I am on the fence. If it was just for the alteration, she did a great job and I would give 5 stars! Maybe I am ignorant when it comes to pricing, but the alteration cost more than my actual dress. She told me it was going to be a specific amount and I quickly replied that it was too much for me and told her I would go somewhere else. Somehow after I said that, she went down $10. So who knows. Again, the dress looks great, I just would assume they hike up the prices and people are willing to pay. I may or may not return. read more

I purchased a brand new pair of Diesel jeans and was so happy that I had gotten the last pair in my size. The pants were too long by a couple of inches. I wanted a nice professionally job done on the hem, so I took them to Lt Tailors in Meyerland to be shortened. I told the owner twice that I wanted a 32" inseam with the original hem...that was even printed on my receipt. I was really looking forward to getting the pants back to wear them. The jeans still had all price tags attached, showing what I had paid for them (not cheap). When I returned to pick up the jeans, they were now capri pants!! She had cut off almost 14" of the pant legs and then hemmed them with white thread (pants were not white). I just wanted to cry! I could not believe she had totally ruined my new pants that I never got to wear. She told me I could wear them as capri pants...they were flare leg jeans. I mean common sense should tell you that the pants were not 14" too long! Brand new Diesel jeans ruined. Please take note of what happened to me before you go LT Tailors. read more

So I had gained a couple of inches around the waistline due to the excessive gorging of food that had occured during the holiday season. This fact did not occur to me until 2 days before a wedding I was to attend. I had brought my pants to Lt Tailors and was greeted by a very nice lady. I told her my situation and she measured me and told me that my pants would be ready in the morning. The lady was friendly. The workmanship was excellent. The turnaround time was quick. I am not a frequent reviewer, but in this case I could not hold back. I really wish I was writing a positive review for this business. My teenage daughter and her fellow officers for a club at Bellaire High School chose this business for monogramming mainly because of it's location in the neighborhood, and because the owner promised by the date they needed them. They purchased their shirts elsewhere and took them to LT Tailors to be monogrammed. There were 7 shirts and the monogram includes name, position, and date. The shirts were left with specific instructions and spelling for each. When my daughter went to pick the shirts up, her last name was misspelled. The owner looked at it and didn't really know what to do to fix it. There was supposed to be an "m" but it was "rn". My daughter suggested she just hand sew to connect the two letters at the top and the owner agreed that sounded like a good idea. So she left the shirt. When she returned, she had sewn in the "m" by adding on to the "n" making it worse. So now an "m" looks like this "rm". The other girls noticed their monograms were not just right either. Some of the stitching is very thick, some is very thin, and some is crooked or tilted. The lettering is very inconsistent making the monogram difficult to read. Another parent and I decided we needed to take all the shirts back and see what could be done to rectify this situation. After showing the owner the shirts, she said she could not fix them and would not give a refund. She continued by saying she was trying to run a business and she just puts it in the machine and that's how it came out. She also said that it was a $10 monogram. My daughter and her fellow officers paid her over $20 each for these monograms. Did she overcharge them as well? We had no choice but to leave the business completely dissatisfied with the work done. We are extremely disappointed in LT Tailors. We like to support local business, but this one is off our list. The owner of this business is unethical and there is apparently something wrong with their monogramming machine. I cannot comment on the tailoring and alteration ability of this business, but do not use them for monogramming and beware as her demeanor rapidly changes if things don't go well. read more

So I have been needing to get some plain tank knit shirts made for my dance classes to sweat in. Nothing special just a plain draped tank. I go to this shop with one of my old tops that I would like them to make. I tell the lady that I will buy the fabric and asked how much would she quote me for labor. (keep in mind it is a plain knit tank top). She says she charges $85 for one top. IS SHE SERIOUS!? !? For $85 I could buy a dozen tanks at the mall. THAT LADY NEEDS TO GET OVER HERSELF! As if she thinks she's Chloe Dao from Project Runway. Go elsewhere, they have unrealistic charges here. read more

The owner always remembers us, asks about our families, and is genuine and kind. I have referred dozens of friends to LT over the years. She has tailored suits, jeans, dresses, casual tank tops, and almost any item of clothing we own. She has also monogrammed sports gear beautifully, and refurbished and restitched worn fabric on vintage items we own. Everything is always done in the time frame requested (normally a week but we have also requested expedited service in a day). This is a wonderful Tailor. I have very expensive clothes especially my suits. I am very particular about who I let tailor and clean my suits. I had some very expense suits that I bought when I was a working out and a lot bigger in the chest. They were 42 I am not a 40 regular in suit sizes. Basically this tailor and I have tried one or two others that I trust and they were not able to do what I needed which was tailor them properly. Not only did they do an unbelievable job, but I will be bringing all my larger suits for her to fix along with all my other alterations! Spectacular work, great price, excellent service!!!! To be honest, a star is way too much for the service received. My disappointment started at the entrance, where the "nice" lady didn't even bother to greet us after looking straight at me. I told her that I wanted several pairs of pants shortened and I had to show myself to the dressing rooms since she didn't bother to point out where I should go. This all happened on a very free day, when only one person came after me. She didn't ask me if the length is good or not, just hurried me to put the next pair. When I was done, the only thing she kept repeating is if I am going to pay then, and of I said of course, as opposed to paying when the service was already done. When I came the next day to pick the up, she handed my pants and told good-bye. I asked her if I can try them on and she showed me to the fitting room. Once in, I saw the HORRENDOUS job she did on the sewing. It was literally like my 8 year old niece did the sewing. I was so disappointed and upset, because not only she didn't do what she was asked, but ruined 3 pairs of new and expensive pants, after telling her I have a job interview and needed to look as tidy and professional as possible!!! I got out the fitting rooms almost crying and looked for the lady to ask her to redo the poor work. She was nowhere to be found. I stayed and waited for 5 minutes, even called that I was done, but she still didn't come. At this point, I just left not having time to play and hide-and-seek games. I was very nervous because I had to pay upfront, but she reiterated that she's been in the business a long time and everything would be fine.
