Our neighborhood recently switched to LRS from WM. We called their offices to inquire about their seasonal yard waste rates. The season runs from April thru November for $150. We became LRS customers as of May. When asked if the fee was pro-rated, we were told no. So regardless of when a customer decides to do the seasonal program, April 1st or October 1st, the amount is not pro-rated. That is ridiculous and a great way to lose business. read more

Gurnee hired them to provide garbage pick up, They said I could pay an extra $20 to haul away clay pots, I paid that bill but guess who never showed up. Yep, LRS. Five days later, they claim I was quoted the wrong price. Whose fault is that? The lazy company then would not give me a supervisor to take care of this. I have complained to the village as they hired this company. We homeowners did not get a vote on who to use This is service to our community? But they will want their bill paid in full right away! read more

Consistently missed pickups when cans are out. And they can't guarantee they'll come back the same day. Terrible

Bottom line: Absolutely the worst. You cannot reach anyone. If you are lucky and get a call back they'll hang up on you if the person on the other end doesn't know how to handle your issue--but they keep taking your money!! Horrible quality, horrible value. They have no accountability. read more

This is the worst disposal company in the city. We started with Auburn Disposal. They were so good and very polished. The customer service was impeccable. Then they were bought out by LRS Disposal. The service gets worse every year. And now it has hit rock bottom. There are missed pickups every other week. It takes forever to reach someone by phone. Your sales rep changes almost every year so it is difficult to get consistent customer service. They want all the business but they can't handle it. Don't use this service . read more

LRS is terrible. Been here for 16 years. LRS was forced on us. Always paid my bills. Their recycling driver drives by and does not pick up. Call company 5 or 6 times, each time on elernal hold ten get their voice mail, leave message to callus and they NEVER do.I wish I can give them zero stars. read more

Would be zero but they have denied me access to a yard waste bin after repeated calls and promises and today they broke my own yard waste bin. Web site says open til 5 but according to billing dept they are not there at 4:45 - must be nice to leave early ! The collector has refused to take some of my yard waste and left a mess - I believe it's because I have a large lgbtq flag on my house. All of my neighbors have the equipment promised. I pay my bills on time and I am at work when they come - unbelievably bad customer service access. read more

They are terribly lazy. Our village requires us to pay extra for them to pick up larger items. I paid extra for them to pick up a toilet. For over a month they refused to pick it up because I didn't "break it down." A TOILET! How the hell do you break down a toilet and why in the world would that be a requirement? And what is the point of paying extra for them to pick up a large item if it needs to be made a small item? Can't wait until their contract is up. Plenty of residents are extremely frustrated with their service, so hopefully they won't be our provider for much longer. I'll def be very vocal about opposing renewing their contract. read more

Negative five (-5) score for LRS (Lakeshore Recycling Systems) service in Illinois. Gosh! Look at all these complaints. I contacted LRS for four (4) weeks starting April '25 & now it's May '25. No resolution. LRS has TIGHTLY controlled contract methods (one way only). I'm Trying to accomplish one easy task. I merely want to "switch out" one large garbage bin with a smaller garbage bin. That's it !! I can't get a hold of a supervisor, or the CEO, or Director of Operations as they want the public to deal ONLY with AI, chat boxes, CHATGBT, algorithms, email, or text. No resolution in 4 weeks now despite my dogged determination. read more

They lost one star because of the phone service experience but I got a hold of Freddy Delosantos and he made the day! Freddy literally walked into managers offices to get my issue resolved when nobody would help including my representative. Bad experience turned into a positive experience and all it took was one person full of passion for his business to make things right for the customer even if not a part of his field.
