I'll go right out and say it: I prefer this Lowe's location over to the other one we have on Commonwealth Blvd. For one thing, this location is way closer to home. For another, the interior seems bigger and much more spacious. In terms of variety of products, to me everything looked the same, but the cashier who attended us was quite friendly. I think you do have to be much more careful in this parking lot though, but even then, this isn't a death trap by any means. Go and see for yourself. read more

Without a doubt the worse run store in Tallahassee. Nothing is ever where the app says it is just spent 30 minutes looking for large items and even the employees can't find them even though their owe inventory says they have hundreds I hate Home Depot but that's where I'm going because this place is awful. Last year, I had a horrible incident with a refrigerator installation from Lowe's took a month and a half a to get a working refrigerator installed I said then I would never purchase anything else from Lowe's. Well, my dumb ass had to go in Saturday and purchase a toilet with installation. I was told I would be contacted by an installer within 48 hours, well after two days past, I called Lowe's to check on the installation was told it had been sent to the installer and I should be contacted by the next day. The next day passed so I called back and I asked for the installers contact information The number they provided was not in service so I looked up the installer on the Internet and called them directly. Was told they have no record of my installation. In fact my phone number was associated with some kind oven installation. Go figure. I called back Lowe's and was transferred to a manager. She put me on hold and after 30 minutes never came back, so I called Lowe's customer service and canceled the whole order and order the toilet from Home Depot. They will now be my new go to. If you want something screwed up, you can definitely count on Lowe's to screw it up two times there won't be a third from .Lowes Customer service has gone to shit. . I would advise anyone to never ever get anything from Lowe's. They charged me $289 for installation after placing my order at Home Depot. I called a local plumber and they can install it for 139 if I'm unable to do it myself which I'm gonna attempt lol a huge savings so I guess I should thank Lowes for screwing up. there are way too many competitors to deal with poor service they care absolutely nothing for their customers or value them. I figured one time could be just a thing but twice they've screwed me on installation never again. It's a good thing because the toilet I wanted from their website was not in stock but at Home Depot it was in stock and ready to be delivered. As soon as I pay off my Lowe's credit card, which isn't much I will cancel it when I applied for a Home Depot credit card. I got $50 off my order so that on top of the savings from installation can't go wrong dropping Lowe's and they're poor ass customer service. read more

My problem is not with the local store. It is with the website. Multiple attempts to log onto my account were fruitless and I was not able to chat with anyone to solve the problem. The only suggestion was to clear the cache and that did not help at all and clearing the cache caused me to lose my connection with the chat person. This Lowe's was miserable to work with. We needed a new refrigerator after ours broke. Our landlord contracted the replacement, installation, and delivery with Lowe's. However, we were without a refrigerator for two weeks because of Lowe's lack of basic communication, logistics, and scheduling skills. They are impossible to talk to; if you call and actually reach a human, they can't help you and refer you to various overseas third-party contractors. It's like a huge inconvenient game of telephone, the opposite of efficient or pragmatic, and not worth anyone's time or money to deal with this sad business. read more

Ok, so Lowe's is not usually high on my list, particularly regarding in-store purchases where it takes forever and a day for someone to assist the customer. However, my most recent experiences have been surprisingly pleasant. This doesn't mean that customer service is on par, but I can say that the last couple of appliances we have purchased via Lowe's, along with the persons who installed the appliances, have been decent experiences. Extremely disappointed in this store. We ordered the same fan as the model that was hanging from the ceiling, same model number hanging from the fan. They came in the wrong color. Then they wouldn't let us exchange them for the original sales price. So now we will be waiting two more months until things hopefully go on sale again to change out the awful ceiling fans in the home we just bought. LOWES do better about hanging the correct sale sign from your floor models. This could've all been avoided. read more

