Basically, just like every other BB&B, it's bright, stocked to the gills and filled with virtually everything conceivable that is homewares, linen, kitchen gadgets and so much more. I really can't comment too much on it, since it's the same at every one no matter where you go across North America (though I'm still looking for Christopher Walken to give me a magic remote control just like in the movie Click). I like going here from time to time, mostly to see what other type of gadget and tool is there to be had for my use, whether it be making industrial amounts of french fries to being able to make foie gras, halibut and bacon ice cream with their nuclear powered ice cream maker and automated car engine tuner. As for what's in the Beyooooonnndddd (echo echo echo), well, toys, discounted movies, candy and so on. While not exactly a great selection, the toys they do have are actually pretty tasteful and not the usual schlock stuff but something more high end (presently all kinds of Discovery Channel Kids science stuff, and I remember them selling kid versions of Night Vision goggles once or twice). Oh, and I do love the free demos of the coffee machines. While I own a Keurig myself, I find it so neat that I get ot have a ton of samples from the Nespresso and other machines, though they do get a little cross if you do try more than one...or six (sheepish look). Needless to say, I usually leave the BB&B pretty darn wired! Basically, this is a place I wouldn't visit often, but would be a place I would go to if I was doing a house or wedding registry and such. And off course, to go banshee on coffee. :)

DO NOT BUY FROM SMS APPLIANCES!!!…read more In September 2024, I purchased an $800 LG fridge from SMS Appliances for my basement suite. The fridge was delivered and plugged in by their staff. The unit remained unused while finishing touches were completed on the suite. Upon move-in, my tenant and I discovered that both the fridge and freezer were completely non-functional. I contacted SMS Appliances, but they refused to assist, claiming their 30-day warranty had expired. They offered a technician visit at my expense, so I scheduled one for February 13th. When the technician arrived, he only spoke Ukrainian, making communication difficult. While working, he caused a strong gas smell, alarming both me and my tenant. It turned out he was leaking refrigerant into the unit. He completed the repair in 30 minutes, and I was charged $241. On March 15th, my tenant reported the freezer had stopped working again. I called SMS five times, left three voicemails, and finally got a response from the manager. He agreed to consider my complaint under their 30-day repair warranty (since February has only 28 days). He initially scheduled a technician for March 17th but later changed the date multiple times, offering vague assurances. When I expressed frustration over paying over $1,000 for a fridge that never worked properly, the manager was dismissive and laughed at my concerns. He insisted the issue wasn't refrigerant-related and that I would likely need to pay for additional repairs--despite the fridge never functioning properly since purchase. When I declined further service, he responded with indifference. SMS Appliances' lack of accountability, poor customer service, and minimal 30-day warranty reflect their questionable business practices. Other refurbished appliance stores offer 12-18 month warranties, and I strongly urge Calgary consumers to take their business elsewhere.

Terrible experience at The Source in Cross Iron Mills (Calgary, Alberta) today - Tuesday, November…read more24, 2020. The staff did not honour the deal that was posted on the website. When I asked to speak with the manager, the staff claimed to have spoken with the manager over the phone but the call was made in the back room so I don't even know if the call actually took place. When I asked again to speak directly with the manager the staff would not make the phone call and would not give me the manager's phone number. I do not understand why I was not permitted to speak to the manager myself to sort things out - as a consumer, I believe that items should be sold as advertised, not decided on the whim of the front-end staff. What a poorly run store with very arrogant and rude staff. I absolutely do not recommend shopping at this store.

Never going to the source again, especially this store. I am outraged with the single worst customer experience ever. I had to deal with the store manager on multiple occasions over the return of my faulty iPhone 7 that I had for 2 days with an over heating battery. My battery was dead when I arrived so when I was asked to present my phone for inspection they plugged it in to check if they could replicate the problem. So I'm standing here for 10 minutes wondering what's going on at this stage and I figure I would ask, "what are we doing here?" To which receive flat, "we're testing your phone." Uncertain about what this meant I probed on, "what are you testing?" The man looks up annoyed and say, "to see if your battery broken." So I'm taken a back and buddy turns right back to his screen without further explanation. He finally picks up my phone a few minutes later and remarks to coworker that yes, the phone is overheating. So I take the opportunity to ask, about returning the phone because I want the iPhone 7 plus. This clerk informs me that I can not because I have used my phone for 90 minutes where as to return the phone I must have used it for less than 30. I voice that I think this is ridiculous because a) I'm looking to upgrade, b) he's giving me brand new phone anyway and c) I have had the phone for all of 48 hrs. He insisted that I could not return the phone citing the usage policy. When I complained and asked to escalate the issue he proceeded to hand me the store phone to take it up with Bell (my service provider.) I'm annoyed at this point so I complain that I bought the phone from the source and that they should have to take the phone back. Buddy repeat himself and says I need to take up with Bell. Now I'm annoyed with his customer service, so I ask, "so how are you helping me here?", he tells me that he's replacing the phone for me to which I complain that doesn't help me if I'm looking to upgrade, it just means I'm stuck with a brand new phone instead of a broken one with no usage minutes that somebody is going to have to take back so that I can get my upgrade. Guy dismisses my complaint citing the over usage and says take up with Bell. I'm completely frustrated at this point by the service, policy and attitude of this guy. So I demand for my broken phone and figure that if Bell is the one that will be taking my phone back, I'll deal with them. Continued in Part 2

Over the years we have always tried to maintain that same quality in our soil. For the last number of years, we have made a point of purchasing a Big Yellow Bag of Black Garden Soil from Blue Grass Nursery & Garden Center here in EDMONTON to top up our garden beds with. Topping up a tree and flower garden with 'garden mix' soil offers several benefits, such as retaining moisture in the soil, reducing the need for frequent watering, especially in dry conditions, providing a slow-release source of nutrients, reducing the need for commercial fertilizers, saving money and reducing the risk of over-fertilization. It also provides food and habitat for beneficial organisms like earthworms and bacteria, which play an important role in soil aeration and nutrient cycling as well as helping to improve the pH of your soil, which can be crucial for plant growth, especially if your soil is too acidic or too alkaline. One of the super nice things about buying soil this way is that it's delivered right to your driveway. No big pile of loose dirt dumped on your driveway. Use it when you're ready. The service from the Blue Grass Nursery is amazing from the office personnel to the forklift driver. Thank you, Blue Grass Nursery, you're the best!
