Jim in Appliances was outstanding! Knowledgeable and extremely fun to work with. He's the type of associate that Lowe's use to have throughout the whole store. We purchased a LG Washtower and had them install. Contract install team from KC was OUTSTANDING! A difficult tight install into a bathroom closet. Team arrived on time as scheduled, removed old appliance, installed new and cleaned up and hauled off old machine. NO MESS LEFT. Costco team (KC) rudely refused install and I refused and returned product. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - LG Washtower - Hardware Stores Near Me - Topeka, Kansas

I don't get all the one star ratings. I only go to this Lowe's as I simply tired of Home D. Bought a washer and dryer on two separate occasions, separate deliveries with no issues. Just bought a garage door opener. I had an especially good experience with an employee who helped with a bunch of assorted nuts, bolts and washers to return. I had such a good experience I tracked down her manager and filled out the survey with her mention. I pay a little extra but it's a cleaner store with nicer staff. read more

I purchased a refrigerator. It arrived all bent up. It will take three weeks to replace. The staff was too incompetent to figure it out. I will never shop here again. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - They still have containers to recycle glass‼ - Hardware Stores Near Me - Topeka, Kansas

If I could give Lowe's in Topeka, Kansas, a zero for their appliance delivery, I would. I had two adult children at home today who stated the delivery people did not ring our doorbell or knock, they simply left a note at 2:31 PM I'm currently in the hospital and received their voicemail at 2:51. I immediately called Lowe's. Basically they told me it was my fault for not answering my phone even though I explained to them that my two adult children were home and were waiting on the delivery. And never mind I'm in the hospital. No sympathy there. AlI my fault. I simply told them if they couldn't deliver it today, to cancel my order. I'm hopeful it doesn't take forever for me to get my money back from the Store. This is truly piss poor customer service, especially when you blame the customer for your delivery drivers not pushing a doorbell or knocking at the delivery address. Beyond pitiful. read more

I'd give a zero if I could! Drive on by! Don't even go into that place. The St. Joseph, Missouri one! DO NOT BUY AN APPLIANCE ESPECIALLY A MIDEA! They DO NOT stand behind it at all. Broke after less than six months! They will not repair it or take it back! So we are just out $800! The manager will not stand behind why it broke and just says they will have to do some better training with their associates. How does THAT help US with OUR situation! read more

Today I went to Lowe's to get some lumber but the boards I needed were huge. 2x6x12 boards and I needed 7 and I needed them cut. I could see pretty quickly that i was not going to be able to check the details of each board (straight-no twists or bumps or other not great things) and almost left. But!!! But a really super helpful, kind, strong employee came to help and he was the nicest, sweetest, most understanding young man. His name is Konrad and I want to thank him on here. He also loaded my lumber in my truck and bungeed it down. I have not always been so blessed when I go to these kinds of stores. read more

WOW. I've been going to Lowe's for decades, and for the past ten years I have gone exclusively to them for my hardware and materials needs. I just moved to KS where people are supposedly nicer. The store manager Scott is a real jerk. He refused to take my order back, then when I arranged it through customer service he charged me $1,000 - $1,000!!!!! - to return the order. When I first spoke with him he had claimed there was some kind of disclosure information when I placed the order but I didn't see it. If it's not obvious it violates federal consumer laws. I've moved to so many houses over the years that Lowe's has made a fortune off of me. I will never, ever go to a Lowe's again. They used to be my exclusive provider. That's over. I'm cancelling my credit card. This guy is a major ahole. I will be sending something to their legal department and will be sending a complaint. The 800 number refused to give me Scott's last name and I got the sense that you will just get the run-around with the legal department. So the bottom line is, avoid them like the plague. Dishonest and nasty. A real jerk. He should be selling used cars or knocking on doors trying to sell solar panels. Gross. read more

Lowes customer service really sucks. I ordered a stove and refrigerator online for delivery. They didn't give us a time for delivery, we both work and are not home during the day. They showed up at the home when nobody was home, sent a text that couldn't be replied to with no contact number and said they'd wait ten minutes. When I called the store to try to reschedule delivery the guy I spoke to was very unhelpful and basically said I would just have to be home on delivery day, take a day off. He was just short of rude. I canceled the order, guess I'll try Home Depot or Menards read more

Higher prices than competitors, poor service. They have been unable to mix paint for several days now, leaving me with a halfway completed living room. Will never shop there again! read more

Flurry of phone calls (four) alternating by the window blind installers, then the store, regarding custom blind order. Latest, the installer will pick up "in store materials" and come install on Monday. They'll charge me a little more for that. This is on a $1300 deal. The store people didn't know about the installers, and the installers didn't know about the order or where it was. read more