The Customer Service department in this store is not good at all. The product I was looking for said there were 31 available at this store. After looking at the location the website said the product was located in and finding none, I went to the Customer Service department for assistance. The "Customer Service" person said that they must have the inventory available amount wrong and that there weren't any. I then went and tried to find someone who was working in another dept that might be able to help since Lowe's website said there were 31 available. All the employee had to do was look on the little computer phone they all carry to find the product. He walked me over, found the product and made sure I had all I needed. This location provides zero customer service and zero supplies. Today, came in looking for a freezer chest. They had two options. The boxes for them were busted up. Tons of employees on the floor not helping a single person. Can I give ZERO stars? Delivery service is a mess, managers lie to Corporate. I paid for delivery and it never arrived. I was promised three times that it would be delivered. They never answer the phone EVER. After 3 weeks, the store told Corporate it is sitting in the store for pickup. If I had a vehicle large enough to pick it up, I would not have paid $79 for delivery! I've spent thousands and thousands in this store over the past 5 years, but I'm changing to Home Depot. I have never been treated so poorly by any retail establishment. This is what happens when the left hand (the store) doesn't know what the right hand (lowes.com) is doing. Ordered a new zero turn lawn mower on Lowes.com I was given an approximate date of delivery that would take 18 days. Seemed a bit long, but it is summer so I knew these things were in high demand. 18 days later, I get an email stating I have a 4 hour deliver window for the next day. But the next day comes and no mower, so I call the delivery company. I'm told the local store cancelled my order. Wait, why?! They cannot tell me and instruct me to contact the local store who cancelled the order. Why would the local store cancel the order when I ordered on Lowes.com; again, they had no idea and said I needed to speak to Lowes. I call the local store, and I'm on hold for so long that their phone system hangs up on me. This happen 3 times, NOBODY at the local store is answering the phone. So as upset as I can be, I pile into the car and drive 1 hour to get to the store in Tallahassee. While enroute, I call Lowes.com and I'm told the local store cancelled my order, and they are unclear as to why this happen because whomever cancelled the order, failed to leave any notes on the file indicating why. I'm told to contact the Tallahassee store. I explain they are not answering their phones, so I've been forced to drive to the store. I arrive at the store and I get ahold of the Lawn and Garden Manager. I explain what happen and he begins to investigate. I'm told they (Lowes) hires a third party company to assemble big ticket items (BBQ grills, lawn tractors, zero turn mowers, etc), and they only do this for them on Mondays and Thursdays. Unfortunately, my mower arrived from the manufacturer too late in the day; and his 3rd party contractor could not assessmble in time to make it on the delivery truck. The Manager explains this should not have happen, and someone should have called me so I wasn't waiting around the house for a delivery that obviously wasn't comming. Garden Manager seemed genuine, and tells me he will PERSONALLY make sure my mower gets to me by Friday at the earliest, or by Saturday at the latest. I agreed as what transpired, while unfortunate, was out of his control. (Except for the not calling me thing) to which he said wouldn't happen again. Fast forward to Friday, no mower gets delivered but I do get an email Friday night stating it will arrive Saturday during a 4 hour delivery window. Okay, lets try this again . . . Saturday comes and goes and still no mower, and nobody calls me. I call the store and again I'm on hold for so long their phone system hangs up on me twice. So with murder in my eyes, I pile into the car to make ANOTHER 1 hour drive to go to the store to see them in person. While I'm enroute to the store, I tried calling a 3rd time and a Department Manager actually answered. I explained my situation and she starts to investigate. I explain to her that I'm beyonded pissed, as their lack of communication and follow through is costing me both additonal time and money; as I've had to take time off work in order to be home during their delivery window(s), and now I've been forced to drive over and hour (twice) to get to the store because nobody there can answer the phone; or when they do, and they have to put you on hold, your on hold for so long that you get hung up on. I also asked what happen to the reassurance from the Garden Manager I spoke with that said he would PERSONALLY assure I go this mower delivered, and the lack of communication wouldn't happen again. She is very apologetic, but offers me nothing but, "I'm sorry sir." After a short lived investigation, she tells me two different things that didn't make much sense. First she says they tested the mower before it was loaded onto the truck for delivery, but for some reason the mower wouldn't start; so they cancelled the delivery. I asked if they had more than one mower available, and she said they do, but unfortunately nobody from their 3rd party assessbly company arrived last Thursday, so the one they have is still crated up. Wait what?! So how is it that my mower wasn't assessbled Monday, but somehow got assembled when no assessbly team was their on Thursday? This was the question I asked and I got complete silence. Doesn't make any sense does it? Unless they had their employees trying to assessable the mower, and they did such a bang up job and that's why my unit isn't running. She quickly changes the subject and says she can get me the mower to me by next Tuesday. This is why I'm convinced that I need to shop local, and stop giving these big box stores anymore money. At the end of the day, they just don't care, nor do they have any meassure of service and integrity. "Thank you for calling Lowes, your call is very important to us" . . . until your waiting on hold for so long then all you hear is "click" as you get hung up on. The people at the customer service desk look like they resent their job. Most of the people shopping at Lowe's seem nice enough, so it seems unwarranted. The appliance delivery guys rush and are sloppy, I had to re-order a (special order) fridge because they broke the drip pan on delivery. I requested the door to hinge on the left, confirmed my order and it was delivered with the door hinges on the right. It was the end of the day and they rushed to make the change - and misthreaded the bolts... The door didn't deal properly. It was a huge ordeal that wasted multiple days of my life meeting the delivery staff for deliveries and repairs. Eventually my request for compensation was agreed upon with a $100 gift card... But that was not mailed until I called a month later to inquire. They do price match local prices and give an additional 10% off. You can another 5%? When you use your Lowe's AMEX. read more

