Once I disclosed that another company had already cleaned the room, I was told they do not like taking jobs previously cleaned by other companies and that I should ask the original cleaners to come back instead. The response honestly felt dismissive, and almost as if they no longer wanted the job because I had not chosen their company first. What confused me most is that the room still clearly needed cleaning regardless. It also left me wondering whether they would have accepted the job normally if I had simply never mentioned that another cleaner had already been there. I understand businesses can choose what work they take on, but the interaction felt unprofessional and disappointing after already discussing pricing and the scope of the cleaning.

It was a tough job, and they were excellent. The master bathroom and kitchen are both really big, and nothing had been professionally cleaned since the start of COVID six years ago. I keep things pretty tidy, but cleaning is hard, and there was definitely a good amount of accumulated grime. Martha and her team left everything absolutely spotless. I had texted what I needed and when, and Debora replied to me their availability and what to expect. Basically, the cleaning crew would come and assess the job and provide an estimate.
