Lowes is slow to change the in-store price tags, often the tags show last week's sale but will scan at the non-sale price. I would advise against shopping on Wednesday as the in store tags are often not updated until late Wednesday or Thursday. Several times I have seen elderly people sitting on the side walk in front of Lowes, I would recommend they install a bench , like most supermarkets, so their patrons dont have to sit on the ground. read more

Everything!! This place is a joke! I feel sorry for the folks in Tucumcari that have limited transportation that have to there!! I'm not addition I feel bad for the majority of employees that work there as obviously either they have extremely poor management or the company is intentionally trying to screw over the folks that live here with their pricing and poor review of expiration dates on products!! On another trip to Lowes on March 23 2023 the cashier said she could not check me out as she was closing but as I was cashing out at another line, I noticed she was checking out another person who showed up later than I with a much larger order. The cashier seemed to be giving this person preferential treatment for some reason, perhaps she was a friend or relative, my companion thought I was getting the shaft because of my ethnicity. read more

Glad I stopped here to get some groceries despite the negative reviews. All employees wear masks and doors post that mask-wearing is required to enter the store. It's decent for a supermarket along Route 66. I was surprised to find cauliflower snacks, wholly guac and other paleo/keto'ish products. Lowe's is the WORST grocery store in town which is surprising since it's the only grocery store in town. It could easily be the best but it is not. Despite this being a small community, the owners of Lowes choose to price gouges, sell inferior products & completely disregard the customer. The mobility challenged carts are never charged. They are very rarely fully staffed in peak times making customers wait in long lines to be checked out. They change prices of regular items sometimes daily making it impossible to follow a grocery budget. They often sell rotted food. It's ridiculous & disgraceful how they treat this isolated community by raising the prices each week to make themselves rich. It's gross. I leaved my truck at Fly J and I went walking up to this store ( the only one with Western Union at town available) Finally arrived I'll be there waiting almost one hour a for service to send money a Western Union transaction. The employee told me, my license drive ( Legal ID proof) it's not enough to complete the transaction. She asked for my passport! God sakes! Nobody cares always a passport. Lowe's is surprisingly good for such a small struggling town. There is an excellent selection with a touch of selections for Mexican and Indian tastes. The only thing missing is an expansive deli section with fresh soup, salads, etc. However, I assume the area is not able to support this feature. Another scam from this store is when they have a buy one get one free sale. Approximately 2 months ago they advertised sirloin, B.O.G.O. so i went to get some. I picked up a package of sirloin and it was priced at 9.99 a pound. Last week it was not on sale and i paid 6.61 so i asked a meat dept. employee if this price is correct. He said yes its correct. I called him a thief and left. Went back 2 weeks later and sirloin was priced at 6.68 per pound. I sent the company an email complaint of price fixing. As usual the co. sent my complaint to the store manager. they always do that so they dont have to address problems. She says, i assure you we dont price fix. I asked her, well what the hell do you call it. Over 3.00 a pound more cause its a B.O.G.O.F. sale??. Never herd from her again. The N.M.A.G,s office told me they know tucumcari by the amount of complaints about lowes market. Fair trade commission said exactly the same thing. read more
