I was looking with a Cummins friend of mine for a great electric company that specializes in Generator installations in LA, and through that friend comes Lenny Tedeski of LT Generators for an installation quote. Immediately liking & trusting this man, I made it clear to him that my only requirement is that it must be a 30KW Cummins Generator with an ATS. He gave me a very reasonable quote, and 1 month later I am notified by Deb of the office, that LT Generators is prepared for my installation. Charles was the lead electrician with a crew consisting of Ivan, Santos, & Michael. They showed up promptly at 7AM, working non-stop until 5PM, giving my wife & I the finest installation money can buy. I watched in amazement the entire 10 hours as each person meticulously handled his end of the installation. The field supervisor, Bill Lockhart, showed up as a surprise inducement to run through the "startup" procedure, kicking the generator on like clockwork to end a perfect day. This being my finest Cummins experience, Lenny's team outdid themselves in every conceivable way, and I strongly recommend anyone considering a generator system for their home, using LT Generators of Los Angeles for their installation. I also highly recommend taking the protection package for 2 reasons: 1/ Peace of mind knowing your expensive equipment will be fully protected & maintained with 2 service visits per year. 2/ Knowing in my case that I will continue to have ongoing contact with Lenny, Bill, Deb, Sandra, Crystal, Tanya, and all the office staff with the hope of seeing my installation crew along the way! OMG....Fantastic. After the last power outage with Edison we looked into a home standby generator. LT was an authorized dealer of Generac and had good reviews so we went with them. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. From the first call to the last call, they were very professional yet down to earth people, really made it a pleasure to speak with. Erica was great to talk to while getting everything set up. Marcello came out to give an estimate and answered all our questions and helpped with placement when the city advised where it could go. He made us feel at ease and never pushed us in selling the generator. He was kind and honest. Install went completely easy. We had a gas smell at 9pm after the install (the city's side of the gas line had an issue, NOT LT's work) but we called the 24hr service with LT and they were prompt in responding. Tanya texted me right away and reassured me. Knowing i was nervous and wouldn't be able to sleep, Tanya even sent someone out that night within the hour to look at it. The guy who came was just as great at that hour. Tanya texted with me until someone came making us feel that LT really cared for their customers. The next day i called to thank her and tell her that she went well beyond in customer service. I got a permit for the project and LT handled all of it. Brian made sure it went smoothly and took care of every step. In the end, Brian got the permit approved and said he would mail a copy to me. Promptly, i received the copy in the mail. I found LT Generators Professional and communication was A+. Site Rep came out on a Thursday and gave a full inspection of the property and what my possible Amperage Load might be. I had shopped around town and decided on LT in Van Nuys because their pricing was better, and they are great about answering questions. Once the proper unit was decided on, they scheduled the install immediately within a week (WOW). Most companies I talked to gave me a 30 - 90 day lead time for installation. I also like the fact they offer financing; what a plus. Everyone was responsive to all my questions and the follow up after the unit was installed is: so far, so good. Everyone I talked to at the office (at least 3 people), plus the on-site installers, were very patient and knowledgable answering all my questions and possible concerns. I don't understand some of the negative reviews; if you own a generator (or purchased a home with a pre-existing unit) why would you not automatically buy a maintenance plan with a local generator company? If you're going to spend that kind of money, or you inherited a unit...wouldn't you want it to perform when needed? That's why people buy generators; to avoid being without power.That equates to buying a car, and then never taking it in for service. That's how machines work; they need maintenance. read more

I have been wanting a Generac generator for a long time. I was finally able to make this significant purchase. I thoroughly investigated the various companies that provided and installed these generators. I decided to go with LT Generator because they were the best price and I really believed based on my own research that this was the best company in comparison to the other 2 companies who bid the job. I clearly made a great decision. From quote, to install, to final run through, I am confident that I picked the right company. They were professional and did excellent work. Due to a lengthy gas line installation the job took 2 days. They arrived on time, and always left the work area clean post work. The workers were professional and very friendly. Upon completion a simulated blackout was performed, and I was taken through the essentials of the Generators workings. I also had a great working relationship with the office staff who were extremely helpful and responsive to my calls and inquiries both pre and post installation. I did a lot of research on generators before finally pulling the trigger on getting a backup generator for the house. The entire experience from the original consult to the installation with LT Generators has been top notch. They delivered in the timeline they indicated they would be able to deliver. The installation crew, headed by Rolando, were on time and worked efficiently to get the job done in a short period of time. They communicated throughout the job of any cutoff of electricity and gas so there were no surprises. Rolando and his crew provided very clean work and insured their installation was snug to the house and clean, so it all looked like it has been part of the house since original construction. They also insured they left the job site clean without any trash laying around, which is always appreciated. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a back up generator. Truly outstanding service! Before quoting the price, they actually visited my home (a large electric-gobbling 6000 sq. ft.) made sure my electrical panel was up to snuff, assessed my usage from my bill, and quoted a firm price which they kept to down to the last penny. They arrived on the day agreed, installed the entire equipment (which for this house was very large) in one day. They gave me personal tuition on its operation. Today, I had my first outage, and the machinery operated exactly as promised. Within 30 seconds my electricity was automatically restored, completely, throughout the entire house, and turned off automatically when power was restored. I recommend them highly. So. Cal. Edison has become increasingly unreliable when there is rain, wind, or for no reason whatsoever. Since power outages make me crazy, I wanted to invest in a powerful standby generator. Generac generators are rated highly by Consumer Reports and by customer reviews. I had no idea about choosing a vendor and was assigned two to evaluate by Generac (Generac, by the way, also has a great customer service team). Both local vendors were excellent. However, we went with LT Generators due to long time experience and better price/deal. Would recommend LT Generators highly. Be sure to ask questions of the technical people so you know exactly what the installation will require and what you can do to prepare. The people that work for LT Generators are all very nice and professional. They are very willing to help and answer all questions. Today, Aaron - an outstanding technician from LT Generators - performed annual maintenance on the generator that provides backup power for the indispensable system operating the pumps that transfer sewage from our storage cistern into the City's sewage pipes. The homes depending upon the system would be uninhabitable if the DWP power went out and the generator failed to provide backup power. I spent an hour today quizzing Aaron on all aspects of our system. He was extremely knowledgeable, very articulate and quite personable. My "old" generator had to be replaced. It was a 7.5KW Generac that powered the sump-pumps. I needed a more powerful backup generator to power additional essential items and wanted to add my internet too. LT Generator agreed and offered me a more powerful generator. However, installment was delayed since Generac, the maker of the backup generator was behind and couldn't supply the more powerful generator. When it became clear that the delay would be extended beyond the schedule date, LT Generator offered me a more powerful generator at no added cost, AND ON TIME !!!
