Not only was he able to accommodate an appointment the very next day (at 8 AM, as I requested), but he was able to diagnose and repair my two Mitsubishi Mr. Slim AC units within less than two hours. As you can see from the photos, when Oleg and his team arrived this morning, both AC units were blowing HOT AIR (which is almost NEVER necessary in South Florida) and by the time they were done, both units were blowing VERY cold air, allowing the units to function as designed and cooling the spaces that each unit served. Oleg also recommended some additional maintenance that the units could benefit from, but he was not at all about the "high-pressure" sales tactics and simply provided the information and pricing for me to decide. Fuse's pricing was more than fair, and Oleg and his team seemed to care more about the work and performing it with expert precision than they did about the money. I spent a fortune having my place totally cleaned! Rugs, curtains, everything!!! After spending all that time and money getting my place somewhat clean we hired FL AC to come clean my ducts. That were filled with dust, mold, asbestos and possible lead? Year built 1974!!! This FL AC co came in knowing this and they knew my dusts had dust and unknown chemicals in it. Their job was to close off the other side of the ac duct so it doesn't blow these chemicals into the unit. The other side of my ducts went right into my bedroom too. Since I have developed breathing probs due to all this dust from MCI windows in Delray I had to leave the condo until they completed the job. When I came back into my place my throat totally closed up. I couldn't breathe. This co was supposed to cover and close up that vent and only allow the dirt and debris from my ducts to go back into their cleaning machine they used. Not have it blown out the other side of my vent where all this debris ended up! It's airborne and after spending a fortune on cleaning my place my bedroom was totally filled with dust and all these chemicals. Nothing was covered either! Everything in my bedroom was FILLED WITH DUST. My Rugs that I just had steam cleaned. MY bedroom smelled horrid and after spending all this time and money n cleaning my rugs and curtains it was back to the way MCI left it!!!. My bed blankets and sheets filled with dust!. I'd give AR Williams a mixed but fair review…read more I initially called because I have a 7 to 8 year old Mitsubishi mini split in my garage that had stopped cooling. After calling several other HVAC companies that weren't interested in working on a mini split, someone else in the construction industry recommended AR Williams. When I first called, I was told they generally don't work on mini splits either. After explaining that I also had a conventional split system in my house that needed attention and that I wasn't interested in hiring two different companies, they agreed to come out and look at both systems. The technician who came out was excellent. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what he was seeing. He quickly determined that the mini split had lost its refrigerant charge. After adding R-410A, we were immediately able to hear the leak coming from the indoor head unit, confirming the system had a refrigerant leak. At that point, he discussed replacement options. They preferred replacing the system rather than repairing an older R-410A unit, while I decided I'd rather look into sourcing a replacement indoor head myself. My only real complaint is the pricing model. The technician spent roughly an hour and a half at my house, and the bill came to just over $600. Coming from the construction and service industry myself, I'm accustomed to straightforward hourly labor plus material markup. AR Williams uses flat-rate, software-based pricing where each task has a predetermined price regardless of how long it takes or the actual material cost. That's simply not a pricing model I'm personally comfortable with. I don't have any complaints about the technician or the professionalism of the visit. In fact, I'd happily have him back. My decision not to use AR Williams again is based solely on their pricing structure, not the quality of the people they employ. If you're comfortable with flat-rate pricing, you may have a different experience than I did. It just isn't the right fit for me.
