As a family, we visit Luceline Orchard every year, and it's always a fantastic time! There's something for everyone -- delicious food, live music, and fun activities for all ages. For food, I highly recommend the apple brat. It's packed with flavor and a true classic of the orchard. It's easy to spend a couple of hours here -- you can feed the live animals, take a hayride, play basketball, and enjoy many other activities. I've brought my family here 4 falls in a row now and it's become a favorite family tradition. It's worth the drive from Minneapolis for sure. Unlike some orchards there is no charge for entry and then once you are there you can buy tickets for "rides". Huge discount on weekdays. But they also have a lot of free activities like a corn pit, zip line rides, and other things that my 4 year old had loved each year. They also often have live music. They also have plenty of food options. Nothing too special but it's not really the main draw anyway. Great for a family trip. read more

What a fun orchard! There is so much to do here from shopping local goods, pony rides, giant slide, zip line, petting zoo, maze, corn pit, and more! They have live music at certain times too. Parking is across the road but handicapped parking is right by the main entrance. Grounds can be uneven and hilly in spots so walk carefully. Every year they are adding something new! What a nice orchard! We were lucky enough to come to the orchard on a perfect fall day! There are lots of fun activities like a corn pit, corn maze, fun slide, and hay ride. Lots of activities but very well contained so it's not too far for kids to walk around. They also have some good food, state fair fries and cheese curds and some things on the grill. Overall we had a great time. I do want to point out pricing: free to get in and then each activity costs $5 OR you can purchase a wristband for $25 (kids 3 and under are free). They have some things like face painting and pony rides that cost more on top of the wrist band price. read more

This place was such a hidden gem! It has a corn maze, corn pit, little nature trail, animals to pet, hayrides, food and drinks, a gift shop, and apples to pick. Free admission and parking, and plenty of fun free things to do if you want to keep costs down. Not only that, but everyone who works there is SO friendly! We got drinks (which were excellent) and when she found out it wad our first time visiting, the woman serving us went above and beyond to give us recommendations so that we could have the best day, despite the line growing behind us. Haven't been to other orchards in the area but I can promise that you won't go wrong with this one. Fist time here! It's about an hour from Minneapolis. Lots of things for little kids to play and do. They have you pick apples as well as ready picked ones for purchase at the barn as well as samples of the current varieties. I tried the first kiss and summer treat. First kiss was a little too tart for me but it had a nice crunch when you bite. The summer treat was sweet but no crunch. I already know that I like the sweet tango and zestar so didn't get any samples and we bought some yesterday at another orchard already. Service was friendly at the food stand. My pork chops was a little under cooked and they were happy to replace it for me. I love apple fritters and they had deep fried apple fritter donuts. It was good but I felt it have more apples and less dough as the inside of the donut was mushy like it is not fully cooked. The sweet corn was definitely SWEET and tasty! It didn't need anything added. Plain was perfect! Masks were worn but sometimes not properly in that it is pulled under the nose and just covering the mouth. Some staff were wearing gloves when serving but not all food trucks staff were wearing gloves to serve food. We tried the apple sangria and fireside apple cider with fireball cocktails. They were both good but I felt like my sangria was missing something in that it tasted watered down. A nice adventure and the place was spacious enough for social distancing. We didn't do the corn maze but it seemed like a good one. No hayrides due to COVID but the kids love playing on the tractors. Will recommend for family outings! read more

We came here over the weekend for the October ritual of taking kids to an orchard/pumpkin patch. Luceline did not disappoint. They have it all - face painting, animal petting, hay rides, food, t-shirts, knick-knacks, lots of room for kids to run around, and some very photo-friendly backgrounds to tell your friends you went out into the country. They also had a beer shack, which checks the box for the adults. The staff is friendly, too. We spent about 2 hours there, our son had a great time and it was only about a 45 minute drive from our home in Minneapolis. read more

It's our first fall in Minnesota and although the seasons seem short they are beautiful. My wife wanted to take the family out to an apple orchard and we heard about Luceline from friends in Maple Grove as a local favorite spot for families. Luceline is a family owned place and is only 14 years old. In the fall they are set up like many of the local apple orchards with fun for the family, food, apple tasting and all the goods fall has to offer. There is a large field you park in and you are greeted by a very friendly staff member. As you make your way up to the main house and barn here are spots to take family pictures, a stack of hay bales that overlook the valley and some beautiful scenery. We bought tickets to the hayride and corn maze tour, saw the animals in the penned off areas and enjoyed the playground and corn room where kids can bury themselves in corn. For food they have amazing mini donuts and apple fritters, cider, coffee and they run a lunch special which is a brat, burger chips and a drink. The food is prepped right off the grills and they have tables all over the property to stop and eat. Port o potties are the bathroom option so for those of you with bathroom squeamishness come prepared :) This place is so much fun, our girls loved it and we tasted apples I didn't even know were in existence. read more

We went here for the first time this year to do some apple picking early in the season. We went around 10/11 am in hopes of picking apples and enjoying their bar. Unfortunately, there weren't any apples to pick and there was no signage informing the apple-goers that there was no apple picking. We spent probably 30 minutes walking around trying to find the orchard to pick before we made the realization. I did enjoy their sangria and choices of mini pumpkins and gourds. They had some nice selections of items in their store and brought in some of the food stands from the fair. Overall, a very nice orchard. Just wished they had advertised that there was no literal apple picking at the time. read more

