Loc the business owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. He is able to explain the issues with your car so you understand your options. He offers a fair price to handle whatever needs to be fixed. I can only speak to having my brake pads, rotors refinished, struts and shocks replaced, and engine mounts replaced. Overall service was good and the workmanship was quality. Loc communicates well and called me right away when they discovered more issues that needed to be addressed. When my car was tow to shop, the owner shop come take a look and diagnostic my car have a big issue , gasket is burn , my engine the oil not pump up, need to replace engine. He did order replace another engine , rebuild gasket, replaced transmission fluid , oil change. He do very fast early than he tell me. Francisco from JF highly recommended LT Auto and said it was where he brought his own car when it needed care. When we arrived, Francisco introduced me to Loc, who let me know that regardless of if it was just a dead battery or a dead starter, he could get my car running again. Which it did as soon as he tried to turn it on. Great. But he said he would look at everything and figure out what was wrong. I asked if while he was at it, could he change my oil? "We do everything!" was his reply. Awesome. I went into wait in the lobby, and soon after, Loc came in to tell me that it was just my battery, and to have me fill out some paperwork. At that point, I asked if he would also be able to fix my broken passenger side mirror, which I had broken in a moment of retardation when backing up one day. "Of course! We do everything!" He went to go check it out, and then let me know that they didn't have the part, but they could order it from the manufacturer and have it the next day. Awesome again. Getting my battery and oil change took no more than an hour, and there were a bunch of other cars there. The next day when I came back for my mirror, it took no more than 30 minutes, and again, a whole heap of cars where being worked on. They were fast and efficient, and they certainly didn't try to get me to do extra stuff with my car. I feel confident that if I needed work done on my car, they wouldn't take advantage of the fact that I know next to nothing about the inner workings of automobiles. I have no real idea of how expensive car repair work is normally, but I felt that what I paid was reasonable: it was around $300 for the new battery, the oil change and the new mirror (with labor). If that sounds way expensive, someone please let me know. I'm just a girl and don't really know about such things. read more

I went to this place to get my timing belt and water pump done. Over the phone, he was really nice and everything. When i got to his shop he was very welcoming, to get my business, Also he stated that he is going to use all oem parts. But he didnt!!!!! He used oem parts on all the belts but not on the WATER PUMP. When i came back there to pick up the car, he was very rushing like he didnt take me serious at alll. Slide my car and hand me the keys. THATS IT. Very BAD SERVICES!!! He didnt pop up my hood to show me what he have done or anything. Just give me my car keys and walk Awayyy. Overall i dont think that i will be comming back to his place again....... read more

I took my 2002 Saturn SL to this place, because a family friend recommended them. They said the service was good, and the prices were reasonable. I had a "Service Engine Soon" light coming on intermittently. It is an emissions problem indicator. The owner, Loc, was very nice, and I told him the family who recommended him. He knew them, and confirmed that all the members take their vehicles to him. I felt comfortable at that point. He told me the diagnostic would be 65 bucks, which was less than other shops I had gone to. That was a good start. I had brought the car in at 10am. About an hour later he called me and told me what the diagnostic revealed. I needed a new part that regulated my fuel consumption. I told him fine, get the part and do the work. The car needed to be there for a few more hours. When the time rolled around to pick up the car, nobody called me, and I ended up calling them. I didn't like that. Then, they told me it would be another half hour! Eventually, I got a call to pick up the vehicle. When I saw the bill, I noticed that the labor was a bit over a hundred bucks (it included the diagnostic cost), and the part was 175. The whole bill was a shade under 300. I was happy my car was fixed, and Loc was very kind and thanked me for the business. He gave me the old part to take home. So, upon arriving home, I proceeded to research the cost of that part. I found it on-line for 80 to 90 bucks LESS than what I was charged at the shop!! I could have ordered it myself and saved a bunch of money. However, after calculating the diagnostic cost to even discover the problem in the first place, and the labor to install it, I only lost out on about 40 to 45 bucks having them do the work. I realized that I would have had to go through a lot of hassle to try and figure out what was wrong with the car myself, and then repair it! So, in that light, I guess it was worth the cost of taking it to a shop. I am told his labor cost was lower than most places anyway and that made me feel a little better. I am pretty sure if the car needs repairs again, I will take it there. In the end, it is worth it, and not as pricey as other places. read more

I own a '73 Toyota Corona, a '91 Toyota MR2, and a '2001 BMW 740iL and care a lot about how my cars are maintained and equally important - how thoroughly their infrequent problems are diagnosed. I was an active duty aviator in the armed forces for over 20 years and unashamedly admit to being a fussy old guy when it comes to my cars. I didn't like it when aircraft engines malfunctioned at 25, 000 feet, and correspondingly I would not like it if my wife was driving alone and the car broke down on a jammed Interstate 880 in the dark and in the rain. So I care about who touches my cars. I found "my man" 10 years ago. My new bride had been taking her car to him for a few years before that. LT AUTO REPAIR handles all makes of domestic and foreign cars but one additional niche it occupies is that it specializes in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of imported vehicles. LT can handle all matters relative to engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering, coolant systems, air conditioning, etc. The whole gamut ... from simple defects to the most complex. What I like about his customer service is that LT, performs quality work for a very competitive price, is responsible, conscientious, responsive, honest, and only performs the work you authorize (does not try to rip you off), stays in communication with you so you know the status of his progress with your car, etc. The owner, Loc, has been in business for over 15 years. To me, that says something. He knows what he is doing and is consistent in his outstanding performance. It takes more than luck to stay in any business that long. Loc is "on site" all day every business day so he can oversee the progress that each car is making. Not surprisingly, LT AUTO REPAIR is one of the cleanest and best organized shops I have encountered. Loc is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. No need to fear that you may have a misunderstanding. You CANNOT go wrong if you at least talk to Loc and get a bid/estimate. Loc is a man of character who can be trusted with your second most precious asset - your car! I wish I had met Loc sooner than 10 years ago, but at least I finally "Hit the Lotto" by meeting Loc! I'll try to make this quick.Took my GF's car here because the car was overheating. Turns out we need to replace the head gasket. Since the mileage was also high, we decided to do the timing belt job since they're already in there. After we got the car back, the car was still leaking oil. We took it back. They fixed it. 2 months later, the timing belt snapped! Took it to VW and they said whoever did the job torqued something too tight which caused the belt to snap. After arguing with Loc, he agreed to fix it the engine. Ok fine...not even a year later the car now has what is called rod knock. Basically the motor that was recently rebuilt is going to take a dump anytime now...terrible mistake to come here. Proceed with caution!! read more

I was introduced to Loc by my nephew who takes his cars to him. I have a 2003 Honda Civic which previously had the motor replaced by a shady shop. Loc told me that the engine was gone. He replaced it and also changed the timing belt (and other belts) for less than the previous shop charged me to just replace the engine. After picking up the car and by the time I got home the check engine light went on. I called him and he said to bring it back to him. He did a diagnostic and said that it was the catalytic converter. He said the converter got oil on it when the old engine leaked. He said he cleaned it and that the light is off now (which it was). By the time I got the car home again the light went back on. I called him and told him that I think I should replace it. He said the cost of replacing the catalytic converter is expensive and that perhaps I should wait a few months since I just had the large expense of the motor. He said it won't cause any mechanical problems, the only issue that it might cause is that it might not pass the smog test when the time comes. Lo and behold, the light went off again and hasn't been on since. I appreciate that Loc was considerate of my situation and wasn't out to make more money off me. I since took it back for an oil change, which by the way, was done faster than Speedee oil! He definitely is my go-to mechanic now! read more
