After pricing hardwood at the "big box" stores, someone told me about Raider Flooring, a new company in Lubbock, Texas started by Mike Anderson. I went to the Raider Flooring showroom and talked personally with Mr. Anderson. He has extensive experience in the flooring business. He showed me his product lines and discussed the different types of flooring. I told him I was interested in hardwood flooring and showed him pictures of the limited hardwood already installed in the entry way to the new home. He offered to come to my new home to look at the existing floor. Mr. Anderson came to the my new home, free of charge, to look at the existing floor. He was able to immediately match the existing flooring with a beautiful selection in his inventory. I was blown away by his ability to instantly match wood grain, thickness, and color immediately. Technology is a beautiful thing! Now, for the best part ...... his prices were very competitive with the big boys, yet the personal attention and response where game changers for me. I purchased the hardwood and set up measure and installation dates. Raider Flooring showed up with a trained four man crew that installed the beautiful new hardwood in a 3,200 sq ft home in only two days. I personally watched these professionals at work and can say, the attention to detail was a thing of beauty. I inspected closely as the crew worked, and I must say, the work was flawless. Mr. Anderson took the time to educate me on the proper cleaning and maintenance of this gorgeous addition to my home. The whole process was a pleasure from the moment I walked into the showroom. Raider Flooring and Mike Anderson are a throwback to a time when craftsmanship was delivered as expected

She had some great suggestions and even shared her experience she's had with different types of materials and how they wore over time and how they'd combine with the other elements of the kitchen. The project progressed quickly and without any major problems. She asked questions as her crew went along so the project turned out the way it was envisioned. It was finished right on budget which we worked out ahead of time and about a day early. Everyone in the office has commented how great it looks and all functionality is intact, if not improved. Would definitely recommend.

I would recommend Mrs. Kay for any job she covers. She cares about her customers and she cares about making sure her company is the one you want to call. Her prices are great. Unfortunately, our experience with BAM Construction was extremely disappointing, and based on our…read moreexperience, we cannot recommend them. The biggest issue was communication and scheduling. Sherry repeatedly failed to properly read our messages and did not effectively communicate with us or the contractor about scheduling or what work needed to be done. In the middle of the project, we went several days without hearing anything, leaving us with an unusable kitchen and no clear timeline for completion or even confirmation that anyone was coming back. It took multiple messages, including demanding either a refund or completion that week, before we finally received a response. When they did return, we received only about 15 minutes' notice. What should have been a simple 3-4 day countertop and backsplash project turned into a two-week project, with much of that time spent with no one working and us unsure whether or when the project would be completed. We also caught the contractor providing inaccurate information on multiple occasions, which damaged our trust. More than $600 worth of materials we personally purchased were disposed of without our permission, and we had to track them down and attempt to recover them. After losing confidence in the contractor, we requested someone else be assigned. We then went two days without a response. The owner, Adam, repeatedly said he would call at specific times, but those calls did not happen. When we called, we were told to text instead and often received little or no response. Even after completion, cabinet doors the crew had removed were left off, and we had to ask them to reinstall them and put the dishwasher back. The crew also damaged our garbage disposal, requiring us to have an electrician come out and repair it. Our old countertops were also left in our dumpster, resulting in neighbor complaints and involvement from City of Lubbock Code Enforcement regarding proper disposal of the demolition materials. Overall, this project was far more stressful than it should have been due to poor communication, scheduling issues, repeated delays, inaccurate information, unauthorized disposal of our materials, incomplete work, and difficulty getting anyone to respond. For a straightforward kitchen remodel, we expected much better professionalism, communication, honesty, and follow-through. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend BAM Construction based on our experience.
