheartening. The front office was also very unorganized and no one had a clue how to manage the history of the dog. Very stressful. My parents also had a terrible experience with their havanese dog. It is a sad day when people resort to padding bills and overcharging to make a living. I was given a quote for services that was half the amount I was charged after the fact! I understand there may be charges that were not part of the original quote but double the amount is ridiculous! To make matters worse they destroyed my very expensive cat carrier and made no attempt to make it right!!! I will NEVER go back and suggest if you go there you get a quote in writing and take it with you lest you be shocked by a bill twice the quoted costs. read more

Do not take your cat here. I boarded my 2 cats because I had a trip and I thought what better place to leave them than with their vet. I was totally wrong. First they don't have separate rooms for dogs and cats, so they have them all mixed up in cages next to each other. Which obviously makes cats very anxious. Hygiene was horrible and no water on their plates and the food plate looked like it was not cleaned for at least 3 days. It had rotten food. It was total nightmare and no one responded for how my cats where mistreated. read more

I've been a client since before Viamonte took over the practice and I must say he is not as attentive as he should be. They book 4-5 customers at once to see the same ONE vet. So the wait times are always exorbitant, even if you have an appointment time set you wait an hour. The vet always try's to upsell you while you're there in hopes to get more money from the pet owner. I went for a routine dental and not only did they try to send me home with tons of unnecessary medications but also wanted to inject my dog with things that weren't in my dogs best interest to raise the bill. I had to review every detail of the bill to ensure I wasn't being taken advantage of and I removed all the unnecessary extra things they were trying to add which reduced my bill by $100. Worst part about it is that my dog came home from her dental appointment sick. I brought her there just fine and now she's been coughing like she's choking for two weeks since I picked her up at viamonte's. They do not follow strict cleanliness guides to keep animals safe from getting sick. That's why my dog is now sick and I don't know what to do to treat it because going to the vet is not helping her any. They are more interested in getting paid then they are the well being of their customers and the animals they treat. This vet seems fine from a distance but when you look up close there are many things that need to improve. I wish I didn't feel like I was getting tricked into paying for something more every time I go. I wish I felt like they truly cared for the animals as opposed to just being money hungry. read more

Brought my dog in with an appointment, I arrived on time yet three other patients came in with no appointment yet were passed in front of me for knowing the vet personally. I had to wait over an hour... My dog came in for allergies and the vet started to prepare a shot for my dog and was about to inject her without telling me what it was or what he was doing. So I had to stop him to ask what he was doing. He then gave her medication and he did not tell me about any side effects nor did he give me any information on the medication and under the FDA he does not have the required information of the medication he administers on the RX bottles. A week later my dog experienced side effects that I was not told about. I called and the vet told the assistant to tell me to bring her right away and stop the medication but would not speak directly to me. I asked if she would be seen right away since the vet said to bring her in right away but she told me the office is back up so it's unknown when she would be seen... This office is unethical and poorly run. To make things worse they add charges on your bill for things they don't do so I had to tell them to take a few of the fees they charged me since they did not provide me with what they were claiming in the bill. I will be reporting this vet so others are spared of this horrible place. read more