Lowes should create their own name for "customer service" because that phrase absolutely does not exist here. I will pay 10 times the price of an item just to avoid going here if I have to. I have tried multiple curbside pickup orders here for somewhat large items. I checked in on the app as instructed both times, and both times I waited 20 minutes and nothing happened. So I called the phone number on the sign and someone said they would tell someone else I was there so someone else could go get the order. Long story short I had to go inside and find a person and watch that person actually get my order in order to actually get my order. I had only done curbside pickup because I was in the middle of moving to a new house and hoped it would be quicker that way, but boy I was wrong. I've also tried to get flooring there and talked to 3 different people before I found one willing to actually look for the flooring I needed. The others just said "That's not my department". The Lowes app said 150+ boxes of this flooring were in stock. The flooring guy was nice, but I found it pathetic that he walked around for 30 minutes trying to find this flooring only to tell me "Sorry I can't find it". No "but we can order it" or "let me talk to the store manager to see if we can figure out where it is". Just a blatant "sorry can't find it". I actually had several other items I was going to purchase that day but I put it all back and left l, and I refuse to ever step foot in Lowes again. read more

NOTE: Lowes will not return Christmas decorations even if you have the receipt. Half of my light string died before Christmas. I went to return them and was told "unfortunately we will not take back Christmas items". Well, unfortunately I am now out $30. Wouldn't even offer in-store credit, even though I had a receipt! This is one of the reason I shop across the street at Menards, hassle-free returns and helpful staff. Thanks Lowes for selling junk and refusing to offer a resolution. read more

I went there to pick up some wood for a project plus look around for other items, I asked a manager Joe if he could help find a few things. This manager was rude, mumbled something under his breath about other work, and sent me to an isle with cleaning items... not the items I was looking for!!! read more

I had the worst experience when ordering carpet. They ordered the incorrect carpet. Tried to hide it and install the incorrect carpet. When I discovered it and contacted their office I was disconnected several times. When I finally got through was told I would receive a call back. Never did. Had to go into the store and was dismissed and told I needed to order different carpet and start the process all over. They then never confirmed the second order and failed to actually order it. Then accused me of stealing the original carpet. I demanded a refund and have now been charged twice. I have had carpet pad exposed on my flooring for over a month and they have still not resolved this. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau to report them. If I could give them a zero stars I would. Horrible experience. read more

My wife and I stopped to buy 4 five gallons of water. I am handicapped and we are both over 60. My wife went in and exchanged the empty bottles. She asked for help loading them and was told no. I am not a reviewer but my dearest Lowe's has earned it. Placed an online pickup order and two whole days later went to pick it up (200 miles). When I get there, they want to charge me literally $1,100 more than I originally paid. The item was on sale, yes, but the price they wanted to charge was more than the original, non sale price - they wanted to charge the case price (for 24 tiles) for EACH tile. ????. Why would they not cancel the order if the price was, supposedly, drastically wrong??? pain, lowes, you cause me pain. The silly little tile was a several hour long ordeal in the end. read more

I bought a freezer Last Friday. They gave me a delivery of Monday. I got a call from the people that the truck was broken down & they wouldn't be able to deliver till Wednesday or Thursday. I said Friday will work for us. I got a call Thursday night saying they will call you in the morning. They have my cell number. I didn't hear from them, so at 9am I called. They told me that they call 30-40 mins before delivery. Ok, where are they? They are having difficulties this morning with delivery they will call you 30-40 mins out. Then at 11:00am I get a call that the driver called in sick & they have to reschedule me!!! Do you see my frustration!!!! You couldn't have called me first thing when he called in sick??? I know people get sick, you can't help that. BUT CALL ALL YOUR DELIVERY PEOPLE RIGHT AWAY!!! ITS CALLED COMMON COURTESY!!! That's what makes me upset They redeemed things by a polite manager. Gave us a discount for all the troubles we encountered. Also when they delivered item was damaged. They returned it & came back with a new one later that evening with volunteer guys from the store. Very nice guys. Then we got our bill they said they would compensate things. None on our first bill. Called again assistant manager took care of the problem. They have redeemed themselves with polite & good with customer service. read more

