Just when you think you've visited the worst Walmart in your life in another town.... whaam! , here…read moreyou arrive at the Walmart in Pecos Texas. Of course pretty much everything in Pecos Texas is overcrowded, run-down and expensive for what they really are. Except for Walmart! You get your standard Walmart prices but you do not have an automotive department, no 24 hours and even longer lines, but you do get to dodge Isles full of inventory that need to be broken down and items put on the shelves. Also, don't let me get started on the 20 plus people deep line because like overcrowded Pecos Texas everybody is trying to pack 10 pounds of crap in a 5lb bag, Walmart is no exception. This is one place that definitely needed to be a super Walmart. I'm going to hate to give this advice to you but the Family Dollar and general dollar down the road put this Walmart to shame. Now that you might have taken this advice, please do me a favor and do not go into these dollar stores until I am done finished and left this piece of a something town. I don't want my favorite places to get overcrowded. Oh, and before I go one more important thing, the parking lot! You think you're from Houston and driving /parking cannot get any worse than those Asians in Bellaire? Yes those people, but these people put the people that Park in Walmart to shame, actually make them look like professionals or something because if you try to come in here with a nice vehicle you can pretty much be assured you will have 6 Vehicles parked around a 4 space to park a lot around you in Every Which Way but Loose. We tried to go in town at Porters, and we did not find any food that a human being should eat…read more Thanks to this shop, we were able to restock our camper with fresh, organic produce and products in general. They even have a bulk section with a lot of spices, so that was nice. It is a little bit pricey but I guess that's the cost to pay to be autonomous in the desert for a few days. Definitely the best stop you can make before Big Bend National Park.

The new store is a nice upgrade, the prices are higher but looking at the travel to bring Alpine what it needs and the cost of shipping etc... I understand the higher price. This store is a good place to shop if you're in need, if you don't like what's offered then there are other options Dollar Store, Blue Water, and you can even have things shipped! The managers and staff are helpful and kind, personally I am happy with Our Porters, and living in a small town it's a puzzle piece that helps me get by and get the items that I want and need.

After what I spend in that store every month it's an outrage and of course no manager is ever available! Even if they would it wouldn't make any difference. On top of that the alies are barely manageable due to carts used for customers in home delivery. El Paso deserves a better alternative to Walmart. Albertsons really is a valuable alternative due to their high prices. Walmart continues to disappoint!!!

This particular Dollar General is chaotic. Shelves are not stocked well, but there seems to be…read moreplenty of items needing to be stocked. I think the lack of employees is the problem. I think I saw one person working. This place could use a good cleaning. I don't blame the employees for the lack of items on the shelves, I blame whoever is in charge there. The aisles that have items are all messed up and there's no way to find things. Part of this is the customers who rummage thru stuff and just throw it wherever, instead of putting it back where they got it. If you really need anything, perhaps you might find it there. Just don't need anything beyond every day simple items.
