That first interaction alone made me decide to come here versus big box stores. The staff is very professional and ensures that the correct documents are needed for all transactions. I do value this so that the correct laws are being enforced when purchasing a firearm for anyone. The staff is friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable about my purchase. Went for a FFL transfer had all the documents I used for my prior transfer at this store, actually kept all of the document in an envelope and didn't touch them as it was in the same month, second time they said they needed another form of ID and forced me to go to the walmart next door to get a fishing license. The staff here is completely unprofessional when asking about the documents I used for the prior transfer they informed me they didn't have any of the information nor could pull it up but could pull up specific details of the 1st transfer do argue with me. read more

Called to inquire about documents to buy ammo, mentioned I did not have a Real ID but a regular one, my registration to my car, and a hunting license. They confirmed it was good to go drove 30 minutes to be told I need another Govt form of ID. read more

horrible business. they do not care about wasting your time or money. they do not care about customer satisfaction. they will threaten you with the police for stating your frustrations with their incompetence & refuse to give owner information to report employees. i had contacted them inquiring about what documents i needed to have to purchase ammo before i made a 30 minute commute down. they confirmed that i had all the correct documents. when i arrived they proceeded to tell me that i needed a birth certificate, which they did not disclose before. i called asking to see who i spoke to & was told that they couldn't tell me. the guy said i was denied because my ID had federal limits (i let them know before it was not a real ID, said it was fine). when i let them know they were an incompetent store & always changed the rules he hung up on me. i called again to get the owners info & was told that if i contacted them again they were going to file a police report for harassment. so a customer is unable to explain their frustrations w the store w/o the threat of a lawsuit/charge !? i'm unable to ask for the owner's information to let them know their employees are providing incorrect information therefore losing customers ? i had called twice & nowhere in those calls threatened or harassed them, so threatening the police was completely unwarranted & way too far. keep in mind this is not the first time they've provided incorrect information to me, which is why i called in the beginning to make sure this time that i wasn't making an hour commute for nothing. i will never return to this store & you shouldn't either. plenty of places around who actually care about customer welfare & doing a decent job. read more

Professional, fast, and very easy to work with. I had a very easy time getting a firearm from Loyal Arms, and while it certainly wasn't cheap, well, it was market price so I guess that's fine. If you're looking for something difficult to find or want a very special piece (think PCCs or 2011s), the selection here is unmatched in Northern California. For any first timers - yes they are located in an office building. This continuously tripped me out but I guess it works for them. My wallet and the distance mean it'll be a while before I consider coming back, but if you're looking for a top quality place with a high end selection this is unbeatable. read more

Initially came here for a ppt for a curio and relic; ended up coming back weeks later to buy a firearm from them. It's one of the first LGS (local gun shop) that I have been to that is in a really nice white collar office building/setting. Entry is different, walk into a building that has other suites as well. Definitely different than other gun stores I have been to; not just a store front on a Main street/road/avenue in an industrial or commercial/financial district. It's kind of hidden way where it's not visible from the main road, street, or ave. It was really nice. Parking was very convenient; plenty of space. They have a good selection, if an item is not available inside the store such as a firearm, ammo, or accessories; it can be ordered through them or they can order it for you. An example is a large MTM ammo crate ACR-72, if I would have went online elsewhere to order to ship myself I would have paid around a total of $40-$45. They had it for only about $23 for free ship to store.... Oh, and their prices on Glocks are very competitive; it costs less than big box. Way better to support local than big box. The folks there were really nice. I wouldn't mind making the drive to come back again. read more

Loyal Arms - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Folsom, California

I've always liked using Loyal Arms for my ammo and gun purchases. However, my advice is don't go in there on the weekends, even if it's something simple like picking up prepaid ammo. The doors are locked and they ask you to wait outside, Saturday it was 100 degrees, unless you're lucky enough to have another customer let you inside. Start to finish was over an hour. Staff had to hear my complaints because the owners were nowhere to be found. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put up a sign on a locked door asking people to call them then be told there's 3 people ahead so just wait outside in 100 degree weather doesn't have any common sense. No excuse for this level of poor service. It wasn't so much the wait, but the fact that there are restrooms inside and water fountains that can't be accessed during the heat. Poor planning by the owners. read more

4 stars for the staff because they were great / 1 star for the owner and experience = 2 stars (Makes sense in my head). Do yourself a favor and travel a little further for a far better experience, especially if you're browsing and looking for a broad range of options to hold and feel. There's pictures on the wall of the guns they have for sale and you're left staring at them to make a decision. The environment is a bit uncomfortable, a small space in a larger office building and filled with safes to narrow the space even further. If there's more than 3 customers you'll likely find your service interupted while you dodge people left and right as they make their way past you. Not a fan. Additionaly, the owner struck me as unwelcoming and I will not be going back. There's a number of more welcoming and 2A friendly gun stores in the area. read more

The communication from the company really needs to be improved. I get it, they are busy, but that means they are making money and could afford to hire help. The office where the Co. is located is very small and crammed. They have Ammo for sale if you are willing to pay $45 for a box of 9s!!!. The guy is a bit rude and would want to charge you $5 for storage per week for a gun, even though they were the once that did not let you know that it has arrived. They phone systems is not letting you to connect with them. I guess I will give them one more chance to impress me, but then I am out. read more