Incredibly one of the greatest vibes I've ever felt. A fun family oriented place with goats, chickens, cows and donkeys, a crazy corn maze, a beautiful winery. A place to eat fair food and listen to the band as the sun settles over the Apple Orchard. They have a store to buy apples and cooking supplies, they have a ring toss and plenty of dogs to touch and say hi to. You may even run into an old friend. The hay ride is a special surprise. What a great place to visit. I spent some time Sunday just relaxing in a swing. You can hear the sound of children laughing everywhere. The employees are the best I have seen anywhere. They are all friendly, happy, willing to help. I saw one in a bright pink shirt picking up trash off the ground and in a very friendly manner warn kids not to climb on some logs. I enjoyed a brat and an adult beverage, all at a reasonable price. I had such a great time I want to go back again just to sit in the swing. On a whim, I bought the LivingSocial deal, and we are so glad we did. This orchard has so much to do, and yet doesn't feel like a carnival. The nature trail is not to be missed! The swings all around the property were great spots to sit and take a break, and the apple fritter bites were to die for. There was live music, beer and wine, and reasonably priced gift shop along with tastings of all their offerings. We enjoyed the corn maze, and so will your kids. My wife and I had a Groupon for Luceline Orchard, which is run by one of the members of the KQRS morning show, which I have been listening to for 20 years, Terri Traen and her family runs it and they have lots of stuff going on. We took the hay ride, which was given by her son Reed, who seemed like a really cool guy. They take you to the corn maze and all around the orchard and grape vines. Good stuff. We started about ten AM and took the walking trail about a quarter mile down the path until it stopped. Very tranquil. Lots of trees, and I really enjoyed the wetlands off to the side. Very pretty. They have a cute pig and a few goats that welcome you, along with the hay bales that look like pigs. Pretty cute. We also got a lunch with our Groupon, and I ordered the veggie burger. My wife wasn't hungry, so on her advice, I made a double decker veggie burger. The grilled veggie burgers were amazing. Probably Morning Star or something, but they grilled up well. I think they had some cheese in them as well. Very good! Plus they have onions and pickles and mustard and ketchup to add. Not bad for a mom and pop place. They had a variety of pops too, (No Coke Zero or Cherry Coke Zero, but you can't always win, so I got a Diet Coke. I actually said hi to Terri as well, she was picking up a few bottles some dorks threw away instead of throwing them in the garbage. She was super nice and asked where I was from. I said "Edina" and she said "Thanks for coming this far out." Very nice lady. We bought two Sweet Tango apples for $2 a piece, but they are huge and I love helping out a lady that has made me laugh for 20 years. Good family fun and a great "In city" adventure. read more

This orchard is for children. Let me repeat that, THIS ORCHARD IS FOR CHILDREN. I love autumn activities, but everything here fell short. The corn maze was about three feet tall with fewer than ten wrong turns. The orchard shop was cute, but ludicrously overpriced (even by orchard standards). The walking trail was maybe a quarter mile long. The food was sub-par at best. My burger was so soaked with grease and water that the bun immediately disintegrated and the whole thing was inedible. If you do bring children, they'll probably have a good time. There's a hay pile and a corn pit. Not much to look at on the hay ride, but still a nice little time to relax. There are a number of comparable orchards around of a better value. read more

My girlfriend and I have come to this orchard 2 years in a row now. Very cute, well laid out orchard that has a little bit of everything. Super family friendly with hayrides, petting zoo, corn pit for kids, lots of areas to take pictures and of course APPLES! This place is also good for couples. There is a nice trail walk, pumpkin patch, apples, food and animals to look at. In 2015 they had a tornado go through the area but they did a great job talking about it and describing the situation. We came to LuceLine on a whim after purchasing a groupon. It was a pleasant drive-- less than an hour, and the place was not overly crowed like the other orchards that are closer to the city. We were SO impressed with the layout of this place. They had animals-- goats, ponies, chickens, a rooster, and pig that you can pet and feed, a corn box (like a sand box) filled with tractors and other toys, a hay pile for kids to climb, numerous playgrounds throughout the site, a pony riding station ($5), corn maze, kiddie train rides, hay rides that take you through out the apple orchard, and a full grill site that offers burgers, brats, and hotdogs. The groupon that we purchased included the corn maze, two full meals, and the hay ride for $17. The food was great, the staff was amazing, and the atmosphere was just suburb! Had tons of fun at Luceline Orchard I went with my 1.5 Year old niece and my boyfriend. Luceline has tons of activities for the kids to enjoy the corn pit is small but does the job, they have plenty of animals to see/pet including cows, sheep, goat, a pet pig named lenny, roosters and a few dogs rooming the grounds! They also have hay stacks to climb, and a Hay ride that we ended up skipping because the line was a bit long instead we just walked down the hill to the orchard. I would suggest you take the ride to their corn maze though. Of course the main event for the visit was the Apple Orchard they have a wide variety during the time we went they offered the Sweet Tango apples to pick a small bag for $20 they also offer a larger bag for more cost. Loved it and will be coming back next year for sure! Not bad for being a hour away from the twin cities. They have a grill cooking up hotdogs, brats and burgers we tried all three the burger honestly tasted like any other burger but the brats were Great! read more

This is the most amazing apple orchard and family place to go. Everyone is friendly and love have the pets around. My friend and I went out there today and meet Terri and her kids and friends today it was wonderful.
