The worst customer service experience ever !! The cashier would not change a $20.00 bill for 4 $5.00. After what I spend in that store every month it's an outrage and of course no manager is ever available! Even if they would it wouldn't make any difference. On top of that the alies are barely manageable due to carts used for customers in home delivery. El Paso deserves a better alternative to Walmart. This location continues to get worst. We purchased food from Walmart + yesterday and ever since eating some of it this morning I have felt sick with no energy. We had eggs, beans, floor tortillas, and chorizo. Now we all should know that most of Walmart's food comes from Mexico which is notorious for poor food conditions in addition they sell little American food. When's the last time you saw a pot roast at Walmart. The associates are all Mexican and most barely speak English. I've already refused 2 Chickens that were green. Now I ask you who in their right mind would try and sell a green chicken. I always thought that Robert Kennedy was a little off when he says the current food industry is killing us but now can see his point. read more

Every time I go to Walmart for groceries I'm shocked at the lack and poor quality of the foods offered. Twice I have got sick with their chicken and twice I have to return chicken for a refund. The associate's are terrible and most barely speak English. They act like they are in Juarez. Believe it or not there are Whites that live in El Paso even though the percentage is very low and it's got worst since the border was opened.? This is in reference to their deli department. I went to the deli to pick up roast beef and cheese. The individual at the deli spoke absolutely NO ENGLISH. Now I know from speaking with the Assistant Manager that if the speak no English they are required to get someone from thee deli that does. This she did do. I than asked to speak to the Manager who was RUDE and ARROGANT. I got absolutely no where with him. So I get his supervisor's and rest assured he will be hearing from me. Decent Walmart. It serves it purpose and the people are usually polite for the most part. The produce is definitely better than most Walmart which makes me happy! It's always a good amount of people at this location but when it comes to the registers it normally flows pretty well. I love how they utilize the workers they have on hand to man the registers so just about all the registers have someone. They now do offer a self checkout section which helps the flow of customers as well. There is a auntie Annie's, subway, western union, ATM, nail shop and a customer service at the front that you can handle your business at. The only negative thing I really have to say is for the electronics section employees, make sure if you are unaware or just simply unsure about something ask rather than telling the customer you don't have it. An employee did that to me and when I left and called they told me they had to look it up, well once they did they really did have it . So it's important to ask other co-workers when helping a customer. read more

We have lived in Horizon City for the past 7 years. Unfortunately the Walmart in Horizon has gotten increasingly worst and this year it's horrible. Yesterday I tried to use my Bing rewards and it wouldn't work. I called an associate and she seemed surprised that it didn't work when she tried it. I was than taken over to customer service where I was informed that they no longer accept that type of reward. Really two days ago it worked fine and now you don't accept it. Apparently store policy changed, again, but no one bothered to tell any associates. This is do typically Walmart. Junk products, sub-standard food and prices that go up on a daily basis. One other item to mention. On that same day someone had spilled a jar of olives and two associates where just standing there looking at the mess but doing nothing. Who on GOD'S name do they hire? Personally I will never use another scanner again. They are constantly breaking down and your always calling for some associate to correct an issue. Horizon City needs new leadership. The lack of competition is costly. El Paso needs new leadership. The city council is terrible! read more

We just finished grocery shopping at Walmart. Gee-prices all of a sudden went up. O'H and it just happened to coincide with the "SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER" that was issued today. Horizon City and rest of El Paso needs more competition. Walmart controls the entire area. Albertsons is no competition! What we need is a truly discount grocery store like ALDE'S. Not to mention the place was like a zoo. Most needed items were out of stock ( which I guess is understandable) The pharmacy was.more organized which is unusual since the pharmacy is where the problems have been lately. UPDATE: 5/30/20 This Walmart just keeps getting worst. Me and wife went to return a no contract cell phone. We had a copy of the original receipt ( I keep all my receipt in a file and print them out when needed). The associate didn't say a thing about the copy of the receipt but when we went to the customer service area they. Wouldn't accept it. The associate said she couldn't accept it. What BS. One accept's it the other doesn't. This Walmart's has become a joke. On top of this we were almost hit by a car who just couldn't wait to get into an already under stocked and over crowed store UPDATE; Just finished grocery shopping which should have taken no more than an hour but turned into a nightmare. Don't go the wrong way or some kid noised 20 year old will tell you YOUR GOING THE WAY and to turn around. Once you turn around it will take you around 2 additional lines just to get one item. O'H and don't have your cart anywhere but the crossed lines. One ways all over the store. Just a nightmare. Just close the damn store and do mail order but then again they are not nearly stocked. A truly terrific Walmart, it still has that new Walmart smell! The first thing I noticed was that the grocery section is on the right and home goods are on the left, which is inverted from Walmarts in El Paso, but it's actually how new locations across the country are laid out. I love that it makes me feel like I'm not in El Paso! (technically I'm not, but it's the same County) Very clean and navigable store, and it's not super crowded! Friendly staff! Great service and although there are always many customers, the lines don't tend to be long.

The major problem with this Walmart Superstore is that their scanner's are down frequently. Today on the pharmacy side three scanners were down, leaving only two functional, which of course backed the line up substantially. Now I realize this was Saturday afternoon but for Gods sake hire some cashiers. Personally I don't mind the scanners but I would much rather use a cashier. In addition there is always some issue with the scanners which requires you to call an associate. Now usually the associate's response quickly but that doesn't take away the fact that cashier's are more customer service focused. I still enjoy interacting with people but Walmart has increasingly got away from personal interaction. The other issue I have is their constant price increases. The price of food goes up weekly on numerous items. Now I am fully aware that transportation costs have increased but isn't about time that Walmart absorbs some of that cost you can also add the constant shrinking of the packages ( getting less amount while the prices increases ). In short Horizon City needs competition. Something that I don't think is coming. This Walmart has nearly a Monopoly on food. This has got to change. Families in Rl Paso are not rich. In fact we have some of the lowest family medium income in the country. You would think that a store as rich and large as Walmart would give that some consideration. read more

One of best run professional Walmart's . The store is well stocked and the staff friendly and helpful. I'm their 3-4 times a week for grocery shopping and miscellaneous items. The parking lot is large with plenty of room. The self check out is great and the store stocked with brand name items as well as "Great Value ". Very rarely do I not find an item I needed. read more

This is a fairly new Walmart, only been open since October 2013. So thankful it opened up, because it is close to home as well as being far enough outside of el paso it doesn't get super crowded. It does have a Subway, as well as a Sportclips barbershop. This Walmart also has a good Ammo selection, for those interested. The only downfall is that during peak periods, there never seems to be enough lanes open, but I think that issue is more Walmart in general, rather than just this store. So i ordered the new Xbox online from this Walmart and the people who worked here were liars. My order was ready and processed for pick up and some one kept saying i had to wait until i get an email and "wait" until the next day. I kept calling back anyways and find out from the person i spoke to that i had until 8 pm that night to pick it up or my order would be canceled. They are so lucky i didn't know the names of the people i was talking to when i got there. This Walmart is trash. Would not recommend ordering online from here. read more

This is good overall Walmart store. The selection's are good. Their are a few areas where it could be improved, such as office products. This seems small but for an example they do not carry the UN-Ball jet stream but it is on their on line store. Other than that I find the prices and selections good.
