We hired this company to do small handyman work and ended up using him to do just about everything…read more Why? Everything Marco and his crew do is done with integrity and professionalism. I couldn't be happier as I have found this company to be better than all the companies I have used over 35 years of home ownership (3 homes). They are timely, respectable, professional, hard working, and kind. They listen, they include you in decisions, they fix their mistakes or errors without any hesitation. The estimates are a little high compared to others, but I have learned it is because he builds in worst case scenario. They can do absolutely anything and have great ideas. What have I had done - kitchen sink repaired, stairs removed and replaced, hand rail fixed, all closets rebuilt, including custom build drawers. Install walk-in shower and floating sink/vanity. Install new medicine cabinets, new bathroom ceiling fans, light switches, tiling and regrout existing tiling. Install attic stair and renew installation and remodel as necessary. Painting walls and ceilings and install new flooring. Upgrade electrical panel and rewire home. Install power to an outside hot tub and add hot water bibb outdoors. Install emergency generator and wire directly to emergency panel. I mean it when I say they have done just about everything for us. I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful company and I recommend them to regularly on NextDoor and to friends and family.

Said when he came back he would have 2 guys to start the job showed up with 1 guy then left I think this person was new he was all over the place, Marco showed up about around noon with lunch for them the he started painting of course the deck was not fully painted, came back the following day there was 3 of them. I said once again you are going to give me 2 coats of paint he said yes. did not and left a whole section unpainted too, and painted over my solar box so the lights on the stairs cant turn off. Paint dripping not cleaned up touch ups not complete. I have a dog so a full second coat on the deck floor was very important. I am now stuck with 3 gallons of trim paint so now I have to complete the job I paid to have done. No matter how good the surface look when you don't get what you pay for is very disappointing.

He was extremely responsive (returning my call within a few hours or less), prompt in scheduling and performing the repair (arriving the day after initial contact, exactly at our scheduled time), and amazingly reasonable in price. And so nice! Like the kind, reliable Mr. Fix It in a small town. My whole family loved him. He also did a great job, most importantly, and completed the work on the door repair exactly as we requested in under an hour. When he was finished, he actually charged us less than his initial estimate, which was already lower than what others had estimated. We were very happy with his work and the experience overall. We haven't had to use him for anything else yet, but we will definitely call him when we do

Years later and we are still constantly dealing with reminders of why we regret working with RESSA…read more Don't let that nice photo of our modern house they posted fool you. We would not hire or recommend RESSA. We completely knocked down our old home to build a modern two-story house. We hired RESSA because they quoted us at the lowest price, but in the long run we ended up paying for it with more money, time and stress. We have held off posting about RessaBuilt but no other family should have to go through our experience! TIMELINE: The project took over a year longer than initially projected by RESSA. Keep in mind they had to return afterwards to fix multiple problems that were never resolved, including multiple ROOF LEAKS. (I recently had to call a roofer to come fix yet ANOTHER roof leak (on 10/25/2022). PERMITS We had to personally deal with WSSC to get the proper permits bc RESSA was unable to resolve the issues themselves. We had to personally deal with the county to make sure inspections were promptly scheduled. After months of not being able to secure certain required permits from the county, we took it upon ourselves to personally go to the permitting office, get the answers needed, complete the paperwork required, and secure the permits for RESSA. It was extremely frustrating, time consuming and something we as the client should not have had to do. Even permitting office employees were surprised at our level of involvement and openly expressed their skepticism as to whether the RESSA team had ever done this before. LACK OF MANAGEMENT They have a project management system but were unable to keep track of all project changes, which caused a lot of confusion, delays and unexpected expenses. RESSA was unable to keep track of tasks, timeline or the budget. We always had to go digging for emails and text messages because they were not keeping track of items properly. Many items they marked as completed were not in fact completed upon inspection. During the last month we had to physically be onsite to ensure subcontractors were showing up and tasks were being completed on time, because we had lost complete trust in RESSA's ability to manage the project. The Project Manager was unqualified. During our weekly walk throughs, he'd take notes on a piece of cardboard. LACK OF EXPERIENCE WITH MODERN ARCHITECTURE It was quickly apparent that their crew had no experience building modern homes, which resulted in tasks having to be redone numerous times and some were never able to be done at a high quality level. We have also openly questioned whether the RESSA team had ever done ground up construction before. MANY BUDGET ISSUES Near the end of the project, we were blindsided by a list of items totaling around $50,000.00 that RESSA claimed we owed. This occurred after we had to personally come out of pocket almost $20,000.00 for additional plumbing that was not budgeted for because RESSA had not warned us that the number of bathrooms in the new house would require excavating out to the street for expanded plumbing tubes, per county requirements. We also had to personally come out of pocket over $20,000.00 for a sprinkler system in the state of Maryland. Today (March 15, 2023), yet again, we have two (2) more ceiling leaks! It's never ending.

We hired Ressa to build an addition for our house in Washington. I very much regret the decision…read more The quality of the workmanship is fair to poor and the project management was almost non-existent. Don't let them fool you about BuilderTrend-- it's a project management software and is only useful insofar as the project manager is competent and organized. Our project manager was both overloaded and undertrained, and Joe was onsite only twice during the whole project. The subcontractors range in quality, but you can be sure that Ressa is going with the cheapest option every time. This is especially galling because of the enormous overhead I know that Ressa is pulling (I know this because several bills were erroneously sent to me). We've been in our renovated home for over a year now, and I find new ways to be disappointed by Ressa every day. Every surface that isn't square, poorly painted wall, or cheap and poorly installed equipment makes me sad and will continue to do so until and unless I hire a professional to repair. In retrospect, I should have taken the lack of good reviews as a sign. Don't make the same error-- make sure to do your homework and hire a general contractor with solid reviews. This company should not be in business.