In August of 2020 I paid in full for two bathroom vanity countertops,, One an expensive 82" quartz top.. It got delayed, then lost, then found, finally installed on12/07/2020,, only the side quartz pieces were damaged,, They've run me around, forgotten to order them, switched me to new people 'in charge" of the order who never called me back, spoke to the manager in March who seemed so dismayed at the run around, now it is july and i've never had a phone call, no follow up, no side pieces to finish the job. I called BBB and lowes corporate customer care and they've offered some of the labor cost back,, not the cost of the counter top because,, wait for it,, the side pieces aren't manufactured anymore so they can't replace them. but they say they've fufilled theyre responsibility because the countertop was put in place. The side gaps are too big to just caulk or tile next to the wall so, really can anyone believe this! read more

First off a huge THANK YOU to Jared in Millwork for helping me load my French doors and making sure they were secure in my truck before I left! I purchased a set of French doors online to pick up in store. About an hour after my purchase Jessica from Customer Service called leaving me a very detailed message with instructions on everything I needed to pick up the doors. Thank you again! When I arrived to pick up my doors the employee at the customer service desk was polite. However, she wasn't sure exactly how to do an in store pickup. After about 15 minutes another associate came to help her get the order ready and the second associate was very knowledgeable and helpful. read more

Went to Lowe's yesterday looking for paint thinner. I had a question but couldn't find anyone working in the paint area except for two guys stocking the shelves. I asked them both to page someone, one guy went to the counter and pushed the help button. It wasn't working. I went to the self checkout, as no clerks, ask that person for help in paint. She went to call someone and told me the phones weren't working. A young lady with red spiked hair came over and said she was working in paint area. I asked her my questions and guess what , she had no idea. Bought what I thought I needed and left. Extremely irritating to shop here unless you know what you need. read more

I've watched Richard in electronics be inappropriate with other workers and even customers. I've shopped at this store before and he's made me uncomfortable with the things he thinks are okay to say to women,I can't imagine what it feels like to work with him. read more

Between Lowe's and Home Depot, it seems like Lowe's has done better. They were here first. Lowe's seems to do better with a nicer appliance section and gardening. Home Depot seems to do better with contractors. The white tiling on the floor makes going inside Lowe's a little nicer. They seem to have just about anything you want in stock. Lowe's mails out lots of coupons which are worth using if you need something. If you're going to make a major purchase, stop by the post office and ask for a change of address packet. You'll get a 10% off coupon for Lowe's in there. read more

Sent the following email to your "customer care" three days ago and still no response.  We are 13 days in from the date of order with absolutely nothing to show for it.  Not sure what happened to your Topeka Lowe's store but I've heard similar stories of the new "attitude" there.  Not since Sears have I had an experience like this.  We've received two calls by confused "service" people who don't seem to know what the heck is going on.  You can be assured that this is the last thing I buy from your store.  Menard's & Home Depot will be getting our future business. "This has been an awful experience.  We received a call a few days ago and the rep asked if we needed installation.  I assumed placement was included but she said it would be $120 and that someone would call us.   Not only have we not heard a word for days but we aren't even able to reach someone in customer service.  We continually get transferred and then get hung up on or hear a message saying "number cannot be reached as dialed."  I honestly haven't had a bad experience like this since dealing with Sears, which I'm sorry to say is the worst company I could compare you to.  What is happening and when can I expect to get my dishwasher?  It's been almost two weeks without any word on when its coming.  Not very happy right now." read more

Went in to buy two new appliances. The employees who were working in that department couldn't have cared less about us. They were rude, made no eye contact with us and had no desire to sell us anything. Horrible customer service in the appliance department. Would never recommend this or to anyone. The only person that showed any kind of customer service at all was Cheryl from the customer service team. she was put back into the appliance sales area to help because they were busy. The lady in the appliance department with glasses and long dark hair didn't care about anything. We were trying to buy a refrigerator and dishwasher and a air conditioning heating unit, she said repeatedly I don't want anything to do with this order. She didn't want to honor pricing that was posted, even when she was told by a manager that the pricing was valid. came home called Nebraska furniture Mart spoke to a young man there and bought everything we are going to buy at Lowe's with a delivery date in the books and he was very pleasant. I would never go back to the store! read more

The store in Topeka has horrible customer services. We waited in the kitchen design area for over an hour. I understand finishing with a customer get it but then they left the area so pushed the button for service and somebody came over turned it off and said somebody will be with you. 30 minutes later still no one the girl that was there finally came back over and said do you have an appointment. Well I will be with you in a minute waited another 10 minutes went by and when we had enough and we're getting ready to walk we noticed she was helping yet another person and not us. So done with the Lowes in Topeka if you can go to the one in Salina they are so much more customer friendly. I will give them my hard earned saved money for my wife's dream kitchen. read more
