I had several dealerships to choose from as I was searching for new/cert used car. I ended up here…read morebc jeep was exactly what I needed. The experience has certainly changed thru my years. I didn't go in haggling and stupid me let my guard down just to get a deal done. The credit app/ process imo is less than straight forward as they present you with " options" on your payments ( they initially DO NOT show you the payments WITHOUT some form of EXTRA warranty on it) When I declined any warranty I was hounded by credit manager for next 10 mins and basically he insinuated how careless I was being for not choosing any! Upon arriving home I noticed various things I needed to repair ( wiper blades were falling off, fog lamp burned out , and now realized NO spare OR jack/ lug wrench at all!) People, maybe it's just me but for a 3 yr old jeep that has the SIMMONS ROCKWELL name on license plate frames ( oh yeh and NO license bracket on front!) and emblem on car you would think they could do a complete check for these NECESSITIES!! They probably got a good 1500-2000 profit on me and already will cost me another $250 to pay for these things since I've yet to hear back from them. Be careful

I had been going to a mechanic for years; however lately, he employed an individual for his front…read moredesk that wasn't capable of returning messagers left or phone calls as such I went in search for another mechanic and found Evinghams in Canisteo. I have a 2010 Nissan Rogue that developed a knocking noise which sounded as though it was coming from the rear of the car. My step son and his daughter had just moved back to NY from Alaska and he needed a vehicle to get to and from his new job here so there was some urgency in getting this noise fixed. Anyway, I called Evinghams and spoke to a person named Jake, briefly explained the situation and the noise I was hearing and asked him if he could take a look at it for me and if he thought ir ws safe to drive. His response was, essentially, sure bring it up and we'll get if sorted out and I wouldn't drive it as it sounds like a drive shaft problem. I explained that I had to find someone to follow me to his work shop as I was the only driver in my family to which he replied, no problem and when it is done I can bring the car back to you if you can't get a ride ... The following day I took the car up to him and discovered he was still open at 7:00pm so I gave the keys etc to his mechanic and left - I have two vehicles if anyone is wondering. The following day I got a phone call from Jake telling me the brakes were all rusted and pited from sitting around not being driven (which was true) but would get them done and give me a call when it was ready. The following day, I got the call from Jake telling me it was all done and that he found another problem that needed doing as well along with a very reasonable price. All in all, Evinghams is great in my opinion, honest, reliable, tyrustworthy, fast and from what my step tells me - does very good work as well. I would gladly reccomend Jake and his crew to anyone!