We just had a refrigerator re-delivered because there was a mishap when the first attempt was made and the item damaged as it was being transported into the house. Judging from bad reviews here, seems I'm not the only one. Extremely disappointed. No help anywhere, but plenty of employees. I asked people in paint dept if they could call someone for me, but I was told to go to Customer Service... where there was a line. I pointed that out and they had someone call for me. I waited over 30 mins...no one ever came. During this time I searched the internet, found what I needed. The guy who requested the assistance for me walked by, told him no one ever came, that it wasn't his fault and I went to front to ask for a manager. He never came. I left and went to Home Depot...complete shock, emoyees were super nice, greeted me in different depth that I walked through and ACTUALLY helped me. I went to Lowes because I considered them a little more upscale, pretty, clean, whereas Home Depot is more of a construction look, but their service was a 10, by far surpassing Lowes and leaving it in the dust. Employees at Lowes looked unhappy, not very customer service oriented. I'll be placing my Lowes card away and using Home Depot. I hope HD keeps it up and it wasn't a fluke. read more

The store advertise appliances that are not in stock. The sales associates took my money for LG washer and dryer which were not in the store or warehouse. Didn't call me in delivery date. I called it told my items not in . I cancelled - got refund. Ordered another pair of washer& dryers after being told items in stock at their w/h. Again, waited after a couple of attempts by driver in Marianna. He was delivering a damaged dryer which had a dent. I refused no shipment. Asked for refund. Told by customer care they couldn't cancel or give refund because dryer is to be delivered Oct 5th .So I'm driving 22 miles to demand a refund for the dryer that I was told again today that is still not in their stores or w/h. read more

Lowe's has gotten so dependent on their AI And online interfaces that it is no longer possible for a non-professional customer to talk with a human by telephone who can actually help. The problem is that the online interfaces don't work either! Let me give an example: I placed an online order for store pickup,, so far so good. Then I get an email notification that my order is in - but here's the rub - there is no option for curbside pickup on the notification! So I call, wait five minutes for an answer., Only to be told I needed to speak to an 'associate' (fancy word for a low-level flunky) who then tells me to call back because they need to handle an order - and hangs up on me! I call back and ask for a manager through the automated interface. After waiting another eight minutes am hung up on again! Where have all the helpful home improvement people gone? Then get an email notification that I have picked up an order which was cancelled a week ago and an charged for it! What a thoroughly messed up outfit Lowes has become after they've chased all the helpful businesses out of businesses! Am taking my business elsewhere. read more

It is so hard to shop at Lowe's on Capital Circle NE. Used to be a favorite over Home Depot. Like the products they carry. But in the past 3-4 years, store has gone to pot, staff wise. Not friendly, not particularly helpful. Just one recent example: Was looking for ceiling light fixture this am around 9 am. Store not busy. Staff member was working in the isle & had gate up on end I needed to look in, but she had already passed the area I wanted to look in & was half way down the isle way past. Sign on gate "ask for assistance ". I asked her if she could open it for me to take a quick look. She said no, not until she was through. On the next isle over, they had another big ladder in the middle of the isle just sitting idle. There were no gates on either end because no one was working in the isle. So to look on that isle you actually had to go down halfway, look, go back & then go down the adjoining isle and around to the other end. Three isles in Lighting & all blocked so it was difficult to shop. This was my time allotted to shopping today so I justl left & won't be back. read more

Big, clean store in the same shopping mall as Publix. The sign is difficult to see from Capital Circle. They rent pickup trucks, which is very convenient for moving furniture, appliances, etc. Not the best options in some areas, though, and a lot of the items we asked about--specifically light fixtures--were out of stock. Also, don't go there for chalk paint (for refinishing wood furniture). They only carry one brand of a base that you then use to dye a few colors. Rather, go to Michael's (craft store). The hot dog lady outside on weekends has the best hot dogs! read more

In fairness to Lowe's: Staff always proactive in helping me. I was walking around aimlessly and one of the associates asked if he could point me in the right way. Aisle 27 was were I ended up. Large assortment of faucets to choose from - both three and four hole. Narrowed it down to a Moen 4-hole pull-out sprayer. My work as a professional handyman takes me to all of the building supply stores in Tallahassee, sometimes every day. Of the 4 Big Box building supply stores in town, two Lowes and two Home Depots, this Lowes without a doubt shows the worst management, from customer service (awful) to managing inventory (also awful). I drive clear to the other side of town to patronize a Home Depot that is very well managed and still manage to save time for my clients. I didn't arrive at this opinion overnight, but after many instances of awfulness. The windows and doors guy just left for his doctor appointment yesterday and no one even knew. I pulled out the books myself and read through my door options.
